But, more than any point-by-point is the simpler refutation of the source of essentially all the controversy. All of the hysteria regarding the repeal of the ACA, the Bernie Sanders idea that it'll be ten 9/11s of people dying every year, is based around this completely random and ludicrous idea that the U.S. Pre-2009 was a Dickens-like medieval pit of hell, people going out and dying on the streets like a third-world country.

It wasn't. It's a nonsensical collective fantasy. America wasn't a third-world country before the ACA, and if it is truly a matter of life and death...

It is under the ACA that life expectancy has fallen significantly in the U.S. for the first time in twenty years.

This isn't some abstract thought of what would happen if we repealed some decades-old program. We know what the system was like without the ACA-and it was nowhere close to the doom prophesied.
