FEUSSR: Heightened Investments into AU

SINGAPURA — The Ministry of Revenues has invited a consortium of companies and firms from the FEUSSR to invest and expand operations into the AU, as the FEUSSR aims to further integrate the economies of the countries, promote multilateral globalisation, and collectively enhance the economic stability and security of the entire AU.

This comes as part of a groundbreaking set of reforms which would vastly benefit the FEUSSR's fellow AU actors in the economic sphere. These reforms, titled the "Asian Three", include the following initiatives:

  • The issuance of $1,120,000,000 USP-denominated government bonds, exclusively bought through AU banks and firms only. These bonds will have a maturity of 6 years, with a yield of 3.4%.

  • The issuance of the FEUSSR's AU Support Loans, provided by the Industrial and Commercial Bank, which are exclusively for micro businesses, small-to-medium enterprises, the self-employed, and post-secondary students located within the AU. The loans range from $5,000 USP to $400,000 USP in value, and have a bracket of interest rates ranging from 1.3% to 2.5% depending on the borrower's financial status.

  • The eligibility of companies and/or contractors in fellow AU countries to receive limited amounts of public subsidies from the FEUSSR, contingent on the following requirements: they must have operations within the FEUSSR; they must not have engaged in prior criminal activity; and they must agree to follow the terms and conditions of said public subsidies regarding their FEUSSR-located operations for the full duration of receiving the subsidy.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Revenues has also given its blessing and endorsement to the foundation of the Far Eastern Consortium for Asian Union Friendship and Investment (FECAUFI), a consortium of companies that aim to follow the government's lead on providing "targeted investments into the Asian Union to bolster revolutionary and pan-Asianist spirit, enhance cooperation and friendship, and expand various companies' revenue streams". The consortium is comprised of Lotte Corporation, Samsung Engineering, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, LG Chem, the Far Eastern Oil Company, the State Construction Engineering Corporation, and the National Nuclear Corporation, with all 8 companies holding equal stakes of 12.5% within the consortium.

The consortium has announced its initial investments, with plans for nuclear power, biofuels production, and improving EV infrastructure. In the future, FECAUFI may expand to Infiny as well, to further bolster developmental ties there.

FECAUFI will invest around $1 billion USP towards the establishment and zoning of 3 plantations on Sipura island, Eulumia, all of which are dedicated to the commercial farming and harvesting of biofuels. The plantations will be mostly identical in configuration, each being 120 acres in size, and made to produce Jatropha and Camelina plants, both of which can be used as biofuels. The plantations are cumulatively estimated to produce 24,240 gallons of biofuel in 120 acres each harvest, yielding a cumulative of 8,726,400 gallons annually for all plantations. 500 local farmers will be employed to man the plantations, with an additional 200 hired to operate a $50 million USD integrated refinery complex that will permit on-site processing of plants into ready-to-use biofuel. To make up for the losses in carbon sequestration caused by the inevitable deforestation of the land, FECAUFI has pledged 15% of its profits from its biofuels plantations towards a local social security fund, as well as a pledge to afforestate 360 acres of rainforest elsewhere within 5 years.

FECAUFI will also spend over $50 million USP to install 255 EV charging stations across Duma, all of which support DC fast charging. The 255 EV chargers will primarily run along the G92 Ring Expressway and assist the country in supporting electric vehicles at a time where "green" transit is becoming increasingly important. Being 427 kilometers long, this means that there will be 1 EV fast charger for every 1.67 kilometers of road covered. FECAUFI's 255 chargers will debut in a year, and it has plans to construct more EV chargers in batches of 255 chargers at once, identifying areas such as the Duma-Vashnal border crossing and the G98 Island Ring Expressway as potential areas of interest.

Lastly, FECAUFI will invest $80 billion USD in an ambitious project to construct 5 Hualong One pressurised water reactors in Vashnal, all of which are based in Tha Chana District along the coast. Each reactor produces 1090 MW of electric power, and with a 60-year design life, it would be able to serve the country faithfully. The 5 reactors will also employ a combination of passive and active safety systems with a double containment to protect their local communities, with construction to begin in 5 months and to be finally complete in 5 years. 100,000 will be directly and indirectly employed during its 5 years of construction, and FECAUFI will also invest around $5 million USP towards retraining local power plant workers to operate the nuclear reactors.

Department of Energy: Human Fat Fuel Project

KUM-SOK CITY — The Department of Energy has publicly announced its "Human Fat Fuel" initiative, a "sustainable, renewable" move to promote the use of biofuels from waste products.

