Religion: Mzeusism is a polytheist religion and the gods are not loving. They are in fact, mercurial and violent.

Desonikas is the wolf god and the king of all the gods, often depicted hunting for sinners and watching Gredery play with wolves.

Minatal is the goddess of the moon and she is the guardian from evil, shown carrying the moon on her horse, Tesidok.

Igel is the god of war seen destroying Thoonian cities and fighting with soldiers defending Mzeusia.

Traritus is the god of death and sleep and is shown crying as Gredery plays.

Akses is the god of the sea and fishermen and is shown underwater, battling sea monsters and bringing storms.

Itiphan is the god of nature and life and is shown to be tending the gardens of the gods and attending the births of heroes like Gredery.

Felitas is the goddess is love and beauty and is shown at weddings and at divorces.

Yerdral is the god of craftsmen, trade and money and is shown at the centre of the cities in his workshop, handing out new creations to Mzeusians.

Thethkan is the goddess of wisdom and is shown alone and deep in thought and also holding meetings to advise the gods.

Moglan is the goddess of medicine and magic and is shown leaning over the sick and conjuring spirits.

Epicras is the god of the sun and all other light and is shown riding his horse, Klipnophon, holding the sun and bringing light to dark places.

In the beginning, there was only Igel and Traritus and Rophosion. Rophosion was a creature who dwelt in the deepest most caverns of the Earth, away from all other beings. He was the very first being in the universe and his form and power is incomprehensible to humans. Igel and Traritus dwelt on the surface, unaware of Rophosion's presence.

One day, Igel challenged Traritus to a duel and both were injured. They both fled into the mountains. With no war and no death, Itiphan rose from the earth and life began. With life came all the other gods. Traritus and Igel returned but the other gods stopped them from fighting, beating first Traritus and then Igel. From then on, war only happened with reason and boundaries were placed on Traritus to limit the destruction of all the things the other gods had built.

Soon the gods were fighting for power and in the end, Desonikas rose to the top and ruled over the other gods, on top of the world mountain. The world mountain was a place linking all corners of the world and allowed the gods to travel wherever they wanted. That mountain has been thought to have been Tyseran mountain in real life and the place where all the major gods resided. Because of this, they have become collectively known as the Tyserian's

Because of this great conflict that had taken place, Rophosion was awoken. He came from his caverns and into the light of the sun. He saw the godly order that was beginning to take shape and thought it weak. He also saw the potential of the earth, and wished to rule over it. With this thought in mind, he set out to take the earth as his own. He strode into battle against the surprised gods. They fought together in their weakened state, with Desonikas leading the charge. The battle shook the foundations of the planet and destroyed great swathes of land and sea. The Gods eventually triumphed, beating Rophosion back to the caverns, but they were shocked at what had been a near defeat. As punishment, they bound the creature with the strongest chains that could be forged and made a fearsome beast whom they named Kesinori telling him to kept Rophosion subdued. Lastly, they sealed off all entrances to the upper world with almost immovable rock.

Purity is something striven for in Mzeusism, in order to reach Fulfilment. To be pure means not taking any drugs, and only consuming food and drink, and doing so in moderation. Taking drugs, it is believed, signifies a rejection by the user, of his/her power to change and improve their own lives. It also means to try to resist feelings such as jealousy, lust, doubt, and hatred. In the beginning, when both death and war were recovering from their duel, and life was allowed to flourish, the perfect conditions for all life were created, and everything lived in paradise. Humans too, lived in this paradise, and they were perfect human beings, who had no knowledge of the negative feelings listed. Then, with the awakening of Rophosion, all life was corrupted, and the paradise was no more. Ever since then, humans have been striving to be pure like they once were. To reach Fulfilment is to have achieved purity, but Fulfilment is only a temporary state, that lasts as long as the state of purity lasts. Everyone should therefore live according to the idea of purity as strictly as they can, to prolong the state of bliss that is Fulfilment.

Religious Festivals:

The festival of Desonikas is during Hekatinth. First sacrifices and prayers are made to Desonikas and then the hunt gets underway. They hunt the prey of the wolf with the moon as their guide. Whoever brings down the most impressive prey gets to eat the best part of the animal and take the antler or hoof. The second day, wrestling and sprinting takes place with the winners getting a carving of a wolf each.

The festival of Traritus is held during Ordekon and on the first day, participants will pray to Traritus and make a sacrifice to him so that he can help those wandering the underworld find light. Prayers are also made calling on Traritus to help sleep but nobody is allowed to call on him to kill another person.

The festival of Minatal is held during Akedon. On the first day, sacrifices and prayers are made to help those lost in the world find their way home and to keep evil spirits out of people’s minds. Carvings of Minatal on Tesidok her horse, are given to each other and the person with the best carving receives the gift of a necklace with a smooth white stone.

The festival of Itiphan is during Efidorus. It lasts for two days and on the first day, people pray for good harvest and an absence of disease. They also pray for long life for everyone and pray that Mzeusians can live in harmony with nature. The prayers are accompanied by sacrifices and on the second day, trees will be planted, and animals are released into the wild.

