Hm, I don't really know of any RP regions with a map. Maybe have a look in the RP sections of the NS forum?

Eireach wrote:This is sad, I left an inhospitable region that refused to respect sovereignty, I went to a region that looked hopeful and tries go get involved then go to sleep and the founder kicks me out overnight. Now I am here. You all seem to be amazing people and reading the RMB has been fun! Id like to find a region that has an active RP map and allows countries to be what they want. Does anyone have suggestions? Thank you all!

Oh look, a nation that’s true in their ejection reason. Sorry, we just tend to get a lot of nations saying “I got banned from [region] because they’re tyrants!” And then you look at the messages they posted and it’s just spam.

Also, welcome! Depending on how long you’ve been here, you may or may not know about our misrules, so if you don’t, go to the previous page to read about them.

It is interesting that most of the people here, that came from other regions don't misbehave here.
So, what is this telling you?

Oh no, no chocolate for the dog. Also no raisins, no onions.

She did have turkey though, quite a bit of it too.

I read up on some of the English Kings and their wives. Seems here they even have a rhyme of sorts for the 6 wives of Henry VIII.

Crazy girl wrote: Seems here they even have a rhyme of sorts for the 6 wives of Henry VIII.

I don't envy him. Even one wife can make you insane.

Post by Crazy girl suppressed by The church of satan.

Well, the rhyme is this: divorced, beheaded, died. Divorced, beheaded, survived.

Interestingly, his first divorce was the reason the Church of England split off from Rome and the Pope.

We are in schism with the Catholicism, dating from about 1200 years back.
My opinion is that after the Inquisition anyone with his mind would avoid Rome.
Catholicism is perhaps the most backward and violent branch of Christianity.
So many people with a cross on their chest, using it as an excuse for atrocities.
It is good that French revolution happened, otherwise perhaps people from Western Europe may still be burning witches.
I will never forgive Rome for Copernicus and Galileo. Holding back the science is never nice.

“The child shall not share the guilt of the parent...” Ezekiel 18:20. I’m personally a Catholic due to my grandparents bringing Catholic. And besides if Protestantism was around back then, wouldn’t you think they’d have used that as an excuse? Plus, the Byzantine Iconoclastic period, largely due to their Orthodox leanings, destroyed countless pieces of art because they thought art was heresy. Finally, the point about the Inquisition. I assume you’re talking about the Spanish Inquisition(nobody expects), which, to my knowledge, actually wasn’t as harsh as people seem to think it is.

Hoffania wrote:Plus, the Byzantine Iconoclastic period, largely due to their Orthodox leanings, destroyed countless pieces of art because they thought art was heresy. Finally, the point about the Inquisition.

Well, this is my opinion. Somewhat long, so I put it in spoiler.

I think that Iconoclastic period is the best thing, that can happen. The people just got sick from the clergy, that profited on their backs/expense. It is only in Catholicism, where you can pay to redeem your sins. Indulgences - corruption of highest level possible. And you are wrong. It were icons that were destroyed. The worshiping of icons was considered heresy. Because the clergy profited from selling them. More than one time, our country had to repel Crusaders, that considered Orthodox Christians heretics and tried to ravage and pillage the land. But don't worry. I am atheist and don't care too much, except about the fact that Rome with it's backward thinking tried to hold back the science, because the Pope was afraid that if the people were educated and possessed knowledge, their profits may decrease. It is the stupidity of Rome that aggravated the situation with the plague. Burning cats, because they were reincarnation of witches. Nice one! They were the only thing that effectively limited the spread of rodents, that were in turn spreading the plague.
After the fall of the Roman empire up to 17 century no science existed on the territory of the Western Europe, because of Pope. Everyone that was clever was stoned to death or burned alive. Count how many years this is. And during this time, the Europe could have developed science. Instead, wars, misery and witch hunts. After the antiquity up to 17 century there was a huge gap. Total regress of culture and science. Cats were sacred for ancient Egyptians. But Rome thought that it knew better.
In Eastern Europe it was caesaropapism. This means - king first, clergy subordinated to the king.
But around 16 century, they concluded that slavery is good. So after 1000 dark years, 300 years of slavery. I really dont know what was wrong with the people. Antiquity, although it's primitiveness - I admire it. After this......wtf...
This is why I am atheist. It is not only that I don't believe that there is god, but I also am allergic to clergy.
If the Pope was such a good person, why just not to give away all the wealth of the Rome?
Is this what was written in the Bible? Or maybe there is a passage that is saying that you must kill or enslave other people?

