REGIONAL GOVERNMENT

The Union of Allied States is a federalist democracy that most closely resembles the United States and the United Kingdom. The administration of the region, which functions as a semi-presidential democratic republic, is flourishing. Everybody who has spent at least 30 days in the region participates actively in regional governance.

EXECUTIVE

The Executive Branch is headed by the President, who is elected by the people (citizens) every six months. To oversee government operations, formulate policies, and uphold the law, they select a Cabinet and serve with a Vice-President. The role of the Governor/Regent, a non-political position, is to maintain stability and ensure that the region is secure and operating in accordance with the Constitution.

LEGISLATIVE

The Senate and the House of Representatives are the two chambers that make up Congress, also referred to as the Legislative Branch. All Senators are elected every four months using the Hare Quota System, and the Senate Majority Whip serves as the Senate's chair. All citizens who have been in the region for at least 30 days are eligible to serve in the House of Representatives, provided they are not the Vice-President, a Senator, a Judge, or a puppet of another resident. The Speaker, who leads the House, is elected every three months.

JUDICIAL

There is a four-court advisory system in the Union of Allied States' legal system. The majority of cases are heard by the Regional High Court, which is the highest court in the land. It is the highest court, has four Justices, hears all appeals, renders advisory opinions, and has original jurisdiction over a wide range of matters. The Regional Low Court (which handles civil affairs) and all Inferior Courts and Tribunals (which handle military, spy and other various jurisdictions) are the other courts making up the system.

CONSTITUTION

The Union of Allied States' highest law is the Constitution. In addition to outlining how the government is meant to function, it contains a set of universal freedoms and rights. It is heavily influenced by the United States Constitution, although it is also based on a number of other texts as well.

REGIONAL LAWS

The laws of the Union of Allied States are diverse. The President issues Executive Orders, Congress passes laws known as "Acts," and the courts provide binding decisions that make up the "common law." Since the rules in the region are consistently enforced and apply to everyone equally, please get familiar with them.

You must register all of your nations if you have more than one in the Union of Allied States, a nation in one of our associate regions, or you main WA nation is in another region.

Please telegram Korovan with (1) your primary nation and (2) your additional/puppet nation(s) if you have more than one and the aforementioned guidelines apply to you.

| GETTING INVOLVED

There are several ways to become involved with the region; the more you do, the more fun you will have!

Twice a year, the Freedom Fighters get together to take part in the N-Day events! By the end of every N-Day, we have consistently placed in the top 10 factions by raw size and at least in the top 20 as the highest scoring factions! Even though N-Day only happens twice a year and lasts for a single day each time, everyone has a great time, and our faction continues to be one of the most powerful. We communicate and collaborate on the Regional League for all of our N-Day activities.