The festival of Epicras takes place during Navet and on the first day, prayers are made to keep light in the sky and in the minds of people, to keep the inspiration and drive of Mzeusia going. Sacrifices are made and on the second day, everyone lights a torch and lights are placed around the towns and cities and everyone makes friends and tries to help one another.

The Festival of Felitas is held during Doykos. During the festival, no animals are eaten, only sacrificed and family are meant to get together and laugh. The festival last from five days and prayers to Felitas and family re-unions can go on throughout the festival with the sending of gifts in supply carts to soldiers if they are fighting. Attempts are made at peace between Mzeusia and its enemies and warring families try to settle disputes.

The festival of Akses is during Holsis. During this time, fish that have been keep in fish farms get released into the waters. No predatory fish are released as this could derail the amount of other fish and destroy the food chain. Sacrifices are made and prayers to keep the seas calm and the fish, plentiful. Feasting lasts for four days and on the third, participants row out into the sea and stay still in their boat, away from other people and think in calmness. Some worshippers even leave to go to an uninhabited island and stay there for months at a time building a fishing community and praying to Akses. Due to this practise, several islands around Mzeusia were populated as fishing communities dedicated to Akses. On the last day, a bonfire is set alight to attract the attention of Akses and a life-size carving of dolphin is floated out on a boat to be blessed and then a team of men set out to retrieve it.

The festival of Igel during Cetan is a three-day festival. On the first day, boys over the age of ten receive military training and those who wish to join the army being given a second day as well. On the second day, feasts are prepared and the triumphs of the Mzeusian army and navy are celebrated. New ships will also be commissioned, and the army will see a boost in its numbers if Mzeusia is in a war. On the third day, soldiers parade around the streets and military exercises take place and prayers are made to Igel for victory in battle.

The festival of Thethkan is held during Iltimath. On the first day, plans are drawn up for every eventuality from flooding to war to a retrieving a lost item. People can come to the government and voice their worries and people are encouraged to work together to overcome problems. On the second day, prayers for wisdom from everyone, publicly led by the leaders. The third day is spent feasting.

The festival of Yerdral is during Nalske and the first day people huddle around the fire and play music, instruments having been invented by Yedral and pray for creative inspiration. Blacksmith and crafters of all sorts compete to make the most impressive machine or object. This is a time for people to come together with the luxuries created by Yedral like the musical instruments and fire. Fire is celebrated as the heat from Yedral’s workshop when he was forging the armour of the gods caused sparks fall to earth and even in cold Nalske, the sparks set wood alight and thus, Yedral gave Mzeusia, fire.

The festival of Moglan is during Arethen. On the first day, the government will send healers out on the streets to help permanent healers and more are sent to soldiers so that they arrive on the first day of the festival. On the second day, prayers are made to the sick and feasting lasts for three days.

The festival of the Gods is the largest festival but smaller festivals for individual gods are also held around Mzeusia. The festival of the Gods is a five-day event during Gredery [December] and it starts with visiting the pantheon in Mzikos, the capital city, where the entire festival will take place. In modern times, people visit their local pantheons instead.

On the first day, everyone will pray for something or give thanks for something. They will then sacrifice an animal. Then the competitors in the upcoming competitions, pray for good luck. Then everyone relaxes and the competitors can either do the same or continue to train. On the second day, poetry reading are held, plays performed, music played and victors are chosen but not revealed. On the third day, there are chariot races, horse races, foot races both long and short. The victors are chosen but not revealed. On the fourth day the competitions for spear throwing, wrestling and sword fighting take place. The victors are decided but not declared. On the fifth day, everyone whether competing or, not has the choice to have a fight. Everyone fights everyone with strict rules for what is not allowed. No armour and no weapons are allowed. No biting or gouging or scrathching or running. The last eleven men standing are the winners. Then every victor in the entire festival is announced. Then the victors thank the gods for their triumph and parade around the city before feasting.

General Mzeusism:

The spirit and the body are important concepts in Mzeusism and are thought to be like two advisers, advising the person on what to do. The body and spirit are meant to be in union within a person, striving for the same thing. The spirit advises the mental aspect of a person, and the body of course advises their physical aspect. When someone has a mental disorder, it is explained as the body and spirit being at odds, and in conflict with one another. They should not be seen in a devil and angel way, but as two forces that work in tandem to help the person achieve their goals and to help them get through life.

The mother will try to give birth in a natural space like a garden and the family will pray for Itiphan to trick Traritus into staying away and letting the mother and child live. If mother or dies, or child is stillborn, then it is assumed that Traritus was not fooled. If the birth is successful, then animal sacrifices are made to Itiphan. For seven days the baby will have no name and a plant must be planted in the garden regardless of if that was the place the baby was born. The period that the baby is nameless is a sacred time when it is thought that the baby is open to be blessed by the gods. Anyone can visit the house to suggest names and at the end of the seven days, at night, the baby will be taken to the garden and named by the parents.

