A lot more simpler than the first one, which might work out a bit better than it.

The first one looks good, and is incredibly distinctive, albeit a little complex.

The second is pretty good as well, though swapping the blue and white to maintain rule of tincture might be a good move.

I think I will use the first. Personally I think I would find it harder to draw a maple leaf than some triangles. I feel bad for Americans though who had to draw fifty stars.

I will die before I use ripple effect.

House Whitehill?

I can definitely see the resemblance. Believe me when I say I've never watched GoT surprisingly enough.

This is of me.

I wish there were more modern tankettes around. There's not material besides the Weisel.

I mean, one good RPG would take those things out easily. Lack of survivability.

True. Their ease of mobility, versatility as a weapons platform, and carrying capacity are where they shine though. Ideally you'd use them as a scout or such where one wouldn't explicitly get into fights. Their weight however makes them perfect for helicopters and airborne operations. I think they would be good for mountains as well where their low weight and tracks would do well, just a thought.

Modern tankettes would probably have to be unmanned. Armor could be made somewhat thicker without the need for crew space. Maybe the armor itself wouldn’t be thick enough to defend against most AT projectiles but active defense systems could prevent them from hitting the armor. Or there’s ERA potentially.

I feel like adding extra defenses would be redundant to the strength of the mobility and speed of such a vehicle. I feel like it would fit into a niche of a mountain/reconnaissance vehicle quite well, where a crew could scout and then quickly retreat, all within a quick vehicle with a decent munitions package.

Wouldn’t mounting a proper turret on an APC or IFV accomplish the same task as a tankette?

Yes. But those are heavier and more cumbersome than a tankette, also their roles are more focused on troop transport rather than light scouting and mobility. Tankettes also have the luxury of tracks while a lot of APCs and IFVs do not.

That's a light, tracked vehicle that weighs around the mass of a Humvee, is able to maneuver around more terrain, and has the same amount of versatility in a smaller package.

Yeah, it’s the map you left on #resources.

And cricket - don’t forget cricket you heathen

And me a bit as well. Although I haven't got around to finishing the waiting list recently...

Potentially. In terms of efficiency and military procurement, you are probably correct. Although as I mentioned there could be an "in" for the tankette once again due to technological advances towards unmanned vehicles. One tankette that comes to mind is the Italian Carro Veloce, which seemed to have been relatively low profile compared to many, although it lacked a turret. A modern version could almost be like an S-tankette lol.

Not sure it'd actually be practical, but those are some theories of how it might look and be most useful IMO.

Killer flag, it reminds me of some type of powerful Arctic empire. Nice job

I specifically remember thinking "oh god it's only Monday" what feels like 3 days ago but it's already Monday again.

If anyone knows where all this time has been disappearing to, let me know

Wait a minute it's the third week of January. When did that happen?
