Busy for me, too. I spent two weeks in Alabama looking at a new job possibility. If the call comes through, we will likely make the move in February. After 20 years in the same place/same house, the thought of such a big life change is both exciting and frightening.

The Beech Beach House wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas. You are welcome to stop any time by and have a little Christmas cheer. (The fridge and wine cellar are all unlocked ... help yourselves.)

I understand that its frightening, but change can be good. A whole new range of possibilities will open up to you. I wish you the best of luck.

I hope you had a good christmas, and best wishes for the New Year.

I had a wonderful Christmas! All the children were home for the first time in years ... we even had a few extra as nieces and others came by to visit (and stay for a night or two). TAOboy and Mrs. TAOboy will be heading back home today :(

TAOgirl and Mr. TAOgirl dropped by two days in a row; the second day with with our dear four-legged 'grand-dogger' Sophie.

And today, friends from Iowa will be visiting. It is sad, though ... the ones visiting will be without my dear friend Doug has passed away this past summer. Still, the visit will be a very happy time.

So what about you, my friend? How have the holidays been to you?

Glad to hear that your Christmas was wonderful and full of joy!

Mine was unusual this year. I went on a trip around the world, and for the first time was in a different country for christmas, and without a single member of my family. It was still nice, but different. Especially as where I come from, Christmas day is usually very hot, at around 100F. This time I was in Canada, where it snowed a lot.

Prior to going to Canada, I spent two and a bit weeks in Ecuador, doing a volunteering program in the amazon. Amazing experience. Following that I travelled to California, went to LA, then went on to Las Vegas and out to see the Grand Canyon. Popped up to Toronto for Christmas and to see Niagara Falls. Then went to New York City for 9 days or so, which was nice. Went to Times Square for New Years eve and took in all the fun andfestivities. Just arrived in Vancouver, going to go out to Whistler for a week of skiing (also spending a week in Vancouver the city). Then a short stop over in Auckland, before returning home to Australia.

Still lurking around TAO? :)

You haven't been to visit us in TNP in a while. ;)

Sadly, that is true, McM. But Tao has recently moved to Alabama and started a new (2nd) career. The RL time requirement for this is immense and things look busy until April. I pop into the game only by staying up too late.

Tao the wanderer

The region Grand Union is a region to avoid at all costs. Its founder is a marsupial sympathizer who ejects and bans any new nation in the region without cause or justification. Wandering nations are not welcome in the heckhole of Grand Union. As a result of its ill-treatment to guests and visitors, the region Grand Union is now quarantined as a region very UNFRIENDLY TO WANDERERS AND NEW MEMBERS.

how are you finding Alabama TAO?

Chamber of randomness

Hello TAO.

Alabama is nice. I am having a little trouble adjusting to the new pollen types. For the first time in my life, I am experiencing allergies.

Chamber of randomness

Welcome to the South TAO.

Thank you, Randomness. :)

Mcmasterdonia ii

Sounds like fun :P

MMmmmmmmm I found some of TAO's famous rum cookies in the attic, just where I left them 4 years ago. Nothing like 4 year old fermented rum cookies and a fire to warm oneself up in an old arctic cabin.

Hello from Cashnatchee! I just wanted to stop and visit. I had a wonderful time when Nto-04 stopped for a visit.

I have been needing a vacation. After my retirement (from major NS playing), I have a hankering to travel the NS world.

Thanks for allowing me to visit. Now for a red-eye flight to my next destination.

Nothing better than a nice quiet beach.

Ain't that the truth!

And speaking of a beach ... Mrs. TAO and I will be traveling south a few hours to Destin, FL this weekend.

ATTENTION ALL TRAVELERS... the region Dominion of Mistress Wanda is a waste-hole of a region inhabited by a single leather-garbed whack-a-mole who once wrote in her WFE that "All nations are welcome." However, what she failed to say is this ... anyone not willing to worship her is banjected immediately. Just a visit to the region gets you banned. If you post on the RMB before you are banjected (whatever ... doesn't really matter), your post is suppressed. You then get a TG from the lonely heart saying "DELETE the spam you left on my RMB." Wait ... you banject anyone who enters your region whether or not they post ... and if they do post, you banject AND demand they return and delete their own post. If you return TG her, she claims you are "trolling" and she threatens to "contact the game moderators. Not sure if this is neo-gnatzi or not, but I do know this is one region to avoid like the plague ... unless you want a plague.

UPDATE: So, after the visit, she changes her WFE and adds a number of rules (if you are stupid enough to stay). For the record, there are a thousand plus GOOD regions in this game to visit and grease-spots like this region are the exception rather than the rule.

Keep your feet/wings/wheels/flippers moving and enjoy the road. Check back here occasionally for Traveler Updates.

She sounds quite idiotic :P

I am thinking of making a journey up to a town called Dampier in Western Australia where my Aunt lives. It's about a 16 hour drive but the beaches and scenery along the way will be worth it. I'll probably make the journey in mid January, right smack bang in the middle of a boiling hot summer :D

I saw a notice to stop by and visit from TAO's signature, so I'm stopping by and visiting.

Mcmasterdonia ii

Welcome Milograd II. The Beech Beach House is pleased to welcome you :)
