North Armatas wrote:
Letters to the Throne 2

Walking down the Sandstone Corridors of the Fortress Monastery it took her a while to get back from the outer Ringwall to her Office in the Central Keep. In the Yard a few Crusaders were exercising. She pushed open the Wooden Door and stepped inside her Office. Her sparsely furnished Office greeted her with Silence, no electronics were humming and the thick walls blocked most of the outside sounds. A few Drawers and Shelves were in the Room but the Central Piece was her large Table. Most of the Furniture and Doors here were made from Wood that came from the Akharan Islands. The Large Table looked considerable darker and beaten up. Due to it being carved from wood specifically imported from the Cold Island of Armatas it was suffering under the heat. But she still liked the oak table, not the least of which being that it could be used as a bludgeoning weapon, though that would require strength beyond a normal Person, a group she didn't count herself among. She sat down and began to pen a letter to Jan-Florian, asking him to visit her Personally, whilst she was asking nicely, refusing someone with at least a Regiment of heavily armed Fanatics trained in Guerrilla Warfare and Infiltration at her back and call didn't seem like the wisest of choices. Of course she would send him all the help she could muster so he would safely make it the Fortress. She called for the Spähmeister (responsible for intelligence gathering, reconnaissance, spying, etc) and her Ordensmarshall (Leader of the Troops), ordered them to make Jan-Florians Journey as easy and safely as possible and made them Clear that if this important Guest was harmed in some way during his way to their Fortress she would have their Heads for it. The Marshall was considerably less impress by that threat, several scars on his neck showing previous encounters with such threats, but he swore that the Mission would be accomplished without fail.

Friently

And so Erna's letter found its way to the outside of the Southern Wall of Friently. With a couple of phonecalls to some officials confirming some things the letter was accepted by the guard and onwards its journey went. All the way from the far southeast end of the Empire it travelled by rail, by zeppelin and by car to the Empires capital, to the place of Jan-Floris var Friently's stationing.

He woke up in the morning for the briefing for his next mission, a Italitopian Cruiser had washed ashore, and strange things were afoot, he and his partner Hendrik-Jan were to go there to investigate. On the way back from briefing he walked by the mailbox abd found in it a letter. The markings on it told him what he needed to know and a form of excitement entered him as he read over its contents.

In it she asked him to visit her, excited as he was he knew that there would be one problem; actually crossing the border. After all the Empire didn't exactly have an open door policy. If he was caught trying to cross the wall he'd be executed for treason. And crossing through the nuclear desert results in death for obvious reasons. And so he decided to go to the ones that allowed him to be in this position in the first place.

With his phone he sent a message to the secret number that was given to him if he ever needed to meet them.
Taking a bus to the northern part of the city he entered the alley the number responded with. "So, Jan-Floris, you have come to us at last. What is it you desire?" A mysterious yet somehow familiar voice said.

"I received a letter from Erna, the girl that your device helped me meet, she now asks me to go to her so we can meet face to face" Jan-Floris explained "Ah? The number two at last wishes to go meet his fated number one? And you wish for us to help you in making this happen don't you?" The voice responded with a laugh. "Y-yes i wish for you and your organisation to arrange for this, i have no other way" "Very well then, Jan-Floris var Friently, tonight you will embark on your journey south"

"Tonight? So soon? I have a job to do with the MVF, i'd need to say something to my family" he said in surprise "Fear not for all will be taken care of. All that you need to worry about is what you will do for us in the future. So write your messages, pack a suitcase and be ready to leave tonight here at 7pm sharp" the crackle of a microphone was heard followed by silence.

It was going fast now, very fast and didnt give him much time. But he had no choice, if not now he might not get another chance. So he returned to the base to collect the things he needed, and return the old equipment he had. All he kept from it was the pistol that carried him through the nightmare war.

He made his preparations and before long it was 7pm and found himself at the alley once more. A car stopped in front of it and the backdoor swung open. Jan-Floris took a deep breath and entered the vehicle. "Who are you" he asked the man in the front seat. "My name does not matter, I was given order to bring you to the airport and so i will" the man spoke with authority and brunt, asking for anything would be useless.

