The annexation thing is not a MegaVerse thing. The Imperial Nations also aren't really MegaVerse either. Jar Wattinree in the MegaVerse and outside of it are two different things entirely.

In fact, prior to the modern era, Jar Wattinree was insular and quite busy with its own internal affairs. It has... a complicated racial past, in addition to a former series of tyrannical kings. It has good relations with Foxotania, Stickacia, and Penguinya on its borders because it has to, and not so-good-relations with East Lebatuck on its northern borders and that's because EL launched a space-to-ground kinetic strike on my capital city, Maethrillian. The new capital is Requiem. The whole political situation is rather fragile and dependent on strong military alliances with Samasbhi, and the charisma my leader has in maintaining internal harmony within the nation.