This experimental initiative is based on plans to widen the availability of biodiesel and biofuel, the largest sources of which come from vegetable oils such as rapeseed, palm, and soybean. Other major sources include animal fats, such as beef tallow, pork lard, and poultry fat, and just like their animal counterparts, human adipose can also be used to produce biodiesel as it also contains trigylicerides and can undergo transesterification to be turned into fuel. This was proven to be a workable model in 2007, when an eco-boat - powered by 2.5 gallons of adipose, which produced almost 2 gallons of fuel - powered 9 miles of the trip. In 2008, a cosmetic surgeon made use of liposuctioned fat to power his car. In both cases, 1 portion of human fat was more or less able to provide for 1 portion of fuel (1:1 ratio). Questions regarding human fat's viability has been voiced, but with the forces of the state, it is believed that the DoE will be able to mobilise enough resources to offset any potential shortfalls.

The DoE has commissioned a $200,000 USP feasibility study, planning on purchasing human adipose from local hospitals at rates of $50-60 USP per litre. There is roughly 0.9 kilograms of human fat per litre of volume, and with liposuctions removing an average of up to 5 litres of fat per person, this means that 100 litres of B5 biofuel blend can be generated with a single person - enough to power a vehicle for 1,400 miles. The DoE has set aside $10,000 USP to purchase 100 litres of human adipose tissue, with plans to convert it to 1,000 litres of various biofuel blends, including B5, B10, B15, and B20. Should the experiments be workable - which past experience has shown to be - the DoE will collaborate with the Department of Transit (DoT) to introduce the fuel mix into 500 road vehicles as a means to test for efficiency.

To whom it may concern,

The Badeurian President Frederick Jäger has ordered the creation of a protected region in the alpine territories of Badeuria. Part of the three-step program (Designation, introduction, protection) is to reintroduce species formerly present in the Badeurian alps.
One of the most magnificent species, the brown bear, was driven out of the region during the late 20th century. With your permission, the state of Bavaria would like to import brown bears under a repopulation program carefully managed by the department.

Investment in Southern Infinian agriculture - an Anglo-Infinian coordination effort.

The governments of the Imperial Federation and the United Kingdom of Orange-bourgogne have agreed on a large investment deal in the Tanganyikan states to the benefit of the people of both nations. The southern portion of the Imperial Federation is one with tremendous agricultural and mining potential, which remain largely underused. Companies in the United Kingdom will be incentivized to invest in the productivity of the region, with an expected amount of 2 billion to be privately invested. In addition, another 250 million Florines will come from the government of the United Kingdom, with the Infinian government investing another 1.5 billion to make the region more productive, especially in production of precious metals and agriculture.

As a return for the investment, the Imperial Federation and the United Kingdom have agreed that tarrifs on food and precious metals will be reduced to 0%. Furthermore, the governments have agreed that 28% of the British merchant fleet will be registered in Infiny, to facilitate trade between the peoples of our nations and to assure Anglo-Infinian prosperity.

Title: Tomsky Tour in Danubia

Budapest — Soviet Premier Tomsky has announced that he will be travelling to Donau-bundesreich for a tour of the country and to meet with Premier Stauffer. The goal of the meeting is to inspect how Soviet reconstruction efforts are going and what is most urgently needed by the Stauffer Government to continue working towards a better Danubia. Furthermore, the Kremlin recently announced the creation of a USD$100 billion reconstruction fund which shall focus on the the construction of new apartment buildings, schools, hospitals and roads. These efforts will focus on the areas most affected by the civil war (mostly in the western regions of the nation).

Additionally, if allowed by the Stauffer Government, Soviet companies will be green-lit by the Kremlin to invest in Danubia. Their focus will center in the construction and infrastructure sectors, services, manufacturing and shipping infrastructure along the coastal regions. Unlike the reconstruction aid, these projects can go anywhere in the country depending on where the Soviet companies believe there's a potential for investment. Ultimately, Soviet companies have been directed to also work with the Stauffer Government to make sure investments in certain regions of the country go first as priority.

Title: Update on the Investments to Reconstruct Donau-bundesreich

Budapest — The Soviet Foreign Ministry has given an update on the investments mobilized to Danubian territories as part of the efforts to reconstruct the country and inject much needed capital into that country's economy. The initial investment of USD$100 billion has been growing at an average rate of 6.5% over a period of 6 years. Currently, these investments are valued at USD$145.91 billion. The Ministry has stated that said investments will remain in Danubia and any returns will be reinvested into that nation's economy as well. The Soviet Government has pledged to increase investments to the European nation in the coming years.

