The Kingdom of Pyremark is a mammoth, orderly nation, ruled by King Matthijs X with an iron fist, and notable for its public floggings, ubiquitous missile silos, and enslaved workforce. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 9.468 billion Pyremarkers are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, with Law & Order also on the agenda. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Leiderplaats. The average income tax rate is 95.3%.

The enormous but underdeveloped Pyremarkian economy, worth a remarkable 1,242 trillion Pyremark Francs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 131,244 Pyremark Francs, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

The army lives rent-free in foreigners' heads and houses, the practice of capital punishment proves divisive, parole hearings come with a complimentary ten-year extension, and the military conducts 'training exercises' in prisons. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Pyremark's national animal is the Red fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Atheism.

Pyremark is ranked 278,583rd in the world and 1st in Authoritaria Reborn for Largest Cheese Export Sector, scoring -5.51 on the Mozzarella Productivity Index.
