King Dingonium II eagerly leads his troops personally, leaving King Yuri of the Kitsunes to rule over his section of Dogetopia until he returns, an arrangement that has worked perfectly for many years now, as the two of them are so close as to essentially be brothers. The soldiers begin to close in on a dodo colony, but Dingonium II sees something on a spy network that causes him to abort the mission and stop by a nearby planet first, where he begins to brief the soldiers.
“We were going to attack a major communication center of the dodo civilization, but we’ve discovered that it had already fallen to some kind of psychic influence. The natives are writhing with tentacles and have been having nightmares apparently. Does anyone have any ideas on how to handle the mission?
