Renate nodded. "It was a pleasure talking to you, Oseni." She watched the Ascendant enter the portal, then turned to her guards, and ordered them to head back up in the shuttle and prepare to drop the residency.

Then once they were gone, she finally broke the serious demeanour she'd been maintaining the entire time, and laughed and jumped.
She'd done it! She'd gotten herself assigned to a planet that wasn't farmed to extinction or a hopeless desert like Osiris!

Then she finally calmed down, and set off to explore and find a good spot to put down the residency.
