Today's Question of the Day

What is some of the greatest and most iconic science fiction music?

Sing 2 Soundtrack. I don’t know if that counts because in the movie, they have a big sci-fi play.

Hey guys! I'm Kuramia! :D I'm doing an AMA in about 7 mins, and thought I'd hop in a bit early to get you hyped. Or something. How's everyone's weekend?

It just got 1033x cooler

And it's TIME! Ask me anything you want. You have my attention for 2, yes, 2 whole hours! Ask away.

What do you like most about the Navy/being Grand Admiral?

Sincluda wrote:What do you like most about the Navy/being Grand Admiral?

Learning about the Navy! The last time I was inside it there was no one active in Command. Now I have all these people I can just ask questions to. It's great! Even during an op, I can type a question and get an answer. And there's so much to do on any given minor or major...and outside them. ;)

What was your proudest moment in Europeia?

Hi Kura! Thanks for doing this AMA!

What is one piece of advice you would give to new to NationStates players?

Pichtonia wrote:What was your proudest moment in Europeia?

Having you as a friend! *blows kiss*

Anytime I get mentioned for something, I'm blown away. So I don't think it's a moment, but the whole entirety of it. I'm just proud to be a part of something big and knowing people think I put so much into it! If you do the work in Euro, people notice and say thanks, and that's just so much nicer than most of what the real world gives me. :P

Get to know people! Everyone in Euro is friendly (and if they're not they don't last long lol) so if you talk to someone they're bound to talk to you. Even if it's just about your nation.

I've seen all the people constantly talking on the RMB, and I always love it. It's especially fun to join in on Z day.

Have you learned anything from NS that had helped you IRL?

Not to fret wrote:Have you learned anything from NS that had helped you IRL?

Yes! I used to be really poor at emotionally connecting with other people. But it's part of politicking. And I want to win stuff....I like being competitive, so it drove me to learn to talk to people and connect with them. :P It's not all about me; there's another person too. That and I learned how to work on timelines and such, which helps with my job now where you have to get things done by a certain deadline. Not getting it done, means you aren't competitive. So I've taken a lot of skills from NS and been able to apply them to real life...and even talk about them in interviews for promotions!

When did you join NationStates? What brought you to Europeia and the forums?

Writinglegend wrote:When did you join NationStates? What brought you to Europeia and the forums?

I joined NS cause I was looking for the next free browser game to play. I'd left several because of toxic people, toxic groups, toxic leaders, etc. So when I joined here, I just kinda chilled and read GP forums and WA stuff. I answered questions for about 3 years on and off. Then one day I came back and wanted to really get into it.

I got one of those infamous telegrams from our wonderful recruiters and bam! I joined Euro and went to the forums to get started. You guys sucked me right in and kept me close. Happy to report no toxicity here. :P

What are you lost excited for this term?

Not to fret wrote:What are you lost excited for this term?

I've actually found my excitement. Oh, wait--

I'm most excited for looking back on my term and going, 'that was good; good job, Kura.' That's...actually all I want. XD

Not to fret and Sincluda

EP is ready for war with anyone who stands in the way of freedom
