What is the Bank of NationStates?

Glad you asked! The Bank of NationStates (Bank of NS or BNS for short) is a collective of players dedicated to making it easy for collectors and traders, casual and non-casual alike, to participate in the NS card market. It does this in a variety of ways, which you can read about below.

If you're a "collective" of players, why is there only one nation in your region?

Our region only contains one nation because we want to keep the focus of that region solely on BNS, and not as a social or roleplay location. We primarily communicate through telegram and a soon-to-be developed Discord server.

Can I join your region?

So what specifically does BNS do?

Glad you asked! Let's take a look:

- Loans: Out of bank? Or maybe just want some more to get into buying and selling cards? We've got your back. BNS will buy cards from you for approximately ten times their market value (the card functions as a sort of down payment). However, we expect the loan to be paid back in full. Different member classes will have different limits on loan size.

- Storage: Want to make a little extra bank on your card collection? We'll store your cards for you. In addition, we'll grow the total value of what you have stored with us over time. Only 10% of your total storage value may be withdrawn on any given month. See this factbook for more details: page=dispatch/id=1448325

- Investment: Want to help us along, and make some profit while you do? For every .05 bank worth of cards that you buy off of us in our weekly Investment Sales, you will recieve .01 bank bi-monthly. See the following factbook for more details: page=dispatch/id=1448349

- Advertisement: Need some help advertising cards you want to sell or buy? We can help! TG us the details and we'll make sure you end up as part of our weekly factbooks. We only advertise for card trading! No other advertisement will be permitted or considered.

Are you interested in helping out the Bank of NationStates? If so, first, thank you very much. This is a project we've been working at and it means a lot that you've even considered working with us. Second, look at all the options below and let us know if one feels right for you!:

- Negotiator: Have a lot of people skills? Maybe you really like making profitable deals? If so, negotiator is a perfect job for you. Negotiators spend their time negotiating important sales, buys, and deals. When we need to buy or sell a high-value card or make a profitable trade, it is imperative that our negotiators come through. If you are reliably skilled at persuasion and negotiation, contact us to apply.

- Market Advisor: Have a strong knowledge and understanding of the NS card market? Have a tendency to know what will buy or sell well? If so, you may be a strong market advisor. Market advisors are here to know what to look for and when to look for it. A card that is suddenly picking up in value? A card that we need to sell before it drops? Market advisors are a necessity in this situation, and we can always use more.

- Buyer: Where negotiators make the high-value, negotiated deals through telegrams, buyers make up the core of BNS. Buyers are given a specific amount of bank (typically through a card they are required to sell) and tasked with making smart decisions to buy cards with that amount. Where negotiators work ultimately with the approval of BNS and market advisors advise actions of BNS, buyers often work very independently, making in-the-moment decisions without approval or supervision by BNS. Therefore, responsibility and skill is a must with this position. Buyers will start out with small budgets, and may be given larger budgets when they prove their abilities.

- Policy Advisor: Have a big-picture mentality and an eye for grand strategy? You may be a good policy advisor. Policy advisors advise BNS on grand financial strategy and on long-term investments. Often, the success or failure of BNS is in the hands of policy advisors and their insights. If you believe you can help guide BNS to success, please apply.

- Network Agent: Have a lot of connections? Know a lot of people who may be interested in BNS? You may be a candidate for a network agent. Network agents are responsible for the flow of information from BNS, carrying it to the various regions and users of NS. BNS's success is built on the flow of information to potential customers and investors, so having influential and socially active agents is extremely important.
