Iceland commends the efforts of the Pan-Asian Scientific Ethics Committee where scientists can study important issues that concern them and their neighbors. Their are many things to be done. By request of Prime Minister Leo Arason he has announced a national creation of a Nordic Scientific Studies Council to study the geo-political climate of nations of Nordic influence in their historical background. It is the goal of this study to preserve the Nordic identity so none forget where we come from. As the political climate changes so do the threats remains to Nordic traditions and culture. Through cooperation in understanding on a diplomatic level will be key what can be achieved. There are no plans to take this international but we open to the possibilities it may bring to Iceland's surrounding neighbors.
