Saint shem Your compromise is...acceptable. I would've preferred for the President of the Natan Region to administer the Natan Region's NRDF region as stipulated by the charter, but I understand that would be difficult considering the position would change every three months.

Sorry I was away, guys, I had to go out of state to visit family over the weekend.
I just finished catching up on the RMB, and I have a question. In real life, my father's a CO and we actually lived on an overseas military base for a few years when I was younger. I'm kind of interested in the military as a result, and if there's a new administrator position open I'd like to volunteer. The thing is, I'm already running for Congress. Would I still be allowed to be an administrator, or should I drop out of the race and apply for the position separately?
we could put different congressmen in charge of different areas. so ireland could be in charge of the military or nimphoran could be in charge of domestic affairs. but all congressmen would still have the power to propose bills regardless of which area there in charge of.
I suppose you could do both. Lets wait first, until a new charter is passed.
No, because the amount of congressmen will increase based on population. What happens when we have 20 people in Congress, and we need to find a position for all of them? Plus, its not in the constitution, and would violate the principles of separation of powers.

Hello everyone, I'm Nimphoran and I'm running for congressman of Natan. I personally believe that every nation residing in the Natan region should have as much say in our affairs as possible. I've stated most of my opinions in the previous presidential election where I lost 3/2 against current president Saint Shem. You can of course scroll back and see those but something that I really would like to get done is starting up a regional economy.

not every congressman needs to have a job. also the congressmen do not necessarily need to have absolute power in the area they are in charge of. they can work with a member of the executive branch to do their jobs. i guess it would be like a partnership between the executive and legislative branch
We'll see about letting a congressman have a second position in the cabinet in addition to, but independent of their congressman job, but I don't like the idea of Congress specifically being connected to the executive branch in such away. That's why I don't like parliamentary forms of government. The 3 branches of government should have checks and balances on each other, but should be 3 separate and equal branches of government.

Hello, Natan Region. I'll cut right to it. I'm a libertarian, so if you elect me to Congress you can be sure I'll minimize the power of the government in this region and keep from expanding beyond what is absolutely necessary. I believe in individual freedom and the right to national self-determination. As your representative, I will defend you from government tyranny and ensure your interests are put above that of faceless bureaucrats. A vote for Empress of Ireland is a vote for freedom of choice for all nations.

Guess I'll make my statment.
In case some of you missed my introduction when I first arrived in the region - I'm a classical/neo conservative. I follow the values of freedom and equal treatment for all and if elected I will carry these principles into my actions in government.
My first bill that I will introduce to the Natan Region Congress, is a law that will open the congressional forum to be public to all, inside or outside the region. Those that reside in the Natan Region should be able to watch what the government is doing in order to hold them to accountable. This also would shut down the opponents of the Natan Region from ever making the claim that because our government operates in secret, that we have something hide, that we are up to nefarious activities. This will make government overall more transparent.
I am also interested in endorsing the creation of an official Natan Region news outlet. I'm not interested in this news outlet in being run by the government, but instead would do it on the principle that the people of the Natan Region need to be aware of what their government is up to. This news outlet could offer the people of Natan just that and it would also serve as a watchdog agency to keep the government in line.
The next issue I would like to speak on is regional defense. It is of my understanding, after reading through the Regions RMB, that in the past, this region has not always been secure. For Example this Slarvainian was able to at one point control the region and its populace like some kind of plaything by using puppets. This will not happen again under my watch. I will be making it a personal goal of mine in guaranteeing the security of the Natan Region. The NRDF, after our President has sorted out the diplomatic dealings surrounding it, will have me as a devoted advocate in congress.
I hope that you, the people of the Natan Region, will feel that I am a good choice for congress. I know that I can do the job that needs to be done.