Frrom the past treaty in regards to the Danubian Civil War, and the Hellenic Involvement in that conflict, the Hellenic League received IMK 830,000,000,000 ($100bn) in reparations from -greater canada- and the United States (Imperial Eagle)

Finding itself in such a unique position, the funding had been on hold until a decision could be made on what to do with it. As such, the Ministry of the Treasury and the Bank of Hellas have worked to make the Hellenic Investment Corporation (EEE).

It will be an independent organization that will utilize the funding for investments both domestically and internationally in a wide range of areas including stock exchanges, business investment, infrastructure, retail, and other categories as seen fit by the EEE.

Profits from Investments will be put back into the fund to grow, and some to be used to develop further projects that would be sponsored by the EEE to further grow revenue and to assist in the development of the Hellenic League in areas of education, health, economic equity, and more.

The EEE will be headed by a board of individuals from various economic sectors such as Energy, Retail, Infrastructure, Banking, Industrial Sectors and others. This diverse and independent board will help guide the investments as they are distributed.

It’s our hope to solidify the future of the Hellenic League financially and build off of the strong national infrastructure projects.

The EEE has made a deal with Lamda Development, Hellinikon S.A., and the Bureau of Infrastructure Development (BID) that relates to the Hellinikon Development.

With the project expected to be formally completed in less then three weeks, the EEE views Hellinikon as a strong investment for the future. With over 15k permanent jobs being added, new hotels and living space, casinos, beautiful outdoors spaces and more, Hellinikon offers much to Athens and the entirety of the Hellenic League.

The EEE has agreed to a 10% stake in Hellinikon, at a value of IMK 4,980,000,000 ($600mn) into Hellinikon S.A.

Part of the agreement entitles The EEE rights to negotiate with business entities within the park, and a portion of the revenue generated from Hellinikon. Additionally it gives the EEE rights to work with Lamda in the development of Hellinikon over the course of its lease, which is for the next 99 years, with an option for further expansion of investment.

Anticipated revenue per year for the EEE is IMK 1,660,000,000 ($200mn) based on its stake in Hellinikon S.A. and position with Lamda Development.

The EEE retains rights to negotiate individually with Hotels and other businesses within the park, creating opportunity to generate additional revenue.

The EEE is happy to negotiate such a favorable deal of ownership with Lamda and Hellinikon S.A. and are looking forward to a bright future for Hellinikon.

The Byzantium Canal since its completion has helped increase and streamline cargo flow into the Black Sea and back into the Mediterranean.

The Byzantium Canal, managed by Byzantium Canal S.A., a state owned company, will be moved into the EEE to ensure profitability and proper management.

This move gives the EEE an advantage in how to spread out its revenue and gives us a new avenue to pursue diversification.

Annually we can anticipate close to $12bn revenue from the canal. The Canal Authority will continue to operate and maintain the canal.

SOVIET-ROMANOVAN SUMMIT IN LENINGRAD

Prime Minister Daria Shchegolyayeva as well as Foreign Minister Viktor Volkov set off from the border town of Roshchino in Romanovskaya by car to attend the planned summit in Leningrad, Cccp-. They are accompanied by a small security detail, with a total fleet of three black government cars taking them to their destination. Photographers took their place at the border checkpoint to capture the moment a Romanovan Prime Minister steps foot on Soviet soil for the first time. The convoy is waved through by the Romanovan border guards as they advance to the Soviet side of the border.

Once past the Soviet border checks, the convoy then made the hour long drive to the city of Leningrad. The city was chosen as the meeting point for a couple of reasons. One being is relatively close proximity to Romanovskaya and secondly its historic significance as the capital city of the former Russian Empire and the residence of the former Imperial Families. Once they arrive at the destination, the delegation get out from their cars and make their way to meet the Soviet Premier and his delegation.

Suez Canal blocked by container ship

March 24th, Suez - It seems that a 220,000-tonne, 400 metre-long Ever Given has gotten stuck at the southern end of the Suez Canal, blocking the traffic in one of the most important canals in the world.

The ship has been jammed length-ways across the canal early Tuesday in Egypt, leaving at least 100 vessels gridlocked. This is a significant blow to world trade, as over 13% of all trade goes through the canal. Early reports speculated the vessel suffered a loss of power, but the ship’s operator, however several others have blamed a "suspected gust of wind". High winds and a sandstorm plagued the area Tuesday, with winds gusting as much as 50 kph.

