Also, Britania, please don't get me wrong, I think the idea is incredibly creative and clever, I just think it restrains people too much.

Chapter One
- Downtown Paradizna -

The streets were packed with cars as they usually were at this time of day. The constant sound of running engines and honking plagued the cold, afternoon air. The snow fell gently. But then again, when wasn't there snow in Arrstotzka? I sat in the back seat of the car, staring out of the window, at all of the office buildings and skyscrapers. The world seemed so calm, I had almost forgotten where I was. But, my attention was stolen from the world outside of the car when the driver, Mr. Hedvor, said "Lieutenant, we should be arriving shortly, hopefully the traffic won't slow us down too much." "No need to worry, Mr. Hedvor." I simply replied. Suddenly, as I had come back to reality, I had remembered what I was doing. This was going to be one of the most important meetings of my life. I was meeting with the High Commander of the Army, for God's sake! In a short rush of stress and panic, I looked myself over, made sure I was prepared, and checked my hair. Like I said, this was one of the most important meetings of my life. And I didn't plan on going in, looking like an amateur.

In the front, right seat, next to Mr. Hedvor, sat a tall, well-built, man who wore a charcoal-black suit. He had been stationed to watch and protect me, just in case anything were to happen. Luckily, nothing ever did. In the middle seat was my hat that I had placed when I got in the car about half-an-hour earlier. Sooner or later, the car pulled over to the parking lane and stopped in its place in front of the Ministry of Defense building. The building was a beautiful four-story office, each level had a balcony in the center with large columns. There was a wide staircase that led to the front door. Each floor also had chiseled ledges that were very pleasing to the eye. At the front doors stood four men, dressed in Honor Guard uniforms. Each of the men held a Mosin Nagant at their side.

Before opening my door, I quickly grabbed my hat. I then pulled the small, chrome lever to open the door. While getting out, I tried my best to not let any snow get inside the car. However, the wind had other things in mind. I took my hat from my side, at which I had been holding it, and placed it on my head. My bodyguard emerged from the front seat, as I waved goodbye to Mr. Hedvor, and he waved back.

As the car left the parking lane, and merged itself into the continuing traffic. I turned away from the road, and looked at the building. I wanted to walk in, but curiosity and interest prevented me from doing so. For a moment, all I did was stare at the front of the office. But it did not take long for my bodyguard to grow impatient. "Lieutenant, should we be on our way?" He said, breaking me out of my trance. "Yes, of course." I answered. And with that, we began to walk towards the entrance, after making our way up the stairs, two of the guards stepped forward and opened the doors for us as they all saluted in unison. The foyer room of the Ministry was warm, the walls were made of shining polished mahogany. In the center of the room was a desk with two men in uniforms behind it. And behind them was a metal detector and security checkpoint. My bodyguard and I walked towards the metal detector which was being run by two men and a woman, all wearing officers uniforms.

I went through the process first. Before walking through the metal detector, I dug my hand into the pocket inside of my jacket, and scooped out my ID card, and handed it to the woman, who then ran it swiftly across a small scanner that had both a red and green light above it. As soon as she lifted the card, one of the lights flashed green. The woman handed me back my ID card with a smile, where I then strolled through the massive, metal porte cochere. One of the security workers waved me by before doing the usual salute. The bodyguard went through the same process, except, he seemed to take more time with his turn.

After walking up three flights of stairs, we found ourselves in a hallway. About an hour earlier, I remember when I was being given instructions as to how to get to the High Commander's office. I repeated the words again and again in my head. 'Go up to the top floor, once you're there, take a left, and then take a right, and then one more left.'

I then successfully navigated my way to my destination. I saw two, very tall men, once again dressed in Honor Guard uniforms, standing by the doors. They both stepped to the side to open the doors for us.

And there he was. Jorji Nutevska, the High Commander of the Army.

He sat at his desk, focused on a small stack of paperwork. I turned to the man who had been assigned to guard me, and nodded. That was his queue to go an wait outside. I was very nervous, I even rehearsed doing something as simple as the standard salute. I threw my right arm against the top of my chest. It was only now that he looked up at me.

"Lieutenant Belkin." He said with a joyful tone, "Do take a seat." Speechless, I lowered my arm, and did as I was told. I took the small chair in front of his desk. I sat up straight, and placed my hat on the arm of my chair.

"It's an honor to meet you, sir." I spoke

Yeah. This is the official RP history, but feel free to write a personal backstory if you want to go into detail on making your fictional country. However remember that during official RP's it will be disregarded. It is basically your own personal work only

The united republic of desfonas wrote:I also asked, how do we determine population?

Same as it is officially on your nation main page.

SOMEWHERE OVER MEXICO, CORPORAL JOHN MATTHEWS

The stars had always fascinated me. The fact that they were just a reflection and so far away always made we want to see them more. Heh, I never did figure why knowing I could never get something, go somewhere, always made me more determined to do it. I never really cared about it until I joined the marines. There, I learned to embrace it. Every time I saw someone do better at shooting, at running, at anything, I trained until I beat them, and I always beat them. This was my first mission. It seems pretty simple, go in, neutralize the enemy, secure the area, hold said area until backup arrives, nothing me and my team can't hand...

STOMP!!!!

Maybe I should stop thinking and pay attention to the mission.

The fall felt exactly how you'd think falling from a 30,000 foot high up plane in a giant metal suit would feel. It hurt like hèll. "Matthews? Matthews if you're dead in there I swear to god..." Radioed my squad commander, Lieutenant Lisa Tucker. "I'm fine LT. Well, better than you'd expect I should say." I radioed back. "As long as you can shoot straight, no one cares if you left your head back on the plane." Chimed in sergeant Tomas Ford, in his usual smoker style voice. And while he was a heavy smoker, he was also heavily irradiated when he grew the short straw from the pile. "Ok, that was just bad, you really got to come up with better analogys." Countered Lance Corporal Cody Gordon. "Alright, everyone shut up, We have our orders, and I intend to get them done so we can all go home and get some rest." We all agreed, and set off towards our target, a military base codenamed "The Bunker."

(OOC: Yay, my first first person view post! Long story short, marines land, are now on way to silence major enemy base.)