If the baby is stillborn, then a seven-day fasting will begin and the parents will wear black. Then the parents take a candle to the Trarition [a building where candles are placed to remember the dead] and they place a candle for the life of their baby. The parents then leave and only come back with another child’s candle for mourning is not done here. Then usual funeral then takes place.

If the mother dies in childbirth, the father begins a thirty-day fasting and wears black for those thirty days. Then the father cuts a vertical cut across both palms and takes some of his blood and gives it over to candle makers who then dye the candle red with the father’s blood. Then the red candle is placed in the Trarition and the hair from the mother [given to the father at marriage] is scattered in a forest or from the top of a mountain by the father who does this alone. Then the usual funeral takes place.

Funeral: The dead would be cremated, and the ashes would be carried by the dead person’s closest relative and placed at the edge of the forest where a seed would be planted on top and a tree could then grow from the ashes. The closest relation cuts their hair to be placed with the ashes. If the mother has died and the father lives, then the hair given by the father to the mother at marriage will be chosen. A thirty-day fast is observed for all but stillborn babies. Immediate relatives wear black for the length of the fast. Then the closest surviving relative will spend a day in the forest planted from the ashes of the dead, each major city has one. No prayers are said, and no items accompany the body as the person must be judged by the gods, fairly without prayer or wealth.

While the physical body goes to grow the tree, the spirit of the deceased is accompanied to the gods by three figures, the warrior, the farmer and the politician. They are the embodiment of the different aspects that make up a perfect Mzeusian. A brave fighter, a hard worker and an engaged member of society. They help guide the dead person to the gods, and help the gods in their judgement.

When two people wanted to get married they would pray to Thethkan. The parents would decide whether the match was suitable enough and the decision was said to be made by Thethkan. Parents were not strict on who could marry whom and so they ceremonies would begin. First, an animal would be sacrificed and then the lovers would exchange a piece of their hair and then they would go to the temples of Thethken and Felitas and pray. Then they would have a feast and the family of both families would give them gifts. With that, the newly-wed could find a place to move into.

When Mzeusia would go to war, a sacrifice would be made to Desonikas, Traritus and Igel. A life-sized straw dummy would be set alight and the Priests in Mzikos would begin to pray to Traritus and then, as people heard it they would join in. The Praying would reach the ears of the boy up the mountain and then a Mzeusian youth called The Caller would light the beacon when he heard the prayer. The beacon would then be seen by other cities and the soldiers would get ready and the praying would begin hearing as well. More beacons would light until the whole of Mzeusia would be praying for a minute with the ripple effect of the prayers ending in Mzikos and then spreading out as each city came to the end.

The afterlife in Mzeusism was a very simple place indeed. The death of a person, meant that their spirit would go into growing the tree seed planted in their ashes and the body would go to be judged in front of all the gods. The evil would end up in Yerdral’s workshop, working away their evil with their own sweat by inventing things that Yerdral would toss to earth. It was believed that a lucky Mzeuian might pick the idea up and create whatever it was.

If the person was neither good or bad overall, the gods would erase their memory and leave them to wander the underworld. When a person’s body is set to wander the underworld, one of two things can happen. They can be become lost in the darkness and wander forever, or they can find light and be moved on to the Blessed land.

The Blessed land is where the good people go. Here they can have a good time and celebrate their victory over life and death. Alternatively, a good person can choose to be reborn.

The Last Days, is the time when the world will end. This end will come about when the Gods grow to dislike enough to take stand. The humans will have warped the world just enough to send the Gods into a rage. The Gods see all the developments that are made, and eventually they will take a stand against the out of control humans. When this happens, they shall release the most feared of all monsters. They shall release Rophosion from his imprisonment to stalk the earth.

The Minor gods:

The godly lineage can be a hectic world, the list of minor gods has been complied below their godly parents. Minor gods were created by the eleven major gods to help them run the world. This was done by selecting an early human and making them the god or goddess of the certain thing. Small statues of certain minor gods are kept in Mzeusian homes. Popular ones include Efidorus, god of loyalty, Ordekon, god of balance and Nalos, god of peace. Some of these gods have given birth to the Mzeusian names for the months, like the first month of the Mzeusian calendar, Hekatinth, a minor god of loyalty, named after the son of Desonikas. Monsters:

Monsters were created when gods both major and minor, produced children either with other gods, humans or animals. There are many different species of monsters and they have been organised in alphabetical order. There are also spirits that are children of the gods. They reside in their individual river or forest or on top of their mountain as almost all geographical features have their own spirits. Given their huge number, they shall not be mentioned.

  • Kesinori is the beast who was tasked to subdue Rophosion, to keep him from taking revenge on the gods.

Kesinori is a warrior of great strength, created by all the gods to make sure that a primordial being, Rophosion, does not escape his imprisonment. Kesinori has many powers unimaginable to humans, and was created from the godly essence. Part of death itself resides within him, given to him by Traritus, and he uses that to keep Rophosion incapacitated. He resides within the caverns and is by Rophosion's side night and day, fulfilling for every his god-given duty.

