BANGKOK OUTREACH
    MORNING REPORT - 9:00 A.M.

MILITARY TAKES DOWN STREETS TO ENFORCE PRATULAT REGIME

At 5:30 A.M. this morning, Thais in Bangkok were awoken by the spread of soldiers and tanks throughout the city streets. Blockades were set up on most streets to prevent traffic from entering, and to limit the amount of protesters from increasing. Several thousand Thais remained in the streets last night and through this morning protesting the new regime of Pratulat which gained power just a week ago in what has been dubbed a "silent coup". Across Thailand, thousands gathered with signs, slogans, and a common enemy, 'Acting' Prime Minister Pratulat.

The escalation of these protests prompted a declaration of martial law just two days ago. However, Pratulat had been up until this morning, unsuccessful in quelling the protests that he dubbed 'riots', and 'a common enemy of our stability.'

The involvement of the military this morning, however expected, comes as a shock to most Thais. Currently, most protestors have continued to hold ground on Bangkok streets. Military soldiers have set up barricades to prevent movement between groups of protestors, in a move to slowly diminish resistance. Among barricades, soldiers have also been armed with tear gas, pepper spray, and firearms of numerous sizes. The crowd that has surrounded the newly constructed primary U.S. Embassy building for the last week continues to hold ground though, as increasing demand for some sort of help from the U.S. is supported among most Thais. Several people have attempted to breach the makeshift barriers and fences that have been setup around the perimeter of the building's ground level, all having been detained by RTA authorities. Just thirty minutes ago, U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, Michael George DeSombre, made this comment:

"I would like to begin with this; I am aware of the concerns of Thailand right now. I appreciate their willingness to be aware of the current political situation, and I remind them to exercise their concerns with the upmost caution and responsibility ... We do hope for the most peaceful resolution to these concerns of Thai citizens, and we hope for a peaceful, and stable resolution of power in leadership..."

As the morning moves on, the mobilization of the Royal Thai Army, and Armed Forces continues, with several tanks and hundreds of RTA soldiers continue to roll into the streets of Bangkok, Nakhon Ratchasima, Hat Yai, Udon Thani, Chiang Mai, and other major cities. 'Acting' Prime Minister Pratulat made this clear to all of Thailand with this announcement several hours ago:

"...Stability. It's what has always been best and is now best for our Kingdom of Thailand. Do not create chaos. It is a harm to our system, our credibility, our stability, and in that, our survival. I have done what's best for Thailand, now it's time you do what's best for Thailand. Do not create chaos ... This morning, on orders of mine, the Royal Thai Army, as well as other branches of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, began enforcing martial law within the streets of our cities. This has included the deployment of hundreds of soldiers, as well as tanks and other military equipment to back them. I have waited days, and this is necessary to uphold Thailand's stability. The soldiers and equipment will remain in place until each, and every single rioter that incites violence is halted."

It is unclear whether or not the protestors will continue their cause.

    MORNING UPDATE - 10:00 A.M.

MILITARY CLASHES WITH CIVILIANS! DOZENS INJURED!

Dozens of Thai protestors in Bangkok have been injured and likely killed after a clash with military personnel began an hour ago. Soldiers have begun firing shots into a crowd of cornered and blockaded protestors on a street in the Dusit District of Bangkok. The street is filled with tear gas among other potent chemicals as soldiers attempt to force the protestors into surrender.

The violence began just an hour ago after soldiers on both sides of the street began advancing their shields into the crowd of over a hundred or so cornered protestors, on unknown orders. It is unclear, however one live stream at the time clearly shows a protestor toss a brick from the side of the street towards the shield of a soldier who then retaliated with a toss of a canister of tear gas. Since that moment, screams erupted as tear gas surrounded the vision and scorched the throats of the Thais in the street. After that, several groups of people began rushing the shields of several soldiers on the west end of the street, as a tank began clearing the way behind the opposite line of soldiers.

The shots started just ten minutes ago, after about 50 minutes of bombardment of tear gas, rocks, and other chemicals, among the rushing group of people on the west line of soldiers. Several Thais are estimated to have been gruesomely killed at this time, however no clear conformation outside of the several video streams protestors have been recording has been made. Estimates of anywhere from 15-50 gunshots have been heard by those in the immediate area. Windows of adjoining buildings have been shattered and several small fires have been started in and around the immediate area.

The Eastern line of soldiers have begun closing in on the west line, and it appears the protestors will have no choice but to surrender soon, as the western line also makes progress on the hundreds of very closely packed protestors.

Several Thais have begun making escapes into the adjoining buildings as no clear exit is open on the ground street level, and as the soldiers appear to be relentless.

    MORNING UPDATE - 10:40 A.M.

ARRESTS MADE AND CORNERED PROTESTORS SURRENDER! DOZENS OF INNOCENT LIKELY KILLED! INCIDENT DUBBED MASSACRE!

The cornered group of innocent protestors in the Dusit District and most other remaining protestors across Thailand have been forced into surrender by soldiers of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, as tanks, tear gas, and gunshots were used. As the group of over hundred protestors began fleeing into adjacent building, scathed by tear gas, gun shots, and battered by bruises, over a dozen remained limp in the street, and another several dozen pulled into cuffs by reinforcements of soldiers. The adjacent building have been locked down, as soldiers carry out mass arrests of those who were a part of, or assisting with the street protest.

Most live streams have been fully blocked by this time, and it is unclear whether this bloody massacre will be acknowledged or not. Little additional information is available at this time, and any cameras near the site have been confiscated.

This bloody massacre will not be forgotten, and we urge those who are made aware of this massacre speak out.
