Of the toads wrote:Breaking NEWS!

Settle down kids. Ahem. This mic workin? Ok, so it has come down to this final choice. There isnt a real IRL major issue arisen that means I have to step away there is just questions the past few months since I came back from my L.O.A that I found the answers through. I went on a quest a journey I have never been very aggressive since 2013 I have floated through life. The loss hurt, yes. Losing your first love is a tragic thing. But I tried to refill the void left, Ive trying lots of things.  Nationstates started out as one of those things with The Nation of Froggy. I later attempted to subvert the system, with toads letting froggy cte and coming back. no trace of my former self unimportant people come and go in this game a lot. but as toads I saw the pacific as family they accepted me my trollish ways. I found a family here. I slowly with Rep Riverpond shing (even tho he hated me in the beginning) I cant name them all but we changed the rmb from just a haven of stat postings and newbie questions. Dispite noxy's anti new rmb toads sought for more. Then Flanderlion talked me into getting in to the npo skype, from there I met another facet of NPO because I met more family. Slowly gaining the then Consul's Aleisyr confidence I strove for the Laythe governorship. When I got it I legit was beyond happy. no one knew what that meant. I turned Laythe in to an innovator. We were the anti spam province we were the family province I wanted a place in the NPO that made newbies feel the way I did when I joined. Again changing the face of the Rmb making recruitment messages the normal.  Other governors followed. It was great. Then.... I fell into a pit of choices IRL. where passions meet. and work was crazy. and I missed Mrs toads and negative behaviors ensued again. Toads is like the Dr Who of IRL I run and I run alot. but in October I stopped run and faced this demon on head long. and Ive been making progress. because its a Juice Box. (toads irl inside joke) Its been a Pleasure serving the pacific and the people in it. never has one group of plebs  helped toads see what life can truly be. Thank you Pacific for three (well almost) Years of family. I know a lot of the other regions and people now... Toads could have never made it there. dispite what they say.. The NPO is built for toads. personal thanks. to JS. for you ongoing friendship. you are truly mature beyond your years. Burthnas. Mini toads if you ask me. Keep your head on straight you have fun but stay grounded. Perg. We disagreed on some much about what the NPO may be but your passion actually is what helped my final answer. The npo is in good hands just never forget there is always a bigger fish. leadership isnt about always being the biggest and best its about persistence and sticking to what works dont let the glitz and glamour sidetrack you from the reason its here. Ale. you truly are prob the best person I have met not named yuno in this game. How you are outside of the public toads wonders about... but evil Ale was never seen its amazing cause toads is the best in the worlld at what he does. The other two senators. KAre and VAn... gentlemen it was an honor to cross blades with you. kare your jesting nature is great. stay focused tho. Van, ponder more. The simplest thing could some times be the most deepest if you dont over look it. I could go on but i think the point has been made. I will leave how I came. TOADS IS THE BEST. and Toads runs these streets. My skype and discord will go dark for a bit as I become inactive to enjoy my time. If you need me drop a line Ill answer. I will understand leaving means some of us part ways but I am never truly gone. HAIL TOADS BITCHES!

Good luck comrade. I'm waiting for your return. It's fun to see you argue with Riverpond. Don't forget us

Welcome to NS and The Pacific. Probably the best tip I can provide is to read everything that you can about the game, since this is a text-based game. ;)

I have a new player guide here and here (same information in each, but specific to different regions). BTW, I can make a version that is specific to The Pacific if the region would like.

My condolences Wes. I am afraid that there is nothing I can do, I just hope that you take yourself enough time to mourn - you will need it. The dead cannot heal, but the gaps they leave behind hurt the living, now you are the one that must undergo a healing process. Take any time you need, it sucks.

Don't click if you don't wanna here Shing rant about america's election process.

I really think the Electoral college should be removed. It takes away from what the main message America tries to send. Every man or woman is equal? Every vote counts? That's just kinda hypocritical to have a system where first of all, votes in lesser populated states are worth more than votes highly populated states, and second of all, what's the use of democratic votes in Texas/Alaska or republican votes in California. I want to at least distribute the proper amount of electoral votes to each state and make the electoral votes proportional to the people's vote not all or nothing.

The electoral college takes into account the population. It wouldn't make sense if Wyoming had just as many whites and Texas because there are less people.

The electoral college is an illogical, undemocratic, and outdated system, which the Founding Fathers originally created to prevent the uneducated from voting for the wrong candidates. It also grants certain states a greater vote than they should have, simply because they are swing states. Why would you possibly want it to remain?
