A Spreading Movement Pt. 3
Malmo, December 2017
Previous Part

Holm took a drink and starting speaking again:

"The reason why Europe is not suffering the same fate as Africa is that us Europeans are not trying to follow other people's cultures and are following our own culture."

"However, there are threats to our very culture. The first threat to Europe is the influx of Muslim refugees. Even though most Muslim refugees arent intentionally trying to cause ruin to Europe, there are still many extremists coming here as refugees that seek to destroy us and our culture. Even the majority who just come as refugees cause problems as the races trying to mix cultures only leads to suffering."

"The even greater threat to the people of Europe is the Russian Empire. The Russian culture is neither an European nor an Asian culture, but rather it is an Eurasian culture that is an abominable combination of the two."

"Instead of following the American model and naturally making a culture to be a melting pot of other cultures, they tried to force the cultures to combine and the resulting culture is a disgrace. The Russian Empire is nothing more than a corrupt, morally bankrupt nation focused on spreading their destructive culture to others!"

Gustav had been getting louder and more intense as his speech went on. By now he was shouting and was in an intense rage. He started shouting:

"The effects of what will happen to Europe if we don't unite to defend against those who will destroy us are clear! Look at what happened when Sweden and other countries welcomed Muslims in with warm arms! They raped and killed the innocent!"

"See what Russia has done to the people of Europe! They stole Crimea and the west of Ukraine! They tried to isolate the Baltics from the rest of Europe! They arrested 4 innocent teens because they dared speak out against the government!"

"We must defend Europe from foreign threats! Protect Europe from the Muslim Invasion! Stop the Eurasian Hordes! Our Land, Our People, Our Culture!"

Gustav Holm kept repeating these phrases until the entire crowd was repeating them and then left the podium. As Isak Ottosson repeated the phrases in a zealous fervor he felt that he had found the people that he belonged to.

CZECHOSLOVAK ARMED FORCES PLAN MAJOR OVERHAUL TO ELIMINATE WASTE AND STREAMLINE COMBAT UNITS, REQUESTS RUSSIAN ASSISTANCE

DECEMBER 2017

The vast majority of the Czechoslovak Armed Forces consists of outdated Equipment in large quantities, the most infamous example being the 1,800 strong T-55 fleet that the Nation operates. Czechoslovakia has attempted local modernisation, one example being the T-72M4CZ. It has however found it extremely expensive to conduct these limited modernisations when it has otherwise very little capacity for domestic military production of such Vehicles. Thus the Nation has took to conducting a large scale Military Modernisation Program that depends entirely upon the approval of the Russian Empire, which would become responsible for conducting the Upgrades and Replacements. Once such Modernisations are completed the number of Personnel within the Armed Forces would not be reduced, however it has been announced that Czechoslovakia shall abolish its Conscription Policy which the Defence Ministry promises would save up to 100 Million USD per annum and thus make long-term affordability possible.

Where new Equipment is required, Czechoslovakia is determined to acquire the best possible replacements in order to prolongue the service of those newly acquired Vehicles and as a result of their modern nature decrease the overall amount of required Equipment. As an example of this desired change from Quantity to Quality, the Czechoslovak State wishes to replace its 1,800 strong T-55A force with 420 T-90MS models.

Czechoslovakia has requested that where possible it pay with Goods rather than Funds, and has offered to produce the Tatrapan 6x6 & Aero L-159 Alca for Russia, or at the very least provide the licenses for those Vehicles in exchange for a reduced payment. Ministry of Finance officials have noted however that if such is not possible it may instead seek a longer repayment period so that the State can foot the bill. It is understood that the modernisation campaign would take until 2022 at the earliest, as many of the Vehicles requested are relatively new within Russia itself and as such the Russian Military may opt to prioritize itself before exporting such goods.

JOINT RESPONSE FROM THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE, MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, AND THE OFFICE OF THE PRIME MINISTER

The Union-State of the Empire of Alzarikstan has fully received the request from the government of Ranponian and hereby come to the verdict to accept said agreement to fully modernize the armed forces of Czechoslovakia in addition to accepting payments with goods in addition to the providing of the licenses for the Tatrapan 6x6 and the Aero L-159. We have found such proposal to be acceptable for the rekindling of strategic friendship, understanding, and cooperation for a more prosperous and stable Europe. God Bless Russia. God Bless Czechoslovakia.

