Phil, on our forum we have a tavern. Some of our members *cough* Dante and his buddies *cough* would occasionally commit random acts of violence that offended by delicate feminine sensibilities. One day Noctaurus proved his worth but designing and implementing and anti-violence grid (it uses artificial gravity) in the tavern whose control were linked to my watch. I am thus able at any point to activate a particular section of the grid to entrap and person or persons who is behaving out of line and stick them to the floor with a localized intense gravity field. Occasionally I extract promises to attend girly tea parties with me in order to become unstuck. It is all great fun. For me.

I dislike the term "abuse." I prefer the term "used for own personal enjoyment."
Careful though, artificial gravity is still a new technology. If you remember during testing it was dialed in a little bit high and the first few test subjects were crushed under the immense force put upon them. Worst of it all we lost a few good tables AND my favorite barstool. Damn thing was antique. Anyways it usaully works right now. Morale of the story, don't step outa line and you won't have to worry about silly things like "saftey" and "in humane punishment" or "brutal dismemberment" 😒

I watched "Into The Woods" as my New Year's Day movie and the best line in that entire film was, "I was raised to be charming, not sincere." Made my day.
