Qoklas and the army were not standing idle however. When Mityas's broadcast had been sent out, Qoklas had ordered the army garrisons from the two neighboring town to restore order to the city. However, when the Szergo garrison fell, Qoklas had enacted the Rebellion Act, declaring the country to be in a state of rebellion. The army in the capital was to be moving west immediately, and all military personnel in the east were to restore order at all cost.
But there was trouble. Military units moving towards Szergo were being periodically stopped by random ambushes. Many of these units were being met with heavy resistance, and faced up to 50% unit destruction. As far as the government knew, the military in the east had not turned on them, so where were these random fights coming from?
Soon, Qoklas had his answer. On the radio, from the small town of Tataremz, came a major announcement:
"People of Urganom, the Anarchist League has seen the false Emperor's failure to take the right actions for this nation. Instead of doing what is good for all of Urganom, which is the abolishment of the monarchy, he had decided to destroy the Urgish people. The Anarchist Council had decided, that in the spirit of revolution, to declare an alliance between our group and the People's Republican government in Szergo. All members of our group are herby called to resist the Monarchies attempt to destroy our people, and defeat their armies!"
With this second broadcast, town after town, village after village had declared their support for the Mityas-Anarchist aligned government. The army in the east was in enemy territory now, and would need to immediately retreat.