Foreign Minister Vladimír Medvedík : While we are of course very closely aligned with Russia in many areas, which naturally cannot be avoided given our history and in some way our similarities, the President wishes for Czechoslovakia to remain wholly seperate from either a 'Western' or 'Eastern' Military Alliance and thus remain neutral on the greater European stage. Of course we do not dodge the fact that we are indeed influenced by Russia diplomatically, however it must be remembered that it is our largest trading partner both in Civilian and Military terms. The key difference is that unlike previously we are not required to give full support at all times, and now have the ability to abstain from supporting or commenting on certain events.

THE FIRST WAVE
100 Miles South of Algiers
__________________________________

Two MiG-29 Fighter jets boomed across the sky. They were part of the training exercise that the Ministry of Defence had implemented as the crisis in Syria was heating up. Things were about to heat up in Algeria as well. A homegrown group of Algerians, angry with the westernization and perceived Irainian control over their country, had turned to a group that could give them what they want, Al Talub. This group of radicals had been planning for months for a large attack on the Algerian capital and current government. The time had finally come for their plan to be put in motion.

Command: "Fulcrum 1 and 2 continue heading for 20 miles and then return to base over"

The pilots looked at each other through their glass canopies, signaling to each other. Instead of listening to air command, they turned north and increased their speed, on a heading straight for the capital.

Command: "Fulcrum 1 and 2, you are heading in the wrong direction, please respond over."

The young watch officer started to sweat at his desk at Djefla Air Base. He had two birds in the air not responding, but they were still reading on the radar screen, heading north instead of back to base as ordered. He turned in his chair and called for his commanding officer.

Sous-lieutenant:"Sir, I've got two MiG-29s in the air not responding and are on course for Algiers. I've tried to hail them continuously but I've received no response."

The air captain walked from another screen over to his junior officer and checked for himself.

Capitaine Samid: "Ok this is strange. I'll forward this up the chain of command and we'll launch two more planes to make sure the men are injured or unconscious. Or something else."

Algiers

The men sitting in an unmarked van were parked down the street from the Algerian National Televison Headquarters. Out of the three groups of attackers situated throughout the city, their job would be the most difficult. The eight men would, armed with semi automatic rifles, small arms, and explosives, would have to storm the station and keep it on the air to broadcast their message. Then take the hostages and use them as cover to flee. At least they wouldn't have to storm the Presidential Palace. The linchpin in their plan would be the sonic bomb of the fighters before they slammed into the Presidential Palace. Then they would storm their target. In other locations, suicide bombers would detonate their bombs to cause even more confusion and carnage. The Government would pay and the true Algeria would be restored.
    _______________________________________________

At 12:30 two Algerian fighter jets crossed the sky over the southern suburbs of the capital. Gaining speed, the air traffic controllers at Houari Boumediene Airport didn't know what to do as the jets entered their airspace and crossed dangerously close to a passenger jetliner. The planes started their final descent and smashed into the home and office of Algeria's President. A huge fireball engulfed the entire complex as smoke and debris shot into the sky. A tremendous boom could be heard throughout the city, followed by smaller explsions.

THE SGRI PARLIAMENT PASSES MAJOR TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIVE INITIATIVE; TSAR PUTIN DECLARES "FRIENDLY COMPETITION WITH CHINESE FRIEND AND BROTHER TO THE SOUTHEAST

Spokeswoman of the SGRI Parliament Valentina Matviyenko announced from the SGRI Council of the Imperial Chamber that the Union-State will be moving forward in a massive long-term integration initiative in a wholistic push toward the development of technological advancements and innovation. Valentina Matviyenko explained in her speech that there is no real reason why the SGRI should lag behind the likes of Western Europe and Pro-Western European countries as the SGRI possesses the natural resources and institutional capabilities to expand its horizons toward global superpower status. To place more emphasis on development, Valentina Matviyenko coined that the SGRI is still a developing country and will need to take priority of its internal development and re-orientation if it is to be able to sustain its growing position in world affairs.

Over the next five years (2018-2023), the SGRI aims to acquire sustained GDP growth rate between 4-6% in pursuit of the declared long-term goal of doubling the country’s GDP and household income. This announcement also reflects a move towards domestic consumption, innovation and entrepreneurship in seeking to achieve a more balanced and sustainable economic development. The initiatives agreed to in the new domestic agenda embarks on highlighting a series of industries and social ailments.