Operations to rescue and float the giant container ship that lodged sideways and blocked the Suez Canal on Tuesday are underway, the Egyptian Suez Canal Authority (SCA) said in an official statement today, it says that it will deploy tug boats to help shift the large container ship, the Ever Given, which has run aground in the canal.

The SCA has stressed that the authority is exerting the utmost efforts to ensure the steady movement of ships through the canal in order to serve international trade. It has issued a statement saying that it will accept any aid from it's partners in hope to solve the situation quickly and efficiently to not have deep impacts on the world trade.

PDF: Comment on Suez Blockage

CAIRO — PDF officials have officially offered to assist with the Suez blockage, proposing a plan to relieve the vessel of its weight before moving the emptied ship away with tugboats and other means.

The PDF's plan is simple: it proposes the airlifting of the ship's 20,000 20-foot-long shipping containers through a fleet of heavy-lift helicopters, before transporting them to the Suez seaport where trucks and other vehicles can transport them to an alternative vessel. After all 20,000 containers are offloaded, the vessel is expected to lose (literal) tons of weight; after which refloating the craft will become much more easier. Should the vessel be unable to be refloated, the PDF also proposes the deconstruction of the vessel via explosive means to remove the blockage; after the evacuation of crew and various pieces of important equipment, the vessel can be struck apart with various munitions into two, with the two separated ends towed away for scrapping.

Recompense for the loss of the ship will be discussed later, but if such an extreme option were to be warranted, the PDF feels the Egyptians do have the option to void recompense commitments.

Upon the Egyptian request, the PDF is willing to deploy 4 of its Mi-26 heavy-lift helicopters to assist in the effort, but due to logistical constraints surrounding the nation's distance from the FEUSSR, such an option might be better left off to the ICC.

Title: Incident at the Suez Canal

Moscow — The Soviet Foreign Ministry extends our regards to the Egyptian Government in this hour of need. After having carefully analyzed the issue, it is evident that the incident that took place yesterday at the Suez Canal is concerning. If the Suez Canal continues to be blocked, it would not only affect an important source of revenue for the Egyptian Government it would also have damaging implications on international trade. If accepted, we would like to send aid to the Egyptian Suez Canal Authority (SCA) in order to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

We would like to dispatch 100 tugboats (Sorum-class) to the area of the incident. They will be tasked with helping to pull and dislodge the 220,000-tonne Ever Given from its current wedged position. Additionally, we would like to send 500 excavators to the site of the incident in order to help with dredging efforts. These excavators will arrive to the Suez Canal via air facilitated by our armed forces' cargo planes. Their destination will be the airport at Al Kibrit and thereafter will be transported with trucks to the site. We will also ship one (1) ЭШ 6,5/45 excavator* and will take a week to be fully operational at the site. This 280-ton excavator was constructed in 1979 to handle Siberian mining. We believe that in case the incident prolongs for longer than a week, this excavator's capacity will help us accelerate work at the canal.

Finally, the State Bank of the USSR (Gosbank - Государственный банк СССР) can provide an emergency line of credit to the Egyptian Suez Canal Authority (SCA) and the Government of Egypt if necessary to face any potential economic fallout from the interrupted source of revenue. The Kremlin will remain in close contact with Cairo and the Canal's headquarters at Ismailia in order to monitor the incident and make any new decisions as new data develops.

Office of the Archon

Archon Legeas is concerned by the blockage in the Suez Canal. The Suez Canal is by far one of the worlds most important trade routes and the Hellenic League, itself home to trade routes, understands the frustrations and difficulties that this blockage causes.

The Hellenic Navy & Air Force, in addition to the Hellenic Merchant Fleet, offer assistance. 500 engineers are ready, as well as the ability to offload excavation equipment if needed.

Additionally if the blockage needs to be removed via other means such as dismantling of the ship the Hellenic League can offer assistance in that as well.

The Hellenic League also can extend assistance to the Suez Can authorities if needed to help cover potential lost revenue through the Hellenic Central Bank and the EEE.

We remain committed with our allies in Egypt, as we stand together on the Mediterranean and as allies in facilitating the flow of the global trade networks.

Through an agreement made with the Hellenic League Government and Board of Hermes Aerospace Systems, HAS will be moved into the fold of the EEE.