  • Deimolus is the name given to one of the most fearsome beasts in Mzeusism.

First, here is a little background. Deimolus is a bear-like creature but three times the size of a grizzly bear but with an elongated snout and thick fur that will stop any spear. It is known throughout the nation as a terrifying monster who is incredibly strong and has been known to devastate towns in an afternoon, and given its size, it needs a lot of food.

It is said to live in the forested regions of Mzeusia, prowling through the trees and flattening foliage beneath its huge paws. It is a mainly nocturnal creature, which has only served to add to the tales of danger and mystery. It is often depicted watching the bright fires from a bronze age farm, features ominously illuminated by the moonlight, saliva dripping slowly from gleaming teeth.

Sightings of this creature have been scarce but the would-be heroes that lined up to face it were many. Only Gredery Wolfson was able to defeat it after a gruelling fight during which he almost lost his hand to its strong jaws.

  • The Abeckonies, [singular Abeckon] children of Felitas and Itiphan, are a race of Moose-like humans. They are taller than normal humans with large antlers and the head of a moose by they are bipedal although they have trouble walking. They are very aggressive and live around mountainous areas, working in packs to hunt

  • The Alroskons, [singular Alroskon], children of Doykos and Iras, are three winged brothers, Ephides, Liphokes and Ophilies. They live on an island off the coast of Mzeusia and fly out to torment and eat sailors off of boats sailing near.

  • Aphoron, child of Akses and Deveskas, is a huge sea serpent that lies off the coast of Mzeusia. She lies dormant at the moment and not much is known about her but that she is incredibly intelligent and feared even by the gods as Traritus had to put her to sleep when she threatened to destroy the world. It has been prophesised that she will awaken one day and seek to kill the gods for what they did.

  • Aralonis, child of Desonikas and Ersis, a mortal. He a mighty two-headed bear that can breathe fire and is nocturnal, roaming the forests of Mzuesia looking for food. He has slain many would-be heroes and travellers who enter his territory which is the thickest part of the forest.

  • Barosloni, [singular Baroslon] children of Epicras and Afriton, are bipedal ants half the height of an adult male that have a language to communicate and have larger, more human limbs. They build large underground nests and are highly organised with many different types of Baroslon that are all suited to different jobs. They have no one habitat and their nests are scarce but found in all climates in Mzeusia.

  • Bortasis is a child of Minatal and a stallion. It is an eight legged horse with scales across its back and the teeth of a carnivore. It is also the fastest horse in the world and is said to even reach speeds of 50mph. It has been depicted bringing multiple gods to war although not at the same time.

  • Bralodon, child of Nisas and Derophalon, a mortal. She is a goat-woman who spends almost all her time in the waters off Mzeusia. She has gills, two long tails where human legs would be, human limbs that end in hoofs and the elongated snout and jaw of a goat. She is very peaceful, will guide sailors and aid drowning sailors in getting to dry land.

  • Celokason, child of Uphiton and a snake, is a serpent who has been exiled to an island off the Mzeusian coast by the gods for attempting to kill Nalske. He is as big as three adult men and understands all the languages of the world including animal ones. He spends his time killing unsuspecting prey on the island, mainly birds that fly down to roost, and plotting how to get off the island.

  • Dalapholis, child of Trarius and Uekon, is a bipedal creature twice the size of an adult male with the body and head of a lizard and muscled legs of a lion. Dalapholis is one of the most intelligent beings that is not a god. He has horns that are three meters long and curve around its head like that of a ram except much more impressive. He takes pleasure in attacking villages that he finds when wondering across the Mzeusian countryside.

  • Dekeranties, [singular, Dekerantos] children of Eurphes and Iltimath are giant bees that spray acid and collect the blood of whatever they can. When they have the blood, it is stored in a second stomach. The Dekeranies fly back to their hive where they collect natural sweeteners from plants that the hive is made next to. Then they use their acid, which, when in contact with air produces heat, to evaporate the water in the blood. When that is done they store the thick, sugary liquid now called Liquid Blood Sugar in the hive to be eaten by their young.

  • The Dylarsies, [singular, Dylarsi], children of Desonikas and Igel, are a race of creatures resembling buffalo but they have horns like those on a Scimitar oryx which is to say that they are vertical and curved. Their fur is white and light grey and their tail ends in a lump of bone about as large as a human skull. They have wings protruding from their backs but they are too small to fly with and used only to appear bigger and therefore more freighting to predators. They use their tails to defend themselves and move in herds.

  • Elakonis, child of Hekatinth and a fox, she is a giant fox with two tails, three heads and two fins coming out of her back. Elakonis also has the legs of a wolf and ears that can pick out the smallest of sounds. She lives within the forests of Mzeusia and has no permanent den, instead making a new den every night. Elakonis also follows Aralonis to try to fight him for the corpses of his prey seeing as he is a much larger monster and can kill larger prey.