HEALTHCARE: Aims to establish an integrated health and aged care system. This will be established through a range of measures, including health care system reforms and encouraging private investment in the health and aged care industry. Key focuses have been placed on medical and health system reform and food and medicine safety. Some of the initiatives include:

Increase the number of qualified doctors and medical assistants to 3 per 1,000 persons (333 out of every 1,000 people)
Increase the number of general practice doctors to 2 per 5,500 persons (2,750 out of every 5,500 people)
Train 200,000 resident doctors to adequate standards
Establish 1-2 public hospitals in each county in accordance to each member-state capacity
Increase the proportion of urban and rural citizens with health insurance to ~95%
Reduce premature mortality from critical chronic diseases

The healthcare component promotes the concept of smart health care, which will cover a wide range of initiatives, including internet-based health information platforms and electronic health records. As a result, SGRI's demand for various types of technology and innovation in the health sector is set to increase. The SGRI expects to see increased supply and distribution activity in the pharmaceutical sector in response to plan specifically encouraging companies to further strengthen their distribution channels and research and development capabilities. The SGRI also anticipates the introduction of new pharmaceutical products and medical equipment to the market. The Plan also encourages the development of commercial health insurance institutions – opening up further opportunities for the health insurance industry. The opening up of the aged care market is likely to result in a significant growth in public-private partnerships focussed on aged care facilities.

FINANCES: The SGRI looks to further opening-up of the SGRI’s financial markets to foreign issuers and investors by promoting hybrid instruments, high-yield bonds, derivatives and other innovative financial instruments via improving market access for financial services and encouraging more private sector investment by reducing the size, activities, and authority of state-owned enterprises. The SGRI is now looking to enhance the macro prudential regulatory framework and consumer financial protection and further regulating the development of internet-based finance, including peer-to-peer lending. The SGRI emphasizes the need for financial services to support, among other things, innovation and Internet development to also support transition toward a more balanced economy where services and consumption play a greater role in driving growth. Effective implementation of the initiative is likely to make it easier for overseas financial institutions to set up or expand operations in the SGRI, obtain local or cross-border financing for those operations, and offer a broader range of products and services to a wider array of local and international clients. Harnessing their experience in more mature financial markets, we expect to see some overseas financial institutions establishing in the SGRI’s growing internet finance, green finance, financial technology, derivatives, hybrids and structured products markets. In addition, overseas companies may find that an increasing number of financial services providers “at home” are willing and able to follow them to the SGRI, providing them with integrated products and services from a cross-border platform. As the SGRI’s financial system and broader economy continues to open up to foreign investors and issuers, there will be greater demand for the financial products, services and market know-how offered by Russian financial institutions. These institutions also have an opportunity to take the lead in green finance, financial technology and other areas of financial innovation that receive strong government support.

AGRICULTURE: The initiative favors restructuring SGRI’s agriculture sector, introducing improved technology innovation and effective agricultural socialization service systems. The SGRI will now speed up designation of permanent basic farmland while encouraging large scale development of farmland capable of producing stable yields which are able to withstand drought or flood conditions. The initiative looks toward improving quality of farmland and protecting and improving productivity of major grain producing zones. The foundation of this part of the agenda is promoting restructuring and modernization of the agriculture sector by supporting leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization. The SGRI has agreed toward promoting cooperation between agriculture and business industry, advancing the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries and implementing modern, digital agriculture by adopting suitable technologies while embarking on a path to modern agriculture that improves yields, safety, and conservation, and minimizes environmental impact. The SGRI seeks to ensure sustainable development of safe agricultural products including reduction of the use of pesticides and fertilizers and the introduction of measures for water and food control and safety management from farm to table whilst expanding modernized practices of drip irrigation. Other than the increased production of agriculture, the SGRI's main focus is exploring additional sources of rural income and increasing income of farmers by promoting cost saving measures to improve efficiency; encouraging relocation of rural labour forces; increasing policy support to strengthen agriculture, benefit farmers and enrich rural areas. This initiative emphasizes international agricultural cooperation, which suggests increasing opportunities for strong domestic market participants to strengthen their position by increasing exports and importing in demand products (eg dairy, beef and other proteins).

