Santamonia wrote:IC: As the world leaders of Helric, Sovern, Hedra, Phat Tai, Quing Nara, and Tritra arrive in Los Santos, they are escorted from LAX, through the downtown district of Los Santos, to the East Arcadian Heritage Convention, a complex of educational facilities that share, express, and preserve East Arcadian heritage. The building complex was built after the end of the last world war, where the remnants of Daguonesse artifacts and art were rescued and protected by the Santamonian government. The group of world leaders will discuss the peace talks in the "Handnyan Chamber", a conference room reserved, with complementary FIGI water bottles, and nacho bowls.

"Greetings, I would like to thank you all for coming, please make yourself comfortable..." Mario Levando offers the leaders their seats,

"...Let us begin the meeting with some understanding, the war is over, and everyone at this table are no longer enemies. We are individuals discussing a better future, so please have in mind the consequences that might befall on generations to come. Please lay down your claims, then we will turn to the next phase of the summit; negotiating."

IC: The King of Phat Tai speaks, "I am willing to split the former Pyingang with Tritra, they have the coastal territory, and we receive the interior, as according to historical claims dating back during the ancient Khmer Empire."

Quing Nara wrote:IC: Chairman Zhao nods, "The terms demanded by the Empire of Helric is acceptable, Quing Nara will pay war reparations to Hedra and Helric, so long as both parties recognize our claims to the remaining territory of the former Xitu-Fejian Clique. The Quing are the most culturally similar to the Daguonesse inhabitants, and out of all of the powers here, we have the closest and most realistic claim to the territory. We will recognize the handover of Naking and the exclave, so long as everyone recognizes the rest belongs to the People's Republic.

Helric wrote:Emperor Taishō II. stands the first before the leaders, and speaks loudly and clearly on what he desires.

"The city of Naking, and the exclave of Yukion-Bong will be ceded to the Empire of Helric. Considering that the government of Xitu-Fejian Clique doesn't exist anymore, it shall be Quing Nara's responsibility to pay war reparations to Helric, and Hedra."

Mario Levando lays a draft before the assembly of leaders, titled the "Treaty of Los Santos".

Treaty of Los Santos

  • All parties will also be prohibited from applying unilateral, or multilateral embargoes or blockades on either party for the duration of the truce.

    • The eastern coastline of Pyingang will be ceded to Tritra, under the pretense that a significant and large populations of Tritrans remain in the territory.

    • The interior valley will be ceded to the Kingdom of Phat Tai, considering their ethnic populations within the area.

    • The Hundo Mountains will act as the natural border between the territory controlled by Phat Tai and Tritra, and that their range will be divided equally, and beset as a buffer between the two jurisdictions.

  • All signatories to this treaty will remove their forces in foreign territories, and return them to their proper garrisons within their own jurisdictions; this applies to military-owned warships and aircraft.

Hello fellow Barbarians,

Today we have purged yet another minor threat to our glorious region, and with the help of the Domestic Affairs Minister and the Secretary-General, we were able to stomp out a ring of illegal puppets intending on manipulating the elections, but luckily we were able to stop them in their tracks. I know I have been mostly silent during my term, but that doesn't mean I wasn't working in the shadows, carefully monitoring our suspects. These coming waves will be a great cleanse, purifying the region of scum. I would like to see how my opponents can prove they're as capable, trustworthy, and integral as me. I want to remind everyone that my opponents gunning for the Defense Minister position do not have the integrity I have; a former tyrant whose used puppets to manipulate the elections for years, and a wildcard who uses dirty tactics and intimidation to get what he wants. Which is who? If you're a long-term resident of Barbaria, you'll know who I am talking about. Thank you.

I'm running for Defense Minister because I've noticed a lot of suspicious things going on, a lot of nations that look like puppets coming in. I noticed it and don't see much being done about it.

If you don't want to vote for me because of my past that's fine, that's your choice and your right. Chef don't judge. I honestly don't really expect to win. But I'm going to run anyway.

If you want to vote for a candidate that let's puppets flood in and doesn't do anything about it until the week of elections to do anything so as to use it as a political play, then go ahead and vote for the incumbent. If you want someone to actually put the security of the region ahead of politics then vote for Vostag. Or if you truly can't put my past in the past then vote for Tritra, I'm sure they could do a fine job too.