No science existed until the 1600s? Okay, let’s try this theory of yours.
Nicolaus Copernicus, the man who created the model that placed the sun at the center of the Solar System rather than the Earth, lived from 1473 to 1543.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicolaus_Copernicus
Johannes Gutenberg, inventor of the Printing Press, made this invention in 1440. https://www.history.com/.amp/topics/inventions/printing-press
Oxford University has evidence of teachings there as early as 1096, and Cambridge as early as 1209
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Oxford and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Cambridge
And for your claim about Catholicism starting wars, again, do you really think Protestants wouldn’t have gone to war for the same reason?
And the “icons”, even though they may be heretical(maybe), I’d still rather have them preserved. Again, it was the Byzantine Orthodox Church that purged the artifacts, not the Catholic one.

And if your grandparents were atheists? Is this something you chose or you were just indoctrinated?
People may share guilt because they do not criticize, not because they are descendants.
The Protestantism and Reformism appeared because people become too tired of being oppressed.

Hoffania wrote:Nicolaus Copernicus, the man who created the model that placed the sun at the center of the Solar System rather than the Earth, lived from 1473 to 1543.

And what happened to him? The Pope applauded him for his insights?

While people in antiquity did believe in god/gods, they were free do discuss.
Discussing god in medieval western Europe just can get you burned alive.

I was atheist for myself for a bit, but then I became Christian, and I chose Catholicism because my grandparents were Catholic. There is an incredibly huge difference between “chose to become” and “indoctrinated”, and that’s plainly ignorant for you to say that. Finally, as my rules of argument, I stop when either side resorts to insults. I feel the “ignorant” bit is an insult, so I’m stopping here.

Hoffania wrote:] Finally, as my rules of argument, I stop when either side resorts to insults. I feel the “ignorant” bit is an insult, so I’m stopping here.

Long post

I meant no harm. And didn't want to insult you. It is just that when it comes to beliefs, the believers are mostly intolerant, when it comes to discussing these beliefs. And according to Russell's teapot the burden of proof is on the believers to prove that god exists. Otherwise, it is nothing more a fantasy to me. And the concept of the "god" between the lines - I dislike.
If you fail - it is the gods plan. If you succeed - it is the gods blessing. !?
For me - if you fail, it is you that is guilty. Try again. If you succeed - it is purely your success.
You made it possible with your efforts.

Hoffania wrote: There is an incredibly huge difference between “chose to become” and “indoctrinated”, and that’s plainly ignorant for you to say that.

I was just asking. Because if you chose, then you discussed it with your inner yourself.
Believe me, I had no way of knowing this. This means that you are conscious person.
Don't get me wrong. I admire the true believers. The ones that actually and truly believe in mercy, forgiveness...
While 1/2 of the Bible I consider not more than historical reference, I am with all hands for the universal human values.
Worthy persons, worthy people does not have religion, race, ethos. They come in all sizes and shapes.
And are something to be admired.

Hoffania wrote:And for your claim about Catholicism starting wars, again, do you really think Protestants wouldn’t have gone to war for the same reason?

Well, the Orthodox Christians never started wars......I mean wars, where religion or heresy were used as pretext.
Just saying.... And I also am not saying that you are ignorant or stupid. It was just that to reform the Catholicism, more than millennia was required. For it to become something truly decent. But this does not change the History.

Then write them the right way on a first place! For my zodiacal sign, laws are not hard truths, but more of guidelines that are subject to interpretation according to the situation. I do not accept this. You wanted - you received. If you are not satisfied with the result, then specify in more detail! I followed the rules up to the letter.
And be wary, when I was young, I wanted to become a lawyer. I can beat you with your every single statement or letter.

Hoffania wrote:And the “icons”, even though they may be heretical(maybe), I’d still rather have them preserved. Again, it was the Byzantine Orthodox Church that purged the artifacts, not the Catholic one.

Just to add something
Iconoclasm (Greek: εἰκονοκλάστης) was a religious-political movement in Christianity in the eighteenth and ninth centuries that opposed the widespread and idolatrous worship of icons and relics, as well as their excessive commercialization.
It was about commercialization and clergy trying to profit on the expense of the regular people. Not randomly burning and destroying stuff. In my History lessons, we were studying this period in the Byzantine History in detail.
Also, in the 10 commandments it is written:
-----
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers ...
-----
What is it making and selling icons, worshiping objects instead of the god? So iconoclast had it's arguments.
