Go south. Or east. You have one of the cradles of human civilization with fascinating ruins and unique alphabet, other country which created alphabet used by 252 million people and was the literary and culture centre of the Entire Slavic world and one of the oldest countries currently existing. And if you look East you will see the biggest country in the world with it's unique culture, architecture and history. For a long time, the border of the civilization and culture in Europe was the Danube river and the mountains/rivers to the West.