  • The Eyalies , [singular, Eyali], children of Efidorus and Sophas, a mortal, are five quadrupedal monsters, Forkos Aeronis, Lisra, Mephos and Hechus. They have short limbs with large paws, human-like facial features and the teeth of a carnivore. They are about the size of a large badger but have dark brown fur and excel at digging and running. They have a dislike of light.

The following myths are roughly in chronological order coming after the creation of the godly order.

With Desonikas having won the battle against the other gods and Rophosion securely trapped, he was secure in his power, ruling over all that was created. The other gods concerned him little as they wandered, the minor gods had not yet been created and monsters were few and far between, products of the major gods alone at this point. The monsters roamed freely terrorising humans and animals alike but none of the gods had any reason to intervene. To them, humans and animals were not separate is any way and the gods did not notice the higher intelligence that we seemed to possess. During this time, the gods quickly grew bored as the world seemed to stagnate. No new things were created and no civilisations or even villages for that matter had sprung up. Humans had been driven almost to extinction by the monsters.

It was at this point that Igel decided to act. He knew a fight with his siblings would only result in a lost battle and being the god of war, he tended to know when the odds were not in his favour. He consoled himself with fighting monsters and any minor gods stupid enough to be around when he was nearby. One day, when Desonikas was out walking, enjoying the pleasant scenery that Itiphan had so generously provided, he came across something that troubled him greatly.

"What is this!" he bellowed, summoning all the rest of the Tyserian gods to him at once. Thethkan knew but spoke not. Before Desonikas, and now all the other gods, was a field of wild horses, all slain in the most brutal fashion. The sight sickened the gods as they tried to figure out who it might have been. Then Igel stepped in front of Desonikas, bowing low. "It was I who performed this most appalling deed."

Desonikas growled the wolf's growl and raised a mighty fist as if to strike the war god.

"I see now that it was wrong." Igel said hastily. "I may be the god of war and that position might suit me perfectly, but this was not war, it was slaughter against innocent creatures. In my frustration, I lashed out."

Desonikas had been feeling that same frustration along with all the other gods but he asked all the same. "Why do you feel frustrated?"

Igel shrugged before replying. "There is so little to do, so much space and nobody to talk to, nothing to conquer, no one to fight or fight with. I am a god but what of? The only violence that occurs couldn't be called a war, just an execution by a monster to an animal. How is that interesting in any way?"

The other gods began to mumble their agreement and so Desonikas decided to hold a meeting on mount Tyseran about what should be done. For months they deliberated but to no avail. In the end Desonikas called an end to the meeting, declaring that they should come back to the topic tomorrow.

Felitas, goddess of love and beauty had been feeling particularly distressed as there was no love to be found in all the world at this time, or so she thought. She descended Tyseran and heard something that intrigued her. She moved with incredible speed to the source of the sound and found two humans, sitting at the base of the mountain making strange noises. Felitas approached the two people with ferocious curiosity. "What are you doing?" She asked.

These humans were not stupid, and they got to their knees as the goddess drew near. "We were only laughing." said one.

"We mean no offence." added the other.

Felitas stopped and she thought for a moment. Then she let out a laugh so grating and so harsh that all the other gods apart from Igel fled, fearing it to be the cries of an enormous beast. Enraged, she ordered the humans to laugh again but they could not laugh on command and so they were unable to fulfil her request. When she asked them why they were laughing, they told her the joke. It took a while to explain it to her and all the humour in it was lost to them but to Felitas, the joke was still fresh, and she laughed the most beautiful laugh that has ever been heard.

Igel, thinking these humans had bewitched the goddess, raised his hand to obliterate the humans who ran away in fear when they saw him. Felitas scolded him and immediately called for the gods to be called back to Tyseran. When they had all arrived, Felitas told them of her discovery.

When Desonikas heard this news, he sent the gods out to kidnap two humans from each corner of Mzeusia and bring them back to the base of Tyseran. There, the humans were observed and protected by the gods although they were never aware that they were being watched. After their initial shock at leaving their homes, they began to get over any mistrust that had for each other and, as the months went by, they formed new relationships and built a small settlement. Over time, the gods added a few more people who were always received with open arms. With godly protection and the resources of the land, the humans hollowed out a cave and called it Tyseran, after the mountain it was built next to. In modern day, the city still bares that name.

The gods watched with fascination and delight as their little experiment revealed so much about these creatures they had once thought to be no more intelligent that beasts, were proving themselves to be quite resourceful. Infant mortality was extremely high, and fire hadn't been discovered yet but compared to anything else not divine, the humans were far and away the most advanced. Despite all this, it didn't take long for the people to die of the elements or lack of food. It was clear that civilisation still had a very long way to go but the gods considered the experiment a success and met on Tyseran to discuss what to do with this new-found knowledge

In the third Tyseran meeting, it was decided that the humans should be protected from utter destruction at the hands of monsters. This protection did not however, mean that they would have an easy life.

