The Dominion of Codruul is a titanic, safe nation, ruled by Aricona with an even hand, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, state-planned economy, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate population of 14.86 billion Codruulians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 58.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Codruulian economy, worth 766 trillion aulas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Retail, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is 51,550 aulas, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

RPG fans reminisce fondly about when people thought they were evil and dangerous rather than geeky and socially inept, an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents, Codruul has been recently classified as an international menace after 'liberating' several nearby territories, and physics lessons mostly involve talking about emotional management techniques. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Codruul's national animal is the dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Codruul is ranked 281,569^th in the world and 15,321^st in Lazarus for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 21,238.91 Standard Monetary Units.
