I shall be remembering those Canadians who fought and died for their British kith and kin may our Commonwealth cousins forever prosper under the Union Jack of our motherland.
here lays a Son of Canada from Halifax, Quebec city, Montreal, Toronto, Victoria et.c
may the rest in peace lest we forget
I am not actually Canadian however I did have a relative who fought at Pearl Harbor and was on the U.S.S. Pennsylvania not to mention all my other relatives who fought in the armies of Britain,Canada,Australia,New Zealand,South Africa,Rhodesia, etc.
Unfortunately, all the members of my family whom went to war have never returned.

So the British Labour Party just committed suicide...
Kingdinium, United kingdom of kent, and Canada and newfoundland
They never do learn their lesson, do they? I suspect 2020 and, more than likely, 2025 will be repeats of 1983 and 1987. Indeed, I hope they are.
Labour seems to think, "Britain voted Tory because Labour wasn't left-wing enough". That vast election decider, "Middle England", doesn't do left-wing.
Yes, I suspect we shall see another decade of Conservative governance...
serves them right for stabbing the empire in the back them bloody traitors
Harold Macmillan, Conservative Prime Minister 1957–1963, oversaw the independence of 11 former colonies, including South Africa, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana, Cyprus and Jamaica to name a handful. If you include Kenya (which became independent 2 months after Macmillan's retirement but nevertheless negotiated and orchestrated its independence under his premiership) then you get 12; that's one less than Harold Wilson, Labour Prime Minister 1964–1970 & 1974–1976.
It's true that most former colonies became independent under Labour governments but make no doubt: the freight train started rolling under Conservative stoking. (Despite popular misconception, the Conservatives viewed the remnants of Empire as burdensome by 1960).
God Save The Queen?

Kingdinium and Canada and newfoundland
I support Rhodesia after all you guys gave your lives for the Union Jack in two world wars.
we also suffered greatly for the Empire during both wars also I find it very offensive that prime minister Lester Parson altered the national flag of Canada in 1965 especially because many of our brave men and boys lost their lives fighting for the Red duster which explains why I use it as opposed to the current maple leaf.
greetings from Ireland ^^
