Terban Kedah's largest corruption-blitz ever
Over 1000 individuals, most of them in the public sector were nabbed by police in an operation spearheaded by the Terban Kedah Commercial Affairs Department (TKCAD) and Anti-Corruption Commission of Terban Kedah (ACCTK). Home Affairs minister Teo Ho Sin confirmed the operation did occur and the operation is part of Prime Minister's Ho Peng Chong's vision to keep Terban Kedah corrupt free.
Just recently, TK's corruption perception index shows a dramatic improvement by attaining its highest rank and score ever. Minister Teo credited such achievement to the government's continuous effort and stance in keeping the system clean. He added that ACCTK will not hesitate to take action against anyone, including senior ranking public servants, to task if they engage in corruption activities or break the law. As the recent blitz has just occured and investigations ongoing, Teo told the media that TKCAD and ACCTK will announce more details about the blitz and cases involved when they have enough details verified.
