    The Sultan's Visit

DAVID BEN-GURION INTERNATIONAL, Israelli — MORNING

| The Arrival of the Omani Sultan, Almoshtari Habanamru Abdulrahman V, as he made his way down the airstair, from afar, he could see a sweep of citizens waving Israeli & Omani flags from behind a police line, next to the stand of the media press core. The flags of the two nations would be flying side by side, inter-jointly on the row of flag poles next to the main airport terminal — as a motorcade of imported luxury vehicles waited on the tarmac. Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, in a dark blue suit, and one of Israel's leading figures, who fought both in the independence war and oversaw Israel's victory in the '67 Six Day War, and required neutrality during the '95 Suez War, awaited the Sultan at the foot of the airstair. Despite his military record, he is the Labor party's leading figure for peace. The Prime Minister extends his hand to the empress, with a smile, speaking with a slight hint of a Russian-Ukrainian Hebrew accent. |

      | TIMES EXCLUSIVE: HRH PRINCE CHARLES AND HRH PRINCESS DIANA DIVORCE |

      | After more than three years of being separated, and after countless struggles between Diana, Princess of Wales and the Prince of Wales, Princess Diana has announced that she and her husband will divorce. Their marriage began back in 1981 and was one of the highlights of the Royal Family in the 20th century. The service, held at St. Paul's Cathedral, was widely described as a "fairytale wedding" and was watched by a global television audience of 750 million people while 600,000 spectators lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the couple en route to the ceremony. After their marriage, Diana became the third highest woman in the Order of Precedence (after the Queen and the Queen Mother). Diana gave birth to two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, through her marriage. Around five years into the marriage, their age difference of 13 years became apparent and damaging. Prince Charles resumed his relationship with his former girlfriend, Camilla Parker Bowles, whom he'd stop seeing in order to marry Diana. It was also reported then that Diana began a relationship with Major James Hewitt, leading some to believe that he was actually the father of Prince Harry due to their physical similarities.

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh reportedly tried time and time again to get Charles and Diana to resolve their marital issues and focus on raising their two kids. However, this did little to affect the situation as Charles continued to see Camilla on the side and Diana continued to see Hewitt. They separated in 1992. Since then, Diana has remained in the spotlight, despite not being with her husband anymore, as she remains one of the most popular figures in the British Royal Family. Last December, it was announced by Buckingham Palace that Her Majesty the Queen had sent personal letters to Charles and Diana, asking them to divorce. The Queen's move was backed by the Prime Minister and by senior Privy Counsellors, and, according to the BBC, was decided after two weeks of talks. Charles formally agreed to the divorce in a written statement soon after.

Today, Diana announced to the world that after negotiations with the Prince and representatives of the Queen, she would grant him the divorce. They have not yet finalized the terms of the divorce, but Diana is expected to get a significant settlement. The finalization of the divorce could come as early as the end of summer.

Diana has been dedicated to public service since her marriage to the Prince of Wales. She's been to hundreds of public engagements and has done notable charity work, raising millions of pounds for animal protection, fighting the AIDS crisis, and for healthcare charities and international aid organizations. Diana remains popular despite the announcement of their divorce.

The Queen's feelings on the matter have not been revealed to the public, though sources close to the Palace say that the Queen is sympathetic to Diana and is upset with her son's poor handling of the marriage and the stress he will be putting Princes William and Harry through. |

Terravia wrote:[Queiros calls a woman over in Portuguese - his first language, unlike many of his countrymen - and speaks to her for a moment before she bows her head and leaves the room. A moment later she returns with two glasses of iced water, placing them on the table before the two leaders.]

President Luciano Queiros: "I hope so too. Over the years I myself have become more accepting of the Pan-African cause, even more so after the Great Crash. I was born to a poor farming family in Benguela, around 300 miles south of here. It is people with backgrounds like mine who have been hurt the most by the Great Crash. Many live on subsistence farming, but those with surplus have been hurt by falling prices in produce. The oil barons have not been hurt so much, able to send their oil overseas - but I consider my government one that represents all the peoples of Terravia."

[He sips his water, then sets the glass gently back down on the table.]

President Luciano Queiros: "There will be opposition to Terravia joining the CCA, of that I have no doubt. But what we can do together is present the CCA transparently and thoroughly to the people, and hopefully lessen that opposition. We may have to have a referendum on it to confirm it is what the people desire. I don't want to act in a way that is unpopular - the ethnic Terravi in particular, the majority for whom the nation is named, have a tendency to riot."

First Citizen Barre: "I understand that, and I completely agree with displaying the CCA as it is- a means for all of us to formulate common economic programs and initiatives which will help formulate a joint response to the economic conditions we all face."

Walking rather peacefully and gracefully with his fingers interlocked in front of him, Sultan Almoshtari Habanamru Abdulrahman V appeared stern yet compromising as he knew that his state visit to Israel would be of grave importance. Sultan Almoshtari Habanamru Abdulrahman V would flash a small smile before shaking the hand of the Israeli Prime Minister. Sultan Almoshtari Habanamru Abdulrahman V would answer in a thick Arab accented English, which would have a blend of the Queen's English as the Abdulrahman Dynasty is Western educated via Great Britain.

Sultan Almoshtari Habanamru Abdulrahman V: "Mr. Prime Minister, I thank you for the warm invitation. I am sure there is much to discuss. Although Oman is not a major Arab country nor a mighty one at that, I am thankful that our advice and suggestions have been chosen for this meeting."

Zanbala prz wrote: President Mobutu: Well I understand the need for reconciliation, but I have trouble on figuring out what you Mr Bizimunga to reconcile about? Are you implying that Zaire aided the Hutu's in some way, shape or form?

President Bizimungu: "Well, Mr. President, I don't mean to imply anything. However, there is a sizable Hutu population straddling the border between Zaire and Rwanda, and it would do good to show these Hutus that the change in government in Rwanda does not signify a threat to them or their existence. The area is volatile, the threat of cross-border terrorism real as vengeance for perceived injustices against the Hutus. I want to reconcile not with the Zairian government, but with anyone in Zaire who may believe the Tutsis are an enemy to the Hutus, or to anyone. We will not dominate politics as the Hutu did; we are determined to share it. I am determined to share it."
