God Help the Girl is a musical project by Stuart Murdoch, leader of the Scottish indie group Belle and Sebastian, featuring a group of female vocalists, including Catherine Ireton, with Belle and Sebastian as the accompanying band. The project has released a self-titled album, an EP and several singles. Central to the project is a musical film, featuring songs from the project's recorded releases. The film was released in 2014. The music harkens back to the girl groups of the '60's.
'Tis Moi in more ways than one.
Id point out that your SP delegates club is a bit inaccurate. We have had plenty more elected delegates you didnt count like Trev and ABC. So you say you are the 6th, its probably closer to the 12th or 13th

I'm so sorry. I went back as far as I could. If you could help, we can add on to it.
First of all, I never knew they were Scottish -- always just assumed English. Second, I love the idea of a band bringing on a new group of fronting vocalists like that for a special project. Reminds me a bit of an album some years back now by Moby called "Wait for Me" that features a handful of different female vocalists singing over his chill, moody, bluesy, gospel-y tracks. Highly recommend (and I'm not a Moby fan, it's his only album I know).
I'll have to check out the film...How strong is the story that goes along with it?
...you take that back
But in all seriousness, I heartily recommend taking a gander at Christmas every now and then, they've got the true spirit alive and well over there.
Skål!
I was never into Moby, so I'll have to look for that album.
The plot of GHTG is a coming of age story of the lead character dealing with her inner demons over the period of a Summer. It was crowd sourced and featured at the Sundance Film Festival in 2014.

Regional Annoucement,
This year has been a great year on NS. At the beginning of the year, I was the Minister of Immigration for TEP. This year I can say went by fast. I achieved a lot this year, and so didn't our great region. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=455732
Let's take pride in our region, and win one of these awards for the South Pacific!! Read the post, and nominate us up lol. Just kidding, but really it's the annual 2018 NS year awards. So let's do our due diligence to win some prizes
fantastic...if I get nothing else from joining this region than an expansion of my awareness of Scottish rock music, I will consider it a success

My small contribution of Scottish music: Aidan Moffat, off of Everything's Getting Older. I love this album so much, I couldn't pick just one track from it...

I voted for this proposal because I feel now that after being the very first person to be condemned is something else. I believe this individual did their time and should have a second chance.
