Yeah, I dunno about that. Most of our early arrivals seem pretty suspicious, being refounded and all. People like to refound puppets from Z-day.

True dat

The amount of recent arrivals is absolutely freaking ridiculous.

Two of which have posted on the RMB, and neither of them much.

True, but only one is of major concern. The rest seem too small to be of worry. Another large nation, though...

Well, have we been on a hit list before?

Not to my knowledge, but it wouldn't surprise me.

This. If you do not have citizenship on the offsite regional forum, it really only takes a five-minute visit to http://w11.zetaboards.com/NWP/topic/10675598/1/ to submit a very basic application, and the vetting process is quick and painless.
If you are not a member of the Regional Senate on the offsite regional forum, it only takes an expression of your desire to join posted to http://w11.zetaboards.com/NWP/topic/10671093/1/, followed by two endorsements by sitting Senators (easy) and approval by the Speaker.
If you are a Senator and have not yet voted on the resolution to appoint our Minister of Foreign Affairs, please exercise your privilege: http://w11.zetaboards.com/NWP/topic/10673338/1/
If you have already voted for the aforementioned appointment, please give yourself a huge pat on the back :)

Technically, you did: "bias free news sources" :) It would be nice if such a thing existed, but alas, news is reported by people and people have biases, no matter how hard they work to suppress them.

Seb, I'm with Damanucus on this. Vigilance is not unwarranted, but it's not yet time to panic.

Uhhh, Wochik, ever heard of a newspaper called "Правда"? It's right in the name - trustworthy, unbiased news.

And I thought the rumors of a Russian news networks preaching a 'New World Order' that's trying to kill Russia were myths...

Although seriously does anyone know a decent news source? Or should I just keep spamming articles off Google news?

I do believe Pravda, the newspaper he's referring to, was the Soviet newspaper.

National Public Radio is good if you're American, otherwise I don't know.

Honestly, your best bet is using multiple sources for your news consumptions. I go with:

* CNN- an alright primary news source pretty broad without too much depth.
* BBC- another alright primary news source... they are really good with their international news coverage.
* NPR- I listen to Morning Edition every morning. Not a good primary news source, but they hit some interesting high points.
* VICE News- not a good primary news source, but they cover stories that other sources miss or over look. And whenever they cover a topic they go pretty in depth. Their stuff is always interesting.
* I will occasionally hit up Fox News and MSNBC to look at domestic political news, whenever I am bored. They are both blatant about their bias, so it is easy to pick out. It is more for entertainment value, though.

If you want to be a true PoliSci hipster you could look at Al Jazeera, Russia Today, and Pravda, but it's sort of pointless if you are not in a place where other people can see you. ;)

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Al Jazeera and BBC International are both excellent sources for world news, with very good journalistic standards. You can also read the Reuters feed directly on their website, and it's pretty reliable; most of the "conventional" American sources pull almost all their news from Reuters and AP (and then filter and spin it, which doesn't contribute anything useful IMHO).

BBC pulls their fair share from Reuters as well. Is it sad that I never thought to look at Reuters directly?

You have a point about "conventional" American news sources. I have been losing patience with CNN lately. They have increased their number of pop culture and human interest stories. I mean, when I am looking at the news I am not interested in "stars now and then" and what's new this month on Netflix. It has been feeling more and more like a tabloid. What frustrated me was the fact that the Oscar Pistorius trial was their top news story while the Ebola outbreak, the Ukraine situation, and the advance of ISIS was going on.

I think I've settled on a new flag. I'm sure you were all on pins and needles waiting...

Yeah. I primarily use NPR for my news. I don't have cable, so I can't watch it on TV. I'm also too lazy to go to the websites and stuff, so I just listen to NPR, as it is fairly unbiased.

Looks awesome, could use some ripples though.

I switch between a variety of news channels to get my news and then I take each story with a grain of salt because I know the station could have done poor reporting or they could've done good reporting but gotten some information wrong.

I get news from fark a lot of times.
