Ugh.... Long commutes for work stinks. I take the light rail train here in Mpls/St Paul, and as much as the 45 min ride kills my back (the seats are not the most comfortable), I have to remind myself some folk drive an hour to two hours in. Which is ridiculous in my mind, but sometimes you do what you have to do.

Nothing like having the sun rise during your morning commute and the sun set during your journey home.

That's fine in the winter Deidre! I am weighing my options, and choice number one is find a new job.

I have read that selling drugs can be lucrative... ;)

And also land you in government custody for extended periods wherein you will have a steady diet of...PENIS (if you're a guy). :P

That's deterrent for my heterosexual self.

The Jays are heading to KC for game 6. It would be nice if Marco Estrada could pitch again!

What a first game of the World Series!

I didn't see it. I lost interest rapidly after the Jays were eliminated.

I no longer need to worry about my place of employment moving 30 miles away. I got laid off on Tuesday. Maybe I should look at it as a birthday present.

Deidre come back! :)

I'm back--sorry about that!

Yay! Good to have you back.

This just above freezing rain sucks way worse than 10 degrees and snow. Way worse.

I agree. It's 1 degree Celcius here and raining, and it's bloody awful.

Looking for work just before Christmas is bloody awful as well!

Back when I lived in New England, in the winter we would often have snow in the morning, followed by just-above-freezing rain in the afternoon, turning all the ice into slush. It was miserable.

Where I lived in England we almost never had snow, but the temperature would hover just above freezing and it was very often damp. I still rode my motorcycle almost every day. I would only abandon it if there was snow or a risk of ice on the road.

Smoked the LA Kings last night. Happy dance!

Just wanted to wish everyone a very happy holidays/merry Christmas! Hope you all stay safe, that you tolerate that racist uncle, and that you get nice and toasty from drinking Tom & Jerry's around the fire. :)

And thumped the Avalanche. Nice.

Merry Christmas everybody!!

Merry Christmas FSoG!

Welcome Shanaplan. Love the name!

Thanks! Happy to be here.

Happy New Year everyone!

Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!
