NS just recently recovered from a major hardware disaster, and they're still trying to fix some of the stuff that broke. (Specifically, cards are broken, and they may be forced to do a year+ rollback because that's the most recent hard backup file.)

Thankfully there are better backups in general, it just so happened that this specific breakdown happened on the one drive that wasn't covered fully.
Like this was literally the worst possible way things could break down, given their hardware setup, short of having the entire server building explode or something.
