The Mzikos Journal
This article is about an explosion in the Mzikos Stock Exchange. The events detailed within have been taken from smaller articles written as events unfolded.
On the 22nd of April, 3018 at approximately 10:10 this morning, a hijacked bus packed full of explosives rammed into the lobby of the Mzikos and exploded, bringing down the building. As Mzeusia watched, the building caught fire and then collapsed, killing an unknown amount of people.
The threat level has been raised to one and soldiers are ready to deploy within the hour as we heard in the emergency broadcast.
Sirakles Tylosis rushed to the scene alongside the emergency workers and began giving aid and digging people out of the rubble. A group of people nearby have also aided the effort as Mzeusia is in shock, wondering who did this, what were their motives and what will Mr Tylosis do in response?
Recently, Mzeusian Intelligence Services have identified the terrorist ringleader behind the Mzikos Stock Exchange bombings. The leader has a fortified compound deep within the nation of Blackacre, a nation with historically bad relations with Mzeusia. In a secretive infiltration into Blackacre, condemned by some within Mzeusia, the leader was killed by the Mzeusian special forces. Only one Mzeusian died.
A memorial to remember the tragic events of bombing has been set up on the grounds of the stock exchange. A concrete replica of the building has been erected, mid way through crumbling, bricks flying everywhere frozen in time. The names of all the people who died has been engraved into the concrete. It is a dramatic symbol of what happened on that spot. On the ground stand on large plaques, some facts about each person that has died. Most families agreed for this to go ahead but those families who did not give consent know that their relative has not been included.
A few months later
Now theories are beginning to circulate as to how the Stock Exchange collapsed. Some go against the rest and assert that it was an inside job." This vocal minority have stirred up anger, even assaulting some of the survivors. Sirakles Tylosis himself went to the scene of the memorial to address the gathering crowd. Heated words were exchanged by mainly. Mr Tylosis himself went down to the site when the Stock Exchange had collapsed, to help with the rescue effort. He was aided by his driver "Walter Lee in this effort.
During the argument that took place, Mr Lee swung a fist at the leader of the group of conspiracy theorists, knocking the man to the ground. Both men were restrained and calmed down.
In response to these theories, the government has published an extremely rigorous document debunking all the claims of the conspiracy theorists. One particular scientist has set up a Ourvid channel to continue debunking any people still convinced of alternative claims.