Under the gods supervision, the hollowed out cave dwellings became larger until Yerdral and Thethkan decided to shake things up. Thethkan gave the humans a rudimentary knowledge of the world around them and Yedral went to his workshop and worked for weeks, creating things that nobody had ever seen. With Thethkan's knowledge and Yedral's gifts, they began to progress much more rapidly. They made spears for hunting and defending the village, small straw huts and learnt how to forage.

Soon the other gods joined in. Desonikas watched and gaurded them with a fearsome pack of wolves, Epicras gave them fire and Igel taught them to attack and defend. Moglan showed them how to aid someone when they were wounded. The village of Tyseran was soon created, the first of its kind.

Soon the people grew curious as people do. They marvelled at their luck but thought there might be a higher power intervening. Had they been more careful, they would not have done what they did, but seeing no other way to test their theory, they decided to kill one of the wolves that had been guarding them. After days of trying to separate one from the pack, they grew angry. Little did they know, their attempts had confused and annoyed Desonikas and he had been almost convinced that humans were no better than they other animals.

When he saw men charge out of their huts with spears, yelling at the wolves and throwing their weapons, he shot down from Tyseran and landed between the humans and wolves. He appeared as a human but three times taller than their tallest warrior and twice as strong.

"What on earth are you doing?" He roared.

"Are you a god?" They asked, timidly.

"What do you think mortals? Of course I am." he answered, puffing out his chest.

The humans bowed lowed, dropping their weapons. "We deeply apologise."

The other gods saw what was happening and rushed over, appearing in their godly forms. The humans were over whelmed and they froze.

Two unfortunate monsters had been planning to attack the village and were in shock at the sight of the gods. Traritus spotted them looking stupidly at the scene. At a glance, one of the monsters fell dead. The humans, who hadn't noticed they were about to be attacked, raised their spears at the remaining monster.

"No." Traritus commanded, going over to the monster and bending down low. "You tell all the others this my friend. Tell them that the gods have made themselves known and all who do bow to us shall perish." With that, the monster fled the scene, shouting in panic a cry that would reach all Mzeusia.

When that was done, the gods told the humans their offer. Having been lonely for so long, they demanded that they be worshipped as higher beings and that in return, they would make the village prosper. The humans had little choice but to agree with all the Tyserian gods before them.

Now that the gods had revealed themselves, they went to all the spirits and monsters and humans and animals and gave them the same offer. Everywhere they went, their offer was accepted, except by the few monsters that there were. This, the gods found perplexing, given that they were all children of the gods. The monsters were adamant and they held a great meeting were thousands gathered. Giving up the reigns of power was a difficult thing for them to accept and it didn't take long for the monsters to reach a unanimous decision. They were going to oppose the god's rule.

The monsters gathered for a week so that their forces could arrive. They had chosen the mountain of Deralion as their base. When the end of the week arrived, they began their march to Tyseran.

Minital was making her way across the sky on Tesidok, her horse. She looked down and saw the ranks of the monster army. Immediately sensing their goal, she rode hastily back to Tyseran, her battle cry reaching every edge of Mzeusia. When she arrived at Tyseran, the monster army had almost reached the mountain and the gods where gathering for war. Moglan was the last to arrive but he was just as angry at this invasion as the rest of them.

Desonikas addressed the Tyserian's. "Moglan, you stay behind and heal us when we need it. Yerdral, after this battle, you must make us the best armour but as you have no time now, I demand your strength and courage. I demand the same thing from all of you. He howled into the wind, a chilling sound that drove fear into the enemies. "Tonight, we defend our home and our status. Let's show these upstarts what they have done."The gods yelled back their approval and descended Tyseran to meet the monsters.

The battle was earth-shattering. Desonikas was at the fore with Igel and Minital beside him, the three of them hammering into the monster lines. Moglan danced in between the carnage, touching the gods when they felt tired. Epicras riding majestically on Klipnophon, radiating light that burned all it touched. Traritus, usually looking bored with life, charged into the fray with his godly kin, slaying a hundred monsters with a sweep of his hand.

The battle was soon done, the gods were victorious and their children lay lifeless. Moglan healed what minor wounds the gods had received and they were all feeling jubilant. The first battle to keep their godly positions had been a decisive victory. It would not be the last competition they would face, but they were certainly off to a good start.

After the battle, the Tyserians were feeling rather insecure and annoyed. Now they had no monsters and their protection for the humans was not needed. Desonikas called a meeting on Tyseran where they decided that the world was too large a place for them to govern without cutting out all fun.

With this pressing matter pressuring them into action, the gods started to observe humans again. This time however, they studied them individually and marvelled once again at their personalities. They were all so different.
After a year of watching, the gods visited the humans that they had picked. What did they pick them for? To be the minor gods.

These humans had displayed extraordinary qualities of a certain kind. There was for example, an extremely loyal one called Hekatinth. He was visited by Desonikas and made the minor god of loyalty. With this method, around fifty minor gods were born to rule over specific aspects of the world.

