This new proposal has my vote. Will be interesting to see who is appointed!

Comrade, the previous proposal has been on the RMB for several days... I made some comments on it above...

Furthermore, you did acted unilaterally and exceeded your authority in setting a new poll. Apologies for doing this, but I must cancel the poll for now until we sort out this confusion... I will be in the GA room in the next half an hour to try and discern the problem... I will inform you publicly when it has been resolved..

All GA Members please read my instructions in the Cabinet Room, and take note of them. I apologise for the confusion that has resulted, but there appears to have been some miscommunications. In the next day or so, the CURRENT referendum proposal will be submitted for public discussion prior to the vote..

Thank you for your patience:)

Once 1st Justice New Lonopolian Empire makes his preference known as to the form he wishes his proposal to take, it will be re-submitted for public discussion, and then voted upon... Once again, sorry for the confusion, but the exact nature of the proposal being discussed will be clear when 1st Justice NLE indicates his preference.

Certain members of the General Assembly took it upon themselves to create a new proposal without my knowledge, and proceeded to start a public vote on it, they made this decision unilaterally, without prior consultation with their colleagues. The vote they started was invalid as it was not the proposal which has been presented for public discussion over the past few days. The person responsible has been given a reprimand and assurances have been sought that this embarrassment will not occur again. The issue is dealt with, as far as I am concerned.

Comrades! I have just added a Regional Recruitment Telegram Template to the RMB! Because we realise writing out recruitment telegrams can be time-consuming, we've started by creating a template to help everybody out. Now, you can take this and make your own changes to it if you wish, but there's a template now that stops everybody needing to write-up their own all the time. You don't have to be a government minister to recruit, now everybody can send out recruitment telegrams, quickly and easily! Even one or two per day or so could be of help! Our regional population has grown since the election, and I am confident that will continue, given our extremely active government and population, and our strong and continued commitment to democracy, diversity and equality.

Losinia wrote: I would implore my fellow comrades in TLA to vote against this "Overseer of Entertainment Act" as it presents a clear threat to our already strained administrative capabilities. It is unneeded space and will simply choke up the system even further.

As the original author of this amendment, I would like to remind each and every one of you that this does not clog up the government since all the legislation required for it is the Secretary appointing the position and then ending it, which takes no more than 5 minutes. I believe that Losinia fails to understand that this position does not vote, and therefore does not cause gridlock. It is designed to allow someone who manages an event to temporarily gain the ability to poll and send region-wide telegrams, allowing for the event to be run smoothly. That DOES NOT STRAIN ANY LEGISLATIVE CAPBILITIES - it temporarily gives power to whoever needs it.

Well, anyone that starts an event gets appointed 😀

Ok Comrades! Now that this issue has been sorted, Comrade NLE's final version of his proposal is being put up for public consideration. I invite you all to look at, and if necessary critique his work before it goes to a vote. If you have questions or problems with this proposal, speak up now. You all know my views on it, and, as much as I value Comrade Losinia's judgement, he is wrong on this question. This proposal will streamline our administrative capacities by taking work away from existing government ministers who already have a lot to do. I will be endorsing this, and voting in favour, and I encourage all of you to do the same.

Comrade NLE has done well with this proposal and I congratulate him on his initiative.

Let me start off by stating that I'm currently working off my phone, and my internet connection is dependent on the leniency of another's WiFi hotspot, so I am likely to be on for short random periods and am also likely to miss some content. Four days ago, NLE mentioned that his proposal was open for discussion. This is an example of something I missed, which I apologise for, and also recognise is the reason for all this confusion. NLE and myself agreed to a formal proposal via private telegram, and I mentioned this in GA private discussion without linking it. The reason for this was that I never realised discussion had opened on the RMB already. Today when Cedoria opened the initial poll, I quickly took it down to replace the URL because I didn't want nations casting useless votes. Apparently this was 'overstepping my authority'.

When I first saw the initial poll, I immediately assumed that Cedoria had forgotten about the public discussion, but in fact I had just missed it. Therefore, I assumed that the new URL would be fine to use, considering no-one (I thought) had seen the initial one either. I'd also like to point out that this problem could've also been averted if the Secretary had read private GA discussions and seen the new changes (and also the fact that I mentioned there was a new proposal) prior to posting the poll. I apologise for my fault in this miscommunication, and I am relieved that the matter has been sorted. However, I am not pleased that all the blame was placed upon myself for the issue, nor do I appreciate how the Secretary blatantly attacked my actions without first listening to, or failing to accept, my perspective of the situation. I hope you can understand my point of view and why I acted in such a manner at the time. I thought it was important to publicly state my opinion of the situation before it could be put to bed, and now I believe that can be done.

14 January is the day The Leftist Assembly was founded. I feel that this should be made a special regional holiday with a proper name - what about Assembly Day? It also coincides nicely with The Red Star publication, so maybe FB wants to do something special for it? I thought about this about a week ago, and I only just remembered today. I don't really have any ideas for anything special, so just respond if you DO have any!

Happy Assembly Day (or whatever we call it) for tomorrow!

I apologise if you felt I put all the blame on you. I admitted myself the fact that I was unaware of the new proposal was not your fault, it was mine and mine alone. However, my complaint was firstly that you didn't read the RMB messages on the subject first, and that you then cancelled the poll without informing me of the problem, and creating a new poll that hadn't been made public yet. That was were the overstep occurred, just ensure you contact me about such things in future, is all I was saying, and you should've done that to begin with. I accept and recognise that it was a mistake and not deliberate on your part, hence why I am taking no action beyond a warning for the future to be more careful.

Just to clear up my position on the question:)

I'll just add something to the WFE saying 'Happy Assembly Day' and we can have happy memory times.

Sounds good!

1st Anniversary! Boy, this region has changed a lot, and I'm very glad too have been a part of making this great region what she is! Happy Assembly Day!

Comrades! I have posted my National Population and Military RP details... Obviously I'm not using NS stats. When everybody else adds their's to the OOC thread, we can begin the IC thread...

We are going to hold a special edition regional poll for Assembly Day. If you're interested, suggest some questions on the region in its first glorious year!

Following that, Cedoria will begin the OEA referendum, which everything has now been resolved for. Then following that, Auven will be putting forward his proposal concerning making a new Constitution Article on elections, which will also have to go to a referendum. Then after that, there is nothing on the General Assembly agenda just yet!

Any questions for an Assembly Day poll? It is just an idea, I'm not too fussed if it doesn't go ahead, and it only will if I get a good suggestion soon!

Don't know if we've had a poll like this before, but maybe this one could be used to discover where everyone's from. The answers would probably have to be continents (e.g. North America, Europe, etc.) as there are too many countries to be practical. On the anniversary of this glorious region, getting to know one another better seems appropriate.

We could be more specific by doing major countries and continents. E. G. Australia, New Zealand, Other Oceania
