This was a major uphill battle for the President who faced a lot of criticism from the ACP, which worried that it would hurt small businesses and create a barrier of progress in civil rights. City-to-City News:
The City government in Princeton Plainsboro has passed a law that will drastically change the policy of a vehicle chase with police. After numerous wrecks and an excessive danger to the public, the police will not enage in a vehicle pursuit for stolen vehicles. Car theft is at an all time high in Princeton, but despite that, the legislature feels that the dangers to public safety shouldn't outway the need for an arrest. This new rule will not apply to any other crimes at this time, but Mayor Osborn stated, "This is a pilot of a new regulation that we hope won't impact the officer's ability to do their job, but we have to keep the law abiding and innocent citizens safe first and foremost."
