Here are the answers for your questions Comrade Dyl
What do you think makes you qualified as MGA?
I have been a part of this region since July and also I had another nation last year which was part of the same region. I am the current ambassador to TCB and I have taken part in key RMB discussions. I beleive I am capable and experienced enough to nominate myself for the MGA post. I have been part of the 2 GA by-elections that were conducted in September and October
Do you have any specific piece of legislation you want to pass during your term?
As of now I don't but I do plan on writing some bills as soon as possible.
Do you intend to run for Speaker?
No, This is my first GA election and I am somewhat familar about how the laws are passed and the workings of GA but I plan to experiencing it first before taking the next step which is the role of speaker
You have mentioned closing loopholes, which loopholes are there currently in the CoL and Constitution?
There might be some loopholes but I am not sure as of now but I will try to find out such loopholes and bring in legislation that fixes them. I will also try to find out loopholes which might be present in the upcoming bills that my fellow comrade's or me myself might bring if I am elected
How do you intend on supporting and encouraging cultural activites?
I would try my best to help our current Minister of Community Affairs Yong in bringing out new competitions and programs which not only the citizens of TLA but other embassy regions can participate in. Increased celebrations on Holidays under the Holiday Act

Please free to ask me any more questions

Dyl wrote:Questions for the GA Candidates

Well it's time to do this again, dropping a good amount of questions for the candidates.

  1. What do you think makes you qualified as MGA?

  2. Do you have any specific piece of legislation you want to pass during your term?

  3. Do you intend to run for Speaker?

  4. Is there something specific you would do to make sure that the GA dosen't become inactive?

  5. -Dyl

1. I do have prior experience as Alternate Justice in the Supreme Court, as well as previous experience as MGA for the 22nd General Assembly. It was a rather uneventful term, but still not as uneventful as the 21st, so there's that.
2.There hasn't been a Ghill day yet in the joke law bills. That might need to change.
3. I do intend to run as Speaker, and this time not even under duress!

4. Might need to try and ask a few of our fellow Assemblians if they wants some law bills be made, Joke or not, and helpin'em along the writing of the bill. Might as well add in a How to write a Law Bill guide in a dispatch or sumthin' if it doesn't already exist.

Once, I made a conspiracy theory uniting the main known ones with a friend: reptilians, flat earth, annunaki...
I don't remember it very well, but it was funny.

Ministry Of World Assembly Affairs - General Assembly Resolution Recommendation

Resolution At-Vote: Repeal: "World Assembly Headquarters"
Author: Kavagrad

Kavagrad wrote:The General Assembly,

Noting that GA#8 was passed by a slim margin many years ago,

Observing that many important global events have befallen the international community since that time,

Aware that many of the staff working inside the World Assembly Headquarters would be better off working from home in this day and age,

Cognizant of the carbon emissions resulting from the semi-regular travel of thousands of delegations to and from a single international headquarters,

Suggesting that decreasing the degree of travel necessary for WA diplomats to do their jobs may well aid in the fight against climate change,

Asserting that there are many other uses for the land on which the World Assembly Headquarters currently resides that would provide far more social good, such as, but not limited to:

  • Free social housing

  • Affordable social housing

  • Extortionate social housing

  • A shopping centre

  • Many pubs

  • The world’s largest brothel

  • Decorative rubble

Conceding that there may be some alternative uses that might provide a net negative to the international community, such as an office for a law firm,

Ignoring this on the grounds that lawyers will likely be dealt with when the revolution comes,

Hereby Repeals GA#8 “World Assembly Headquarters”.

The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote For this Resolution. The Resolution highlights the various issues that have arisen from the establishment of a central World Assembly Headquarters, such as the hectic and pollution-emitting transportation and arrangements that result from the semi-frequent travel to and from the WAHQ by Ambassadors, and points out that the elimination of the WAHQ and the practice of working from home can cut down on carbon emissions. Furthermore, the Resolution highlights what it perceives as more beneficial uses for the space that the WAHQ encompasses, such as social housing, an assortment of hubs, a brothel, or a shopping centre. These arguments do have merit; as such this Resolution enjoys our support.

I came up with the conspiracy a while ago that Russia is supporting right wing pundits and using online disinformation to promote climate change skepticism in the west in the hopes that an increased global average temperature will finally give Russia that sweet sweet warm-water port.

Also, the CIA killed Jimmy Hendrix. But that's not weird, its just true.

Derivellia wrote:The fall of the USSR is one of the greatest tragedies to strike the world in history

It is better to say overthrown of socialism and not fall. A system doesn't fall by its own someone made it happen some people made the decision and signed the papers dissolving USSR and going all of it's countries back to capitalism

Teacher. I thought my elementary teachers were cool and I wanted to be like them.
Then I got in High School, really liked history and wanted to be a history teacher.
Then I got in College and wanted to teach history in College.

Then I got in University and decided to settle for teaching history in College.

Statement of Resignation

Effective immediately, I am resigning as Minister of World Assembly Affairs. This course of action has been necessitated by an unfortunate controversy that has surrounded me recently pertaining to my positions in multiple regions. I maintain that I have done nothing wrong by holding such positions, but it appears that my resignation will be of benefit to The Leftist Assembly given the current situation.

I am pleased to have assisted TLA by helping establish and rejuvenate the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs, and I have no regrets in that regard. I wish Secretary Greylyn all the best in their continued tenure presiding over this region and extend my best wishes to my colleagues remaining within the Cabinet.

Peace out,

Assemblian Cesnica
Former Minister of World Assembly Affairs