INFRASTRUCTURE: The SGRI has begun to take heavy priority and emphasis on upgrading existing infrastructure: railways will be constructed that traverse the SGRI east to west, and south to north, and improve access to Caspian Sea, Black Sea, Pacific Ocean, Baltic Sea, and by extension the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic. The national highway network will be upgraded, with a particular focus on regional highways and the connectivity of regional airports; within cities, parking facilities and public transport capacity will also be improved. The Plan proposes the development of low carbon transportation, stronger infrastructure energy standards, and the use of modern, green technologies to upgrade China’s transportation systems to be more energy efficient. The Plan also focuses on the setting up of uniform national pilot zones for ecological progress, as well as creating a catalogue of main farming areas and key eco-friendly functional zones. As part of the infrastructure initiative, the SGRI looks to achieve:

Construct 3,000 kilometers (1,864 miles) of new urban rail lines
Expand the high-speed rail network from to 15,000 kilometres (9,320 miles)
Build or upgrade 25,000 kilometers (15,534 miles) of rural roads
Construct and operate 35,000 kilometers (21,747 miles) of new expressways
Build over 40 new civilian airports and upgrade current airports toward becoming international hubs of transportation
Construct 152,000 kilometres (94,448 miles) of cement or bitumen roads in rural villages primarily in Central Asia and Novorossiya to further connect to Caucasus, Belarus, and Russia
Investing $357 billion in railway construction
    15 water conservation projects

With sustainable development and green infrastructure highlighted as one of the Plan’s key goals, local entrepreneurs with green technologies, products and services, as well as businesses with experience in the non-fossil fuel area will find opportunities in the design, production and operation of sustainable infrastructure. In addition, as the government plans to transform local financing platforms, there may be opportunities for local businesses with expertise in raising funds. As is the case for international businesses, we also expect to see growth in the number and scale of public-private partnerships at the local level.

| IRAN OFFERS AID THROUGH MECO |

| The situation in Syria has taught Iran a lot. A quick response is a must, no hesitation. It has now became apparent that the Iranian government will do all it has to to maintain the stability and integrity of MECO, an organisation that is helping the people of the Middle East. As the 4th Naval Fleet that left the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea has finally arrived in the international waters of the sea, it has become clear that Iran will defend both Syria and Algeria from threats from this side of the world as well. The fleet is composed of x2 Forbin Destroyers , x3 IRIN Alvand (F-71), x1 RFA Argus, x2 Persian Gulf Destroyers. The ships made their way and are currently not far from the Syrian coast, where their operations are to be main. The arrival of the fleet, means that Iran will now have larger ability to aid its MECO allies.

In the meantime, the situation in Algeria has motivated the Iranian government to further create a base in Algeria, which will hopefully be joined by its Sudanese and Syrian counterparts in the near future. Iran has sent x20 Iranian Multi-role Fighter Jet (Monarch) , x15 Dassault Mirage 4000s , x10 Boeing AH-64 Apache and x50 Iranian Drones, unspecified to the public for security purposes as of now. The Iranian military has also decided to begin sending Iranian Secular Brigades. The Secular Brigades are a highly trained anti-terrorist, anti-religious group ready to fight for the Shah in fanatic way. The Secular Brigades will arrive by 500 each month that by April, 2,000 are present at the base. The Iranian government has also invited the Sudanese and Moroccan government to send in support in order to establish a co-MECO base in Algeria. |

Greece Passes Location Computation Law

Greece has just passed the Location Computation Law. This law, in short, can be summarized to be "If a person is using a website that is based on a server in Greece, then, that person is legally 'in' Greece and subject to only the laws of Greece and the EU itself". This law was introduced, when some people expressed concern that they may be taxed more than once for the same product. This new law also mentions that a foreign nation may not request for personal or user identifiable information from Greek servers. This new law is expected to attract many companies that host internet services and websites. Most people are neutral about this law, as no one really knows how the law may affect them. Some people have asked how this law may apply to companies that use VPNs that could set their IP addresses to Greek addresses.

Greece Assembles 1st Mediterranean Fleet

Greece has reorganized its Navy recently and as a result, it had enough ships to establish the 1st Mediterranean Fleet, a Greek Fleet set up for anti-piracy and standard patrol operations. This fleet shall operate in cooperation with the main EU forces. This fleet is rumored to also include the old Greek battleship that is currently serving as a museum ship. That rumor was confirmed by the Greek government who stated that after the battleship undergoes modernization and a refit for modern times, it will serve as a command ship for the fleet. This fleet will soon be deployed. As of current times, the fleet is being relocated to Crete, where its port-of-call is being assigned.
