just a quick thing, since i noticed that few people liked the comment from my eu4 campaign as hungary here:
So the HRE was fully protestant with France, Russia and half of Italy controled by Milan in the league against Austria (who still lacked Wien thanks to me) and Bohemia that took western half of Poland.
The catholic league stood no chance even with spain, except for the Ottomans with 2 lvls higher tech then all of europe.
In a nutshell Russia was steamrolled without a fight by the Otto bros and Emperor bohemia somehow managed to hold its ground with 3 star generals until the Ottomans arrived and just by themselves forced the league war to something i wasn't aware was even a part of the league war. They managed to force the Treaty of Westphalia. so the HRE no longer suffered from heresy due to its emperor being catholic rulling over 30+ heretical princes.
After this the Otto bros decimated Russia in 2 more wars and pushed it i think to 5 provinces away from Moscow?
I got invaded twice by Ottos after which HRE joined in cause Austria and Bohemia (still emperor were allies) literally 4 months after my defeat at the hands of the Ottoman turks.
And just for info they were nearly never in war before, (ottomans) as we managed to get them stuck between me and Mamluks. With me and Russia defeated Ottomans started conquering in lightning speed all of the Middle East and pushed for Alexandria. As well as most of Eastern Europe and Balkan was under them.
I as an Orthodox Hungary decided to escape to southern Italy by using Milan and France to beat Spain. Which after the first war was invaded by Morroco and the Ottomans with Tunis XD

Good Evening Westfalen Westphalia.
My main nation is The Teachings of Lemmingtopias from Atlantis. I think it would be great for our regions to get closer together and see where such a friendship leads, so I thought I'd pop a nation into your great region.
I haven't played much EU4, I still play a lot of CK2.
At the moment I'm playing shattered world. I have a TON of tributaries across Greece, Anatolia and the Balkans but I'm having a terrible time actually incorporating my neighbours into my duchy.

CK2 is an amazing game. The only problem is the overwhelming amount of DLC, though I guess that’s the same for all paradox games at this point...

*Quick announcement, I'm going on a family roadtrip, so after this week, there will be no new topics for the next two weeks until at least the 7th of July.*
This week's topic is following news that is somewhat buried, and is hard to find really good sources for reference, but here we go:
"What do you believe will happen in South Sudan following the Coup D'etat by the military?"
To clarify, this will be speculation and educated guessing.

I used to play a lot of EU4, but the amount of DLC these days... I just can't afford to play, so I just occasionally watch arumba. Anyhow, I have a story about my longest game using Extended Timeline Mod:
So I created a nation called Konigsriech Bremen. It was medium size, hugging the coast from southern Belgium to Holstein. I started sometime in the 1200s and off I went! Only really notable thing that happened in the middle ages was Mongolia making it all the way to HRE basically before collapsing. Oh, and me taking the mission to conquer the Spice Islands (yeah, long time ago), and actually sailing a large force over there only to find out that I couldn't even vassalize them. Anyhow, I was able to gobble up land along the coast until about Danzig, where I thought I had gone east enough. I then focused on Denmark, and they were a PAIN, let me tell you. 10 WARS in the game against this little country. I don't think I was able to actually fully annexed that pain until the 1700s. Anyways, I managed to grab a bunch of Norway, some Scottish islands, and Iceland by the time the renaissance happened. This gave me and advantage in exploration since I just had 3 ships on standby on Iceland the whole time. Anyhow, I discovered the New World (this had random NW), and it was this giant pair of islands basically. I was lucky that pretty much no one else colonized, and I grabbed pretty much all of it. I did have to fight the UK, but no biggie. By the early 1800s, I was a country to respect, but not really fear due to my atrocious luck and my mystically low military tradition. I then took over western Scandinavia and much of northern Germany, made a couple colonies in Africa where there was still room, and then in the 1860s-1880s, I try to conquer Morocco. Emphasis on TRY. It became the new Denmark, and it just refused to die even though I was ahead by a good 3-4 mil techs. After that, there was a brief world war where I won with my allies who started it, and I decided to leave it there for now. The next major update happens, and the save is corrupted.
And that was the last EU4 game I played. After that, its just that I can't afford financially to keep up with the updates, so I don't even try anymore.
