Argentinian Navy reaches its destination
August 7 1992, Caracas, Val verde-

The Argentinian navy finally reached its destination without problems. The fleet passed through Brazilian waters with their permission and the convoy rapidly reached Venezuelan sea territory. The Primer Escuadron arrived at Caracas during the night and the final operation was now possible.

This mission of the fleet is now revealed to be an arms delivery from Argentina. the equipment delivered will by tried-out by the Venezuelans to see if they want to buy them and acquire more in the future. This is a great operation for the Argentinian defense industry, who lends this equipment for one year for free before a decision could be taken by the government of Venezuela. Argentina also provides advisors and experts to train the local armed forces on the vehicules and arms.
The delivery is of the following:

  • FARA 83 Assault rifles: 5,000

  • FMK-3 submachine guns: 10,000

  • Mathogo anti-tank missiles: 1,000

  • Tanque Argentino Mediano (TAM): 50

  • VCTP infantry fighting vehicule: 75

  • VCTM Mortar: 6

  • TAM VCA artillery: 6

  • Pampero MRL: 2

  • LARC-V amphibious vehicule: 15

The government of Mandrake takes risks as these are taken from the national inventory. Mr. Mandrake is confident on his equipment and his new ally:

"Venezuela is our new friend and ally in the PACC and I have hope that they will appreciate our equipment and maybe acquire them and make orders for more in the future. It shows also solidarity and faith between new allies. It also proves the PACC is strong and its members will cooperate for its survival and expansion. I see this lend as a minimal risk with potential for great rewards. Our defense industry needs to be known worldwide and what's better than making such showcase of our finest fielded equipment as a lend. This tryout will allow maybe future clients to better understand what they are acquiring. It could also show the qualities of our production to clients out of the PACC and who wish for cheaper equipment than the one provided by greater powers. Finally, it is our way to thank our neighbours for their unconditional support in our research projects. I will end on this note: The PACC stands strong, but I also wish that the YCO will cooperate more with its South American members. Both organisations can only grow with mutual cooperation."

I'm happy Mandrake is on the list, hes quite new to the political environment and he only had around 6-7 months to prove how great he was

He can only grow higher in the list from now on :P

Italy will veto the sale of Palmaria for Venezuela.

Argentina will take in consideration the Italian position, but since at least 50% of the vehicule is of Argentinian origin, we consider we are free to decide what we do with our equipment.

The equipment is still lent to Venezuela and the purchase will only depend on Italian counteroffers.

I mean, if the sale is confirmed Italy won't provide the parts produced here, so you would be basically selling him the chassis. Of course everything can be negotiated.

Unless you come during the night to take out the turrets from their chassis, you can't pull that argument
