ÖNP Fractures!

Leaders of the Österreichische Nationale Partei have announced today that, due to ideological differences within the dominant party, it has split in two. The largest split off and the part that retains a majority in Parliament is the Österreichische Konservative Partei. The party holds on to the ÖNP’s ideals of Nationalism, support for the Kaiser, Conservative values, and Imperial Glory. The other split of is the Nationale Linkspartei, which is based around former liberals, progressives, and some libertarians focused on giving more power to the Parliament and Chancellor and safeguarding civil rights. This party is expected to but heads in competition with the Solidaritätspartei, which is made up of social democrats, socialists, and syndicalists, although the SP appears to only have support in parts of the Basin Region.

The Kaiser has authorized for 4 Mechanized Divisions to be sent, a submarine squadron to assist Verben, and the Luftwaffe to begin strikes.

It’s a coastal state. It borders Erkadia and has the largest coastline.