To stop the minor gods revolting just like the monsters had, the Tyserian gods made each one declared undying loyalty to them and put a curse on them so that if any minor god tried to knowingly attack one of them, they would instantly fall dead.

With their power secure, the world was calm and peaceful, for now.

The peace that the gods had secured lasted for quite a while. Back then, time was not yet complete and so the exact amount of time the peace lasted, is not known. What is known however, is that many advancements were made in this period. The gods continued to look upon and interfere with the mortals. The humans made great leaps forward, becoming more cultured and enjoying the good times as the wine, bread and cheese were plentiful.

The minor gods disliked their limited power, but compared to their lives as humans, the status that came with being minor gods was a very advantageous thing. These new gods began to assert themselves in the human world, walking among them and meting out punishment to them when they saw fit. On other times, the minor gods were severely punished by the Major gods. The so-called myth of Fyniron and Agoanion is one such example. Before Deveskas became the god of violent storms, Fyniron occupied that position. Agoanion was a Mzeusian sailor, renowned for his skill at sailing in rough seas and making dangerous crossings with valuable possessions on board. One day, Fyniron spied his ship on the horizon. He was braving a storm with his crew, and Fyniron wanted to see just how tough he was.

A massive storm was whipped up, Fyniron making it larger and larger. The storm quickly became too large for even the great Agoanion to handle, and it tore his ship apart. Agoanion happened to be a favourite of Akses, god of the sea. When Normally Akses would have left Fyniron to his fun, not suspecting anything and not bothering to check on him. The storm was so unusually large however, that Akses grew curious and went to the sight of the wrecked ship.

When he saw Agoanion sinking to the bottom, drowned, he cried out in fury. Fyniron shook as Akses beckoned him over. All the sea-life stopped to watch what would happen.

"Why have you done this?" Akses roared.

"I was just bored father." Fyniron replied.

Akses was not impressed. "I'll send you to a place where you will never again be so bored as to drown like that again." With that, Akses summoned the full might of the sea and obliterated Fyniron where he stood.

Following the death of the minor god, Akses then appointed Deveskas to the position of god of violent storms, but that is a myth for another time.

No I have Hotel Lala for that thanks for the offer tho

Norta has always been a militarized nation of humans. Therefore, it is only natural that as a space-faring race, they would have weaponized space craft. This will be a compiled list of the cosmic weapons of the Nort race.

the F-90 Soulbird

The Soulbird, aka Solvalou or Sorubaru by the designers, was designed by Yashima/Normus Engineering company, and is designated as F-90 by the military. The Soulbird possesses a VLW (Variable Laser Weapon) or a 22MJ repeating railgun as its main gun, and holds 5 intelli-jet missiles (2 on the wings, 3 in the belly). The F-90 is very customizable and has been and used by nearly every Alliance Defense Air Corps pilot at one point in their career, and many aces have customized it to fit their needs. It is possible to add additional thrusters, a warp drive, missile placements, an extra VLW, and a top mounted pulse turret. The fighter is decades old, but is unlikely to ever be replaced as the main combat fighter.

FUN FACT: the Soulbird is known for propelling Azrael Rotav to fame in the military community, for his use of the fighter to rack up several hundreds of kills in space.

Sojourner-Class Warship

The Sojourner Class warship is similar in size to a standard Destroyer in the old days of earth. It has a relatively small crew, however. It holds a primary crew of 30 (captain, engineers, technicians, navigators, shiphands, gunners) and an additional 70 soldiers of different classes. The ship itself is armed with a heavy primary gun, either a particle accelerator or a railgun. It has 4 VLW placements, 4 RPC 64MJ placements, 14 MPS Gunship docking points, and 100 Intelli-Jet placements. The Intelli-Jet placements can also House other types of torpedoes. The Sojourner class can also hold 5 Soulbird fighters and 1 shuttle transport in a small hangar in its underside.

The MPS Gunship

The MPS (Military Purposed Satellite) Gunship is similar in premise to the Hadrian in the manner that it is built around a gun, but the Gunship takes it to a completely different level. It is equipped with a 64MJ gun and is usually deployed to pick off enemies in areas such as asteroid fields. It is also heavily used in orbital bombardment.

FUN FACT: the Gunship has been used by scientists to crack open asteroids, as well as miners having a rough time with some mining points as an alternative to hand-placed explosives.

The IP-70 Transport Shuttle

The IP-70 is one of the oldest vessels on this list. It’s purpose is simply to move soldiers across space. It is based off of old space shuttles, but is outfitted for more durability and flight in atmosphere. It is capable of warping on its own, which releases it from the need of a warship to ferry it. It is equipped with heavy pulse guns which are mounted in the doors on its sides to be used by door gunners in atmosphere against close targets, as well as 4 intelli-jet missiles and a duel 24MJ repeating railgun. After dropping off its squad, it is usually used for Close Air Support. It is also capable of dogfighting in a pinch.

