It's not rude at all to not endorse somebody back.

The main reason you might want to have as many mutual endorsements as possible is because endorsements raise your influence stat. If something ever happens and our founder CTEs (ceases to exist) then having a ton of influence in the region protects us and makes it harder for someone else to take over Refugia - so endorsing someone back is helping to protect the region overall.

However if you really don't want to endorse someone back for whatever reason, that's entirely up to you and nobody can make you! It's cool to endorse our delegate Sylh Alanor of course, all the most epic people do!

I don't know about anywhere else, but in Refugia, who you endorse is up to you even if we encourage endotarting (mass endorsing).
