You know you're getting old when you don't even understand or know new slang

Daily Question #67 by Lion

What is your nations currency?

Every modern nation has moved away from the origins of product-for-product trade and towards new forms of trade through a single currency. Nowadays, there are even supranational cross-border currencies. So what is your nation's currency? How much is it worth? What is it backed by? What is its background and history? Just tell us a bit about your currencies.

Lionsroars currency is the 𝔏 (Lionsroarian Taler). It originated as a common trade good for Lionsroarian sailors and spread through the entire archipelago. It's quite devalued as the economy is currently struggling.

You can change the fish to chicken if you want to, that'll make it 25 cents more expensive.

Thy Gridland is not linguistically acquainted and has no prior knowledge of the meaning of thy post, thus leading him to ask if you could rephrase it