The Landing Capsule

By far the most basic craft on the list, this craft is one of the more special ones. The landing capsule is used nowadays to insert small squads of special IEDF orbital jumpers onto planets. The low tech in the pod means that it is nearly impossible to detect by many enemy scanning technologies which are meant to pick up on certain communications in larger combat ships. A pod can either be launched from a shuttle outside of orbit, or launched en mass by a warship.

The F-380

The F-380 is a new model of possible combat aircraft, designed with the help of Geri Materva. The ship design has been labeled “Gunstar” in reference to Materva’s time as pilot of a Gunboat. The Gunstar is similar in premise. 2 cockpits, one for flying and one for gunning. However, the Gunstar gives the gunner much more control, with 2 fully gyroscopic VLW turrets on top and bottom. It also can be equipped with Intelli-Jet missiles in its oddly shaped wings. This ship blurs the line between fighter and Gunboat. At the moment, there is only one combat operational F-380 in existence, but it is said to go into production soon.

Note: the F-380 design has been decommissioned at the advent of a modified Hadrian design.

Orbital Combat Platform

The Orbital Combat Platform is an old-fashioned orbital installment similar to a bombardment station, but is more oriented towards defending a planet rather than attacking it. It is armed with several rockets and/or intelli-jets located in a forward pod. It is used to attack enemy scout ships, drones/other satellites, and incoming high-yield projectiles.

FUN FACT: the Orbital Combat Platform Of today was once what most starfighters looked like 4 decades ago. Most of these weapons still have optional cockpits for a pilot to control them.

Orbital Weapons Platform

The Orbital Weapons Platform is a space installation designed for bombarding ground targets. It is usually deployed via shuttle over a planet. The Platform is designed to drop tungsten rods from orbit, which accelerate and cause massive damage through kinetic energy. The Norts tend to prefer the use of rods over nukes, as they do heavy damage while not causing the permanent damage of radiation.

The MK2 orbital combat and defense station

This station type was developed to make up for the lack of starships stationed to defend solar systems due to them being on the offensive. It is meant to somewhat mimic the firepower of a small battleship. It has a crew of 3: gunner, engineer, and navagator. The gunner runs the weapons, the engineer works to keep them running, load them, survey the damage, and the navigator marks target positions and plots the station’s orbital path. The station is armed with one duel-barrel plasma gun with a 360° spin on top of the station for close combat, and a 64MJ mass driver that gives the station its peculiarly long length. It can also be used to launch guided projectiles as well.

The F-43

The F-43 fighter-bomber is a hypersonic scramjet fighter and bomber. While not a dedicated starship, it can perform very effectively in upper atmosphere and below, utilizing 2 scramjet engines to travel at speeds exceeding Mach-10. Meaning, when a F-43 is deployed, they can strike anywhere on a planet within a few minutes. They can be dropped by a cruiser in orbit or ferried between planets by a detachable plasma thruster. They are equipped with 2 24MJ repeating railguns and a large payload of B9 guided bombs.

The Snipe Class torpedo boat

The snipe class is a small ship, designed for long range strikes. It is designed to operate far from any reinforcements. It is designed to deliver Intelli-jets and other explosive shells to its target. Despite its small size, it has the largest missile payload of any Nort ship, boasting 180 placements for missiles or rockets to be mounted. This ship type is favored by highly-trained and highly-selective skeleton crews.

The Achilles Class Dreadnought

The Achilles Class is a ship that has steered away from the Nort fleet doctrine which demands for a ship to have a main gun. Instead, the Achilles Class sacrifices this for several 108MJ gun placements, 38 of these guns total. It is the largest and one of the most powerful ships designed by Norta. There is currently only one in production, and Strategic Command intends to keep a limit on how many dreadnoughts can be constructed, depending on when and if they’re needed.

The A-45 Hannibal

The A-45 Hannibal is a strike craft meant for killing off heavy targets, usually in the role of Close Air Support (CAS). It is based off of the Hadrian design, which itself is based heavily off of the old A-10 Warthog utilized by the Americans, and is heavily modified. The primary modification is a single pilot. It capable of striking from greater distances, built for both atmospheric and orbital combat, and capable of self-warp, making it a great tool for space-based guerrilla type combat, as it can travel independently from a battleship. It is essentially a plane built around a large gun. That gun being a rotary 34MJ railgun. It is known for literally ripping alien tank-like vehicles to shreds. Along with its main gun, it is equipped with a plethora of intelli-jet missiles and B9 guided bombs.

FUN FACTS:
1. the Hannibal’s unmodified predecessor, the Hadrian, was almost put out of commission under pressure from left-wing groups and outside civilizations and species that wanted a demilitarization of human space, until general Geri Materva, a tactical master and a former gunner-pilot of the Hadrian held a 7 hour speech detailing his experiences and tactical knowledge in aerial and space warfare in order to convince them that it was a tactical mistake.
2. Materva’s famous, modified Hadrian, the Stargun, is still in service today.

I didn't know about the marriage bit. Polytheistic religions have gods about specific things because guess what, there is more than one god so they need to be selective. I think polytheistic religions makes more sense than monotheistic religions.
