NATION
Iqe is a medium-sized nation located in South-East Usonea. It is ruled by Queen Sakura II, the 4th Queen to come from the House of Yamamoto. Iqe is a Autocratic Absolute Parliamentary Monarchy, with the Royal Senate taking most of the secondary-lesser important issues nation-wide. Queen Sakura rules the country with an iron grip, the two major exceptions being economic and political freedoms. The nation consists of 13 Provinces, 1 Administrative Region. Iqe has about 175,197 Square Kilometers of total landmass. It is bordered by only one other country; The syca
The name, Iqe, comes from the native Iq'nese word of "Ikke" meaning Cloudy Landmass. Presumably, many people think Ikke was the name for Tagai before it was an official city. Over the centuries, the word transformed into Iqe, and as of the Yamato Revolution, it has become the official name of the country.
Charetese Civilizations 1600BC - 1250BC
Life during the Charetese period is relatively unknown, with the only knowledge of it being the Kingdoms of Naragawa and Turimaki. These kingdoms were heavily isolated and resided along the Shiwaro Island Chain.
The Great Migration 1250 BC - 1123BC
During the Migration period, about 6,000 Tohawko tribesmen moved from their invaded homeland to what is now the city of Yuadong. From there, the Tohawko had contact with the Charetese, and forced both kingdoms to become vassals. Soon enough, the Tohawko would unite these two kingoms into their own realm.
Tohawko Kingdoms 1123BC - 200 BC
Since the first unit, the Chartese would revolt, and a series of wars would commence, diving the entire area now known as Iqe. Eventually, however, a civil war would grip the Tohawko Kingdom, forcing it to relinquish the Chartese and split in half. Thanks to this, a rapid destabilization would commence.
Tohawko Kingdom 200BC - 127 AD
The Towhako would finally re-unite, but by that time, it would be too late. The Chartese would've been united for an entire century now, forming the city of Tagai. Tagai itself would revolt and would form the Tagai merchant republic, which would become a quick enemy on Towhako. Soon enough, a great war would begin between Towhako, the Chartese and Tagai, killing Towhako and leading Tagai to usurp its territories.
The Tagai Republic would invade the remaining Chartese nations after its victory in the great war with Towhako. Tagai from there would remain relatively peaceful, doubling in population and slowly expanding. However, a monarchist revolt would commence, orchestrated by the House of Harato.
With the monarchist revolt just winning, the House of Harato would begin some major economic reforms. The first "bill of rights" would be signed, granting everyone a set of basic rights, excluding free speech. The Kingdom period also saw the introduction of international trade into Iqe/Tagai, something no other civilization had before. However, all things come to an end.
With international trade, came international affairs, and enemies. Soon after international ports were opened, Japanese vessels would begin surrounding the island. Shortly after, Yuadong would be put under siege, followed by Tagai. With the sieges becoming more and more detrimental, the House of Harato would agree to a peace treaty, uniting the houses of Harato with the Imperial House of Japan, forming the House of Yamamoto. Said house, is ruling Iqe to this day, with relative stability and constant reforms.
The Geography of Iqe is relatively simple. To start off, the country is made up of 13 Provinces, 1 Administrative Region. Half of the country consists of Shiwaro Island Chain, a series of volcanic islands located around Tagai. The most populated region is the Tagai Metro, consisting of bout 14,000,000 People. From there, Yuadong and Mishiza quickly follow suit, at about 4,000,000 and 3,000,000.The highest peak in the country is Mount Fuoji, at 3,776 meters above sea level. The lowest peak are the Namagura Plains, at about 10 meters below sea level. Ije experiences two seasons; Typhoon and Dry Season. They split the year equally, with Typhoon Season taking the year from June to December, and Dry Season taking the year from December to June. Below is a map of the nation as a whole.

The Iq'nese government is a relatively simple Authoritarian Absolute Monarchy, with Queen Sakura II being its head as of 1927. The government itself is split into two powers, the Royal House, and the Royal Senate. The Royal House consists of the Royal Family and their subjects, making most important decisions with Queen Sakura II having the biggest power within it. The Royal Senate is a senatorial body for more minor decisions, only being summoned when Queen Sakura II decides so. The current senate leader is King Consort Itimachi of Jeju.
Iq'nese culture is one in a kind, as major aspects from the polynesians, the Japanese, the Koreans and the Taiwanese are taken into a new mix. As a start, Iqe has its own religion, the Iq'nese variant of Buddhism. To add more spice to this, two gods would be added, as in addition to Buddha, would exist Nara. Nara would be a water deity of sorts, controlling the sea, the rain, the tides and the rivers. She is heavily praised by most of the population to this day, the government encouraging it heavily.
Iq'nese infrastructure is surprisingly good, considering its age of about 60-80 years. Iqe itself relies on a set of water de-salination plants scattered along all islands to get potable water, sold by the IWC, Iq'nese Water Company, a state-owned company. Roads, railways and bridges all exist in surplus, with one of the most surprising projects being the Yuadong-Katai high-speed railway system.