The Hellenic League has a growing Defense Industry that is beginning to seek international partners, and revenue from Hermes can be used to benefit the future of The Hellenic League.

At present it reports $69,200,000,000 in revenue with assets worth over $198bn, making it one of the largest Aerospace corporations in the world.

This will not effect the operations of HAS, and will continue to operate as it has done so in the past.

The EEE continues to expand its portfolio since its establishment as we seek to diversity in numerous areas in the domestic and global market.

China Times

Evergreen Marine Corp., the Taipei-based shipping company that operates the ship, said the Ever Given was hit by strong winds as it entered the Suez Canal from the Red Sea, but none of its containers were damaged and the situation on board is calm "all the crew are safe" said the manager who manages the ship.
The company, after the statements released by the PDF (Far Eastern Union of Soviet Republics) where they propose to "dismantle" the ship on the spot, said that it is a complicated, slow and expensive operation and that consequences of the loss of one of the largest units in the fleet is unacceptable, however lightening the ship is the best idea at the moment to facilitate the work of tugboats at sea and excavators on land. The company also sent a commission of investigation to Suez to investigate the possible causes of this incident; at the moment the main reason is "lack of visibility" due to a sandstorm and strong gusts of wind that reached 40 kn (80 km / h) and it also seems that there has been a blackout to the on-board instrumentation.

It has issued a statement saying that it will accept any aid from it's partners in hope to solve the situation quickly and efficiently to not have deep impacts on the world trade.

The Union Navy, long experienced in dislodging ships of such size, wishes to offer the use of four of it's ocean-going tugs as they have been used to dislodge of similar size currently in service with the fleet. This vessels could arrive via the Straits of Gibraltar in one or two should recovery efforts take longer than expected. As a result, the Union request permission from both the Government of Labyrnna to pass through and the nations of the ICC to allow the Union Navy to send these powerful tugs to render aid to the Egyptian Government.

As part of the investment into the companies future, we have begun looking to Europe as the path for expansion and opportunities in a new market.

As part of this expansion, we are announcing we are working with avtoVAZ to construct a jointly ran Auto manufacturing plant in Leningrad, Cccp-.

This new plant, named Ηλεκτρικό Αυτοκίνητο/Электрический Автомобиль (Electric Auto) will employ 2,500 people once operating with production of over 200,000 units annually.

Additionally, Lordstown & avtoVATZ will be producing a new compact sedan called the Εργαζόμενοι Αυτόματο/Рабочие Авто (Workers Auto)

This new Workers Auto (EA series) is a compact hybrid sedan capable of achieving 51mpg city/53mpg Highway

Starting at IMK 74,700 ($9k) the base model gets the user infotainment options with Bluetooth capable hands free calling, rear camera, and we are making a heated seat & steering wheel part of the base model as well, coupled with a 176 hp engine.

At most, this model will be $14k with all the futures including an infotainment center capable of Bluetooth connectivity to the smartphone, with full integration via USB enabling any smart phone to communicate with the vehicle through a 9 inch touchscreen. Additionally the unlimited model will feature all wheel drive capability to help the driver handle multiple conditions. Lane warning signals and multiple point airbags will ensure this is a safe vehicle. The unlimited model futures a 208 hp engine.

All models future a roomy backseat to make this a family friendly or ride sharing friendly vehicle.

This new joint venture is part of Lordstown & avtoVATZ commitment to developing cheap, but meaningful solutions for the working class. Often times the average person is saddled with lower performing vehicles resulting in higher carbon emissions, and spending more at the pump every week.

We aim to fix this problem and the EA Limited, EA LS, and the EA Unlimited are the beginning to a bright future for cheaper hybrids, enabling our companies to focus on developing truly cost effective full EV solutions.

Lordstown will be transferring over its online order capabilities to keep costs low for the customer, offering direct customer purchasing with many avenues of finance options available to help suit the needs of any customer, regardless of their financial position. We want to keep monthly payments low to get more money back into the pockets of our customers.

Lordstown will also be investing an additional $1.5mn into the Moscow, Leningrad, and many high population centers across the USSR to develop and train technicians to work on these vehicles and ensure a steady supply of parts whenever the need rises.

In total, this venture will take approximately 2 years (104 RL Days) to complete the construction and hiring of staff to fill all the positions, at a cost of $300mn. This venture is a 50/50 split ensuring both companies have equal share in the expected high performance of the EA Series and future models.

Within the next two years additional announcements will be made regarding Electric Auto with a plant being eyed to open in Hellas to better service the Southern European market.
