The LKE is looking for nations to join the Civil Service!
Huh, what's a Civil Service? The Civil Service is an area of the LKE dedicated to working for the government and is one of the most important components of the LKE government. it is divided into five departments:
Imperial Broadcasting Service: The IBS is responsible for publishing official dispatches, gathering information about the region, and creating/evaluating regional polling.
HSM Diplomatic Service: HSMDS is the chief agency for diplomacy. It is responsible for maintaining the Empire's embassies, and keeping the LKE up to date on the world's happenings.
Ministry of Culture: The Ministry of Culture is responsible for promoting the high imperial culture of the LKE, assisting staff in each other's endeavors, and keeping the LKE engaging for members.
Naturalization Service: The Naturalization Service is responsible for issues concerning citizenship, welcoming and familiarizing new nations with the LKE.
Ministry of the Colonies: The Ministry of the Colonies is responsible for promoting the colonial empire of the LKE by assisting in their growth, culture, and maintenance.
That's cool and all, but why should I apply?
Great question! The Civil Service is an opportunity for Citizens to get involved in regional affairs, and obtain the full experience that the LKE has to offer!
You may feel intimidated, or even hesitant to apply out of fear you'll be unbecoming, but fear not, for we at the Civil Service welcome all newcomers, and even if you have little to contribute, your willingness to join the Civil Service is in itself a great initiative! It is also recommended that you join multiple departments! There's no harm in doing so, and it is encouraged so you may get the most out of the region!
This is not all, the LKE recently signed into law an incentive bill that awards those who put in the most work above all, and also recognizes all who, regardless of effort, work within the Civil Service! Even if you are not the best of the best, you will still be held in high regard, and your participation will be highly respected within the region.
That sounds great! How do I sign up?
The only requirement for signing up is that you are a citizen of the LKE. If you have not already done so, it is heavily recommended you become a citizen to engage with the region on the off-site forums. Once you have citizenship all you need to do is head to the Employment Center on the main page in the forums, and apply for whichever departments you wish!

Once you are accepted, you will be assisted in whatever tasks you are assigned to do, you should not fear being misguided, as each department will assist you in accomplishing what needs to be done.

For those who want to do more than answer issues, the best way to get involved further in our regional government is to register on our off-site forum and apply for citizenship (membership of the Electoral College). Below are the following steps to do that:

- Apply for citizenship/electoral status by filling out and posting the short application. This will give you complete access to our forum and all the benefits that come with it.
While waiting for your citizenship application to be approved. You may wish to make introductory remarks in the
City Gates.

Congratulations! Your application has been approved, here are the things you can do next:
Play some spam games on
Maximus Street, or join/start a discussion on the Imperial Square. If you have an idea for a roleplay game, start one in the Stories on the LKE.Do you like reading, writing, gaming or debating? Then our
Regional Societies have exactly what your looking for.Interested in politics, visit
Faction Avenue and join one of our political parties or start your own here. Run for a seat in parliament and rise to the highest positions of our government or the colonial administration.Does the thought of raiding and conquering regions appeal to you? If so, then perhaps a career in the
Imperial Army is right for you. We are always looking for new recruits to lead our region to greater glory!What about being a diplomat in His Supreme Majesty's Diplomatic Service? Then apply
here. This is the easiest way to gain experience while serving the region. Do you want your voice to be heard or have an idea for a business? Then check out the

University of The Land of Kings and Emperors runs law & political science programmes, features lecturers, and more. Be sure to check them out!
Don't you see anything you're interested in? That's okay, we are always open to new ideas and suggestions. Feel free to leave a message on Discord, post in the Imperial Square or telegram a regional officer.
Aside from answering issues, participating in our regional forums and chatting with the other Electors of the LKE in our RMB, another thing you might want to consider is joining the World Assembly. By joining the WA, you can submit your own resolutions, vote, and endorse other nations. By becoming a member of the World Assembly, you also help the LKE grow its influence in the world stage. WA nations endorsing our World Assembly Delegate New Zora increase the number of our region's votes in the body.
You need to a valid email. Go to your nation's settings and check if you provided one.
Go to the World Assembly page and click on "Apply to Join" at the top.
A confirmation email from NationStates will then be sent to the address you provided. Log in and look for the message from NationStates. Click the link and you should be directed back to the game.
Note, the rules allow you to only have one nation in the World Assembly. While you can create as much nations as you want (you can even move in more than one nation to the LKE), the game prohibits you from having multiple nations joining the WA.
