I'm probably don't know what I'm talking about so please excuse me if I get anything wrong. A Father Knows Best State is like an authoritarian state, with no elections just like Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, etc.. minus the horrific evil persona of said leader leading such state because they tries to do good for the state. Basically a benevolent leader who wants to do good for the people, but they have to stay in power to do so (for some reason). Examples of such regimes in the past are Henri IV of France (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_IV_of_France) and Francisco Franco of Spain (from the Pre-WW2 Spanish civil war)
The term here is a bit bendy in terms of meaning, because technically you can also include Hitler's Nazi Germany as he tried to free Germany's from the shackles of the Weimar-era debt / hyperinflation, building the autobahns and resorts for workers (Prora, never built).
In my honest opinion, a father knows best state might sound nice to live in, but I do not think its the best form of government there is. Think of the people as children and the dictator as the parent. The parent doesn't let the children in knowing what are they having for dinner, how or when they are having, just that they are definitely having it. The children are just simply spoonfed by these parents, and that is what they are supposed to be content with. A more open-minded citizen / child starts to assume / want to assume more responsibilities, knowing more about the process on how food gets to the table and even contribute to making that food. Who knows, maybe the parents fed them something they don't like and they want to fix the recipe, but that requires them being in the kitchen / the parliament.
Hence, I don't ever believe a FKBT could ever work. All citizens deserves to live in a prosperous state, but not by sitting by and let someone that they supposedly represent do it all for them in the dark. A proper democratic government / leader is transparent and does not lie about its plan to its citizens, takes in constructive criticism as well as letting the people join in and help the leader "get food on the table".

The Pacific's stance on Francosim is the same as an American's stance on America: we created it. We are the New Pacific Order. And yes it is definitely a thing and moreover is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, ideology in NationStates.
User-created regions are, by themselves, not a bad thing. What becomes bad is when a userite returns to a feeder or sinker region and tries to subvert its government for the benefit of their UCR. This is what the Pacific stands against, against all who would plot or who has plotted against the GCRs of the game. They are the enemy.
So I am way behind on the megaplot/post/story thing we are doing can I get and update?
