Dang, we don't know how anybody digs a hole in Texas without a major piece of construction equipment! For those unaware, Texas has a layer of about four inches of dirt that covers rock, lots of rock. Just digging a hole is a major chore. Now we know why in so many of those old Westerns, peeps were "buried" by having lots of rocks piled on them and not put in a hole.

How did they get the rocks without digging the hole to get them?

The ground grows rocks. :)

"The Cloning Conventions
A resolution to modify universal standards of healthcare.

Category: Health Area of Effect: Bioethics Proposed by: La Navasse

Defines a clone for any organism as a genetically identical or a genetically altered, artificially produced copy of a single naturally born individual, the originator"...

<see the General Assembly for full text and to vote>

This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was down on the last GA vote -- Ozone Layer Protection -- which was passed after gaining 83.5% of the vote. If you would like to take part in shaping the world you live in, please vote. Voting is a right and a privilege, please consider using it. And, if you are not a member of the World Assembly, we strongly encourage you to join.

All Texas WA Member nations please vote. Please make your Texan opinions known in Texas by 11:00 PM Friday and in the World Assembly voting booth by 11:00 PM Texas Time on Saturday the 27th. Current voting in The World is running - Votes FOR: 3333 Votes AGAINST: 11872

Pour us a tumbler dear Darth Kermit. We will share some of our experiences with Rabbie as he was sometimes known. In honor of the late great Robert Burns, we will now recite some of our favorite lines of his:

Green grow the rashes, O;
Green grow the rashes, O;
The sweetest hours that e'er I spend
Are spent among the lasses, O.

Ah, the rashes! Despite them though, ol' Bobby still loved the young girls.

John Barleycorn got up again,
And sore surprised them all.

Maybe that was why Mr. Barleycorn must die.

If naebody care for me,
I'll care for naebody

Maybe that is where Homer's Mr. Burns got that eye-for-an-eye thing...

Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie,
O, what a panic's in thy breastie!
Thou need na start awa sae hasty,
Wi' bickering brattle!

Don't think we have ever heard a mouse described so poetically.

To Robert Burns, truly one of a kind! Cheers!

Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led;
Welcome to your gory bed,
Or to victory!

Now's the day, and now's the hour;
See the front o' battle lour;
See approach proud Edward's power—
Chains and slavery!

Wha will be a traitor knave?
Wha can fill a coward's grave!
Wha sae base as be a slave?
Let him turn and flee!

Wha for Scotland's king and law
Freedom's sword will strongly draw,
Freeman stand, or freeman fa',
Let him follow me!

By oppression's woes and pains!
By your sons in servile chains!
We will drain our dearest veins,
But they shall be free!

Lay the proud usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow!—
Let us do or die!

*Eyes brimming with tears, croaks in a quiet voice*

Please pass the Haggis Tacos.

***** Texas Saturday Breakfast *****

WooHootie! It is Saturday breakfast time again! Today will be Biscuits Breakfast Saturday! We think many will agree that a hearty breakfast starts with homemade biscuits. We will be cranking out these luscious chunks of leavened bread today in sizes ranging from silver-dollar to salad-plate. To start us off, we will be serving up Biscuits & Gravy! This Texas staple is a super-yummy delicacy that is simply a split biscuit covered in fresh, made-to-order, sawmill gravy which is a white gravy made from fried sausage, flour, and milk. These bad boys will fill you up fast. We will have home fries sautéed up to divine crispiness in butter available as well if you just cannot get enough of that gravy. Our Build-A-Biscuit-Sandwich Bar will satisfy all your hand-held breakfast needs. We will have Sausage (whole hog, chorizo, turkey, hot, mild, maple or sage), Eggs (any way you want them), Cheese (yellow or white, hard or soft), Bacon (duck or pork, smoked or not), Ham (thick slab or shaved), Steak (fine, fine filet grilled to order or Chicken-Fried), Chicken (battered & fried planks or grilled strips) and pretty much anything else you could want to slap between two halves of a big ol' biscuit. The Jelly Bar will be stocked to the top with plenty of fruit varieties including Grape Jelly, Apple Butter, Pear Preserves, Strawberry Jam, Orange Marmalade, Guava, Quince, Plum and much more that you may have never even heard of before. WooHootie, that's some Jelly! And, of course, there will be plenty of butter, baby - sweet or salty, low-fat or full fat, yummy yellow or wicked white butter! We got it all. Heaven! No Juice Bar today. Start your day off the right way, munch out and go back to sleep. Of course, The Never Ending Urn of Coffee is full and ready to help you wash it all down. Texas coffee doesn't get much better. Enjoy Texas! You know you want to!®

You have my support. I and the majority of the region my WA nation is in have voted in favor of this resolution. I think Texas is a very deserving region for this distinction.

Hello, Texas. Reading the latest in commendations, I noticed how part of it mentioned Texas's military. See, I come from Westphalia, which has recently been conquered by Raiders. There's a proposal recently sent to the Security Council for a liberation, and SWORD is attempting to rally support for it.

So I've come to you to blatantly solicit support for the proposal and the actual act of liberating Westphalia. I would not ask this if we were not desperate. Please, Texas, lend us your finest rangers in our efforts. My TG inbox is open for the coordination, if you wish to accept my pleas, and I thank you for your time.

I don't get raiding. It's such a lot of effort, all for the express purposes of ruining other people's fun. Are these the same sorts of people who set fire to homeless folk? Or who throw paving slabs into the path of cars from freeway bridges?

Because aside from sheer immature malice and sadism, I can't see why anyone would want to raid.

There is plenty of time for both. You usually do the Superb Owl one for a couple of days before we do the Super Bowl one. You still want to make yours about owls or bowels or bowls or owl bowels or whatever, Pharaoh? We know Bubo would like it...