Around half an hour later the car arrived at a small hangar at the capitals main airfield. "End of ride, your plane is here" the man said with a voice implying Jan-Floris best leave. "Uhm, thanks i guess" as he stepped out of the car he saw the plane and it too felt... familiar somehow. It was an older plane, old-world, not many of those around but he didnt think too much about it, a secret organisation is sure to have some strange equipment.

He entered the plane and like expected the inside was empty, the cockpit door sealed. Not long afterwards the plane was taken to the runway and even shorter after it took to the skies. Looking out the window at the lands below he got to thinking. Thinking about how he got to this point, whether he had made a mistake. But ultimately he decided that this person, this woman that was able to get a connection with him, was worth the risk.

After several hours of flight, near mightnight, the plane landed at the Port Zei airfield. For the first time in the flight the pilot spoke via the intercom telling him that it was time to move to the next vehicle. Like a ball in a flippermachine he was passed back and forth from vehicle to vehicle. He was glad that it was night, for the heat of the Port Zei desert area was a notoriously known fact throughout the Empire. A small military scout helicopter was waiting for him, the last bit of his journey.

In the back he put on the headphones hanging from the cabin roof, a requirement for open side helicopters to be able to hear other people. The helicopter flew ever more south. Through the headphones he suddenly heard the mysterious voice once more "you'll be on final approach now, after landing you should be found by her people soon enough-" in the distance Jan-Floris saw the wall come closer and closer "ehm i don't wish to impose or question but eh.. the wall is coming awfully close, and its not there to let vehicles just pass, especially unidentified ones" "worry not, we told you before that there is nothing to worry about" he watched with his heart in his throat as they went closer and closer, expecting the loud woosh of an approaching missile to be the last he'd ever hear.

However they passed it just like it wasn't even there. "I told you you'd be fine, the Organisation has their ways" He watched in unbelief as none has ever attempted to cross illegally and live to tell the tale. The rest of the flight passed in peace too, and soon after the helicopter descended and made its approach to a landing zone. A group of people in foreign vehicles awaited him.

He once more took a deep breath, put on his hat and exitted the helicopter. "Greetings fine.. people, i have arrived at long last"

Ways to Get Involved

Now that you have cleared the basics, you must be looking for things to do. Below are some of the opportunities TNP offers.

  • Join the Executive Staff: The equivalent of TNP's Civil Service, the Executive Staff is a group of residents and citizens that are employed to assist one or more of the Ministries of the Executive Government. It is ideal both for new residents who want to gain experience in how the government operates, and for experienced citizens who are looking to contribute to the region through the Executive.

  • Enlist in the Militia: The North Pacific Army Militia is for people who wish to contribute to the North Pacific Army but for whatever reason, likely because they cannot/do not want to have a forum or Discord account, cannot be members of the regular Army in the Auxiliary or Special Forces branches.

  • Get involved in the World Assembly: Joining the World Assembly (WA) is one of the best ways to empower your nation, especially in TNP. Thanks to our WA Development Program, as a WA member you can determine international laws, have one of the highest endorsement counts in the entire game, and even win awards!

  • Get involved in RolePlay: We have not one, but two vibrant RolePlay (RP) universes, Eras and Strangereal. Each comes with its own map, chronology, and physics laws. If you commit to being active in RP, you can claim a spot in either universe's map, and join others in weaving stories about your nation and its role in the world.

  • Get involved in trading cards: Our regional cards guild provides many resources you can take advantage of to increase the value of your deck, including several offerings of free cards. As a member of the guild, you can also participate in many other cards-related activities, including themed collections, pull events, and regular publications.

I see... well, is there going to be a replacement server? If not, may I ask where we are meant to go now? What will fill the void formerly filled by the functions of that server?

Nothing, we will all go to the void. The best place to go after going to brazil.
