For purposes of archival integrity, all parts are given as is, uncensored. Editor's note: The other known identity of the Emperor, Kasren Vereyn, has his own page here.
Corinne Vereyn
Corinne Vereyn is one of the two known identities of the Emperor of Cosmicium, the other one being Kasren Vereyn. Corinne Vereyn is believed to have separated as an identity of the Emperor of Cosmicium on the 31st of January 1072918, when the Automated Personifier incident caused a spatial disruption, turning most of the people inside into unrecognizable abominations, some apparently moved into higher dimensions. The only person to come out, with the appearance of a young woman, who reportedly called herself "Corinne Vereyn", was eventually found to be a perfect match to the Kasren Vereyn, the Emperor of Greater Cosmicium.
Personal life and appearance
As with Kasren Vereyn, Corinne Vereyn is a half-human and half-Khaazai, with all the attributes of such a mixed-race human. She has a light skin tone, light blue eyes, light brown hair, and stands 179 cm tall.
Corinne Vereyn can be considered an opposite of Kasren Vereyn in some contexts: as Kasren is a rude and brash person using loudness and swearing to get opponents to submit, Corinne is a polite, highly charismatic sweet-talker, capable of charming even the most vehement opponents of hers. What the charisma isn't used for however, is making lasting relationships, either political or social ones; Corinne makes and breaks deals with other politicians at her own whim, seemingly with no apparent reason other than to further her own goals, friendships with her usually last less than a day, and the number of people she has romanced could only be fit on a 500-page book in 10 point font. Many of her former political allies often find themselves backstabbed (sometimes literally) after having their cooperation broken with Corinne.
Corinne's charismatic personality also reflects in some of her political views - unlike Kasren, she is a radical pacifist, leading to false rumors that Corinne Vereyn is about to dismantle the entire Cosmician military and replace Cosmicium's military bases with flower fields (or something)!
Corinne Vereyn notably lacks much of the formality expected of an Emperor, preferring to meet with government officials in public parks and dining establishments, refusing to wear the imperial dress specifically made for her to rule in, rarely even wearing formal dress unless needed, and showing a general commoner attitude towards Cosmicium's issues. Wherever possible, Corinne wears a T-shirt and jeans, or a casual dress, sometimes with a jacket, something considered unusual for someone of status as high as Corinne is.
Corinne has an interest in elemental and magical arts, and is highly proficient in them herself, especially in fire magic, which she used to light up Nyr-Khol's sky with drawings using colored flames. This does come at a cost however, as many of Cosmicium's chocolate statues were melted when Corinne performed in more terrestrial settings.
Combat capability
Corinne Vereyn, like any Emperor of Greater Cosmicium, is not expected to, and is actually forbidden from fighting in a war. However, if it becomes necessary, Corinne can tap into her vast list of magical abilities, even larger than that of Kasren's, to defend herself if needed. If confronted in melee combat, she can summon a
two-handed firesword that lacks any mass and can cut through most materials like a laser.Althroxh Anomaly (Tier VII) (5075 magic): Creates an entrance to an Althroxh, a superdimensional space that throws off magical jammers, decreases the effectiveness of shields, absorbers and overmagic by 1 tier, and makes certain offensive spells such as Pocket Hellfire and Neither World stop working (applies only to the enemy, the caster of the Althroxh is unaffected)
Counter Spellshield VI (Tier VII) (2130 magic/s): For the time of activation, all inbound tier VII-VIII spells are fully absorbed, all tier VI and lower spells are reflected back in the direction of the caster
Neither World (Tier VI) (2344 magic): When activated, for the next 60 seconds all psychic/magical enemy units without at least a tier IV overmagic device or a tier V shield in a range of 362,157 km are permanently stripped of magical ability, the essences of enemy souls being absorbed into the user's soul to further strengthen the user
Sun Mirror (Tier VI) (1168 magic/s): Creates a powerful beam from the sun that can be accurately fired at the enemy (120,000 DMG after 1 second of firing), and can even destroy planets (250,000,000,000 DMG after 30 seconds of firing). Only works in the presence of sunlight.
Arcane Turbocharger III (Tier VI) (1892 magic): Increases magic regeneration 10-fold, triples magic capacity, increases the effectivity of all spells by 1 tier, and cancels out tier VIII and below anti-magic spells for 120 seconds
Pocket Hellfire (Tier V) (592 magic/s): Fires a 10 km wide beam of Hellfire in a range of 1,000,000 km, vaporizing everything in its path (Instant Destruction of everything not spatially shielded).
Invaders from Beyond (Tier V) (670 magic/s): Temporarily summons an army of higher-dimensional entities for 10 seconds, per second cast, with extra damage potential and ability to slip into higher dimensions to avoid enemy fire
Great Robot Horde (Tier IV) (310 magic/s): Summons 120,000 tier II Combat Automatons every second the spell is fired (Combat Automaton laser beam causes 20,000 DMG/s to target).
Planetary Confusion (Tier IV) (260 magic/s): Causes all non-psychic enemy units in a 10,000 km radius to become confused and start fighting each other.
Reinforcement Storm (Tier IV) (770 magic): Automatically creates five allied armies to help out Corinne.
Great Collapsing Hole (Tier V) (710 magic/s): Creates a 1 km black hole that pulls in all non-allied entities, then turns into a white hole, causing 2,500 damage for every tonne of enemy pulled in.
Dimensional Shield (Tier IV) (320 magic/s): Creates a dimensional shield, 100 meters in diameter, that blocks all damage from conventional, energy, plasma, temporal, and Hellfire weapons.
Corinne Vereyn can use tier I, II, III, all other IV and V spells.
Random trivia
• Corinne Vereyn has the largest collection of dresses in all of Greater Cosmicium, with a total of 3,097 dresses, the twist is, all but 16 of them are slightly recolored variants of the dress Corinne is wearing in the portrait.
• The above collection is supplemented by the largest collection of shoes, at 6,592 pairs, of note: 200 are boots of identical design with 10 different heights and 20 useless color variations, 1,024 are literally the same pair of shoes down to the atom, 442 don't even fit Corinne, exactly 17 pairs that Corinne actually likes, mostly sandals and light sneakers, one was destined for a statue around 20 times larger than Corinne, it goes on and on...
• You'd think I'd also tell you about Corinne having the largest collection of jeans and T-shirts too, coincidentally the same things she likes to wear most, but surprisingly she keeps their numbers under control; Corinne Vereyn has "just" 15 pairs of jeans and around 70 T-shirts of various designs, sometimes paired with one of her many jackets.
• Alright, enough gossip about Corinne's space-defying wardrobe and makeup; Corinne Vereyn accidentally burned down one of Cosmicium's chocolate statues with an unattended lighter, only the gods know how the statue ignited.
• Corinne invited 364 of her closest friends to her birthday party. Including Corinne, only 18 have returned yet. The Cosmician Land Force is still searching for the 347 missing people.
• While playing a football match, Corinne kicked the ball a bit too hard, blasting it back in time to the 2014 World Cup where it scored a goal for Argentina and screwed Germany's chances at victory.
• Corinne's fire-magic performance in Nyr-Khol caused a whole universe to disappear, because of the energy requirements of keeping a stable fire structure. The disappearance was only noticed when the crew of an inter-universal mining operation all vanished without a trace.
