Equalizer, why don't you go look around the GP forum for The Rejected Times. I've been a journalist with it for probably close to 2 years, possibly over 2 years, I don't really keep track. I've had at least 1 article in every issue since about issue #9.
Taijitu's Voice of The People hasn't been posted on the GP forums in a while, but once I become editor of it I intend to fix that. Here's one of my favorite issues from VotP, issue 2. It was originally posted as a pdf file, which is cool because the graphics work he did for it is awesome (http://tinyurl.com/votp2).
I've only just started writing for The Lazarene Gazette so you'll just have to wait until the next issue is released. But the most partriotic Lazarenes know all about The Lazarene Gazette. :)

What is the goal and point of this game?
To play.
There's no real goal to NationStates. Most players set their own goals. You can just answer issues, talk on the RMB, post on the NS forum if that's what you want to do. There is of course other aspects of the game one can participate in. Of course we do encourage players to register on the regional forum at http://s15.zetaboards.com/NSLazarus/index/ where one could get more involved with the region and the community. There's roleplay, military gameplay, regional government, etc. Feel free to check it out, explore the possibilities and decide what you want to do. :)

You can get the colour and holy one quite easily. Just put a colour and holy in your pretitle and wait for the issues. I put Holy Green Sheep and got both :P
The banners are harder to unlock, some of them have quite obscure descriptions. If you change your religion (i think) to Violet you get a big purple banner.
So how's everyone?
Well, your in a feeder region. If nations get reanimated here, probably citizens too.
Imagine the Halloween events then.
Are their going to be any more zombie attacks on Halloweens?
Who knows? Lazarus had the record for most zombies and most dead though, so its quite a party :D
