Hlad rises once more!
i just thought all eastern european culture was slav squatting and dance music
romania has nothing to do with anything slavic
romania does have a lot of turkish influences in a cultural/linguistic context :P
When i said i completed 7 units i meant 7 lessons
But i did just finish my unit 1 test so now im an entire week ahead of my class lol

absolutely no slavic influence
i'm not a patriotic person, so i don't mind you saying that stuff, but most romanians would be extremely annoyed at your comment
The flag is very Andorran ;)
you sure? looks very chadian to me c:
Lol, Eastern European =/= Slavic. Take Romania, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Albania,am I missing any?
>implying
Here in Romania, the American stereotype is a person who stereotypes everything. XD
Although 'Eastern Europe' is an area which is loosely defined. I've only heard Hungary/Poland/Slovakia/Czech Rep. be considered a part of it when talking about the Cold War. And Romania and Moldova are the only Balkan nations that we consider in Eastern Europe sometimes, with the rest below being southern.
I usually don't put former Yugoslav nations in the east, and I never put Greece in it.

Most of Eastern Europe is Slavic. The non-slavic are influenced by said slavic, however, (especially in the case of the Balkans) they are also heavily influenced by the Turkish.
Also Greece is not considered Eastern Europe, it's considered a part of the Western European sphere. As are Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Also, a more debateable statement, before the Ottomans rolled in, the Albanians were more Slavic based and then became more Turkish based. (This is how I view it, but feel free to disagree on that.) But even if they weren't Slavic before, they are heavily influenced by slavs. Hungary, although not slavic, are very slavic influenced. While of course keeping their own identity.
Well, I don't know about what you've learned and/or experiences, but Romanian has a really tiny (but noticeable) amount of Slavic words, and that's basically it. And the foreign textbooks can't change my pretty real life. :P
Turkey
Romania and Moldova are barely Balkan
I've been playing Destiny for like 3 days and I just got the Gjallarhorn
My friend that's been farming for it for months was furious XD
Yay I'm not so dead!
Hey everyone, thought I'd drop in and see how everyone's doing.
Wasn't saying the language was influenced, was saying the culture was. Language is only a part of culture. :P
It's funny how having a tiny finger in Europe makes you European. :D
I can see why you're saying that about Moldova, but Romania is a Balkan country through and through. Especially historically/politically.
Well, nothing was influenced. Although feel free to give concrete examples, I might be missing something. c:
