After nearly a month of protests, the government of the southern island nation of Minoria has collapsed. More than 23 government officials have resigned in the past 3 days and today, Minorian president Tony Sanderson was found trying to escape the country on a plane. A mob stormed the airfield that the Aireal 370-800 was getting ready to takeoff from and managed to stop it by latching onto its undercarriage. President Sanderson was evacuated by police four hours later and resigned immediately. However, instead of a Minorian official taking over the position, the Tertanian government has stepped in to claim the island which has lead many to claim that Tertania was putting pressure on Sanderson to resign. This claim was supplemented by the Minorian Minister of Health who claimed that "shady deals were going on behind the scenes" and that the "Tertanians are not to be trusted". The Minister was found dead in her residence yesterday after an apparent suicide. A Tertanian spokesperson has denied claims of any attempts to influence or sway the Minorian government and that the 'Defence Site' on the island was completely legal and did not affect the rest of the population in any way.