I find my opponent's claim to be rather interesting, considering their whole role as our former Chief Executive involved using puppets for political play, and even abused their position, when it was threatened by the demands of the general consensus. If I, and many others can recall, Vostag used their position to banject innocent nations, without a proper investigation, or means of due process. Does the general consensus today want someone whose used their position for their own personal gain and security? I wouldn't think so. My opponent here is a poor excuse for a protector, and will use their position again to bully innocent residents, and possibly use puppets again. For someone who claims to be in good intentions, has yet to made any report for suspicious illegal puppetry. Makes you think their claim is solely for political play.

As I said folks. I saw some strange goings on, I didn't see anything being done about it. I figure I can try to do something about it. If you do too then vote for me. If you can't move past my past that's fine, no issue with me, I can understand that and I suggest you vote for Tritra. Or if you like the way things are then vote for South Ajian Commonwealth. I mean just because it looks like nothing is being done doesn't mean it isn't. I'm not going to try and do the hard sell on this because I already figure my chances are slim, but I might as well try. The ultimate choice is up to you, the voting public.

IC: A New State (Prologue)

In the years that follow the humiliating defeat of the Humjin War, a new government forms in a coalition between the Yisrael Beiteinu and the Ataem parties, thus pushing out the Orthodox-dominate Likud party into an opposition. A reformed branch of Jadeism will take on a more moderate approach to domestic, and foreign policy. The new government aims to work with their neighbors, especially the greater international community, in aspects like trade and security. The newly-elected Prime Minister, Ezra Ben Schmitz-Yakov, plans on establishing a formal relationship with the Hyperborean Empire of Vostag, Sovern, and the rest of the Rodinian bloc...

IC: Empress Maria Elvira I's return to Hedra after the successful meeting to divide the land of the defeated Xitu-Fejian Clique is met with great celebration and pomp, reflecting the triumph and anticipation of a new era for the empire.

The streets are lined with cheering crowds, waving flags adorned with the imperial insignia. As Empress Maria Elvira I's car makes its way through the city, petals rain down from balconies above, creating a colorful carpet beneath her. The sound of music fills the air, and the scent of flowers permeates every corner. It's a moment of joyous unity as the people come together to celebrate their leader and the future prosperity of the empire.

The city's landmarks are illuminated with dazzling lights, casting a warm glow over the festivities. People of all ages gather in the main square, where a grand stage has been erected for performances and speeches. As Empress Maria Elvira I takes her place, she addresses the crowd with words of gratitude and hope, promising a brighter tomorrow for all citizens of the empire. The night sky echoes with the cheers of the people, a symphony of jubilation marking the beginning of a new chapter in Hedra's history.

As Empress Maria Elvira I makes her way to the grand new palace in Seville, crowds line the streets, eager to catch a glimpse of their beloved leader. The palace stands as a testament to the empire's strength and prosperity. Upon arrival, she is greeted by dignitaries and officials, who eagerly await her presence for the ceremonial ribbon-cutting. As she enters the opulent halls of the palace, she is filled with pride, knowing that it will serve as a symbol of her reign and a hub of governance for generations to come.

Once inside, her mood shifts back, she becomes more serious as she walks through the main hall where all her servants bow and curtsey to her. At the end of the hallway, her siblings await her on the throne room, they stand in line to kiss her hand then stand in order beside her throne as she takes her rightful seat. The head butler then announces the first guest, it’s Don Javier de Mairena, her Minister of Imperial Affairs.

Don Javier walks to the steps of the throne and bows. “Your Majesty.” he takes her hand kisses it as a form of submission and loyalty towards her.

“Minister.” Maria Elvira replies. “To what do I owe this visit? I am aware that other minister await behind the door.”

“It’s simply to discuss state matters your Majesty, the usual business now that the war is over. It is now time to focus on what matters, keeping the Empire afloat.” Don Javier says.

“Very well, let’s get this ceremony over with and start talking seriously.” Elvira replies.

Don Javier bows his head and then nods to the head butler who begins announcing the other ministers. Once everyone is in the room, Don Javier and the Empress lead them into the State Room where their meeting will be held.

“So, your Majesty.” Don Javier starts. “The other minister agree that even though you are 15 years old, it is time for us to discuss your wedding plans.”

“What?” Elvira says and gives a deadly look to every minister present.

Don Javier cleans his throat. “It is the monarch’s duty to further the bloodline in order to create heirs and therefore a stable nation.”

“One of your cousins in Espanela or in Hedran nobility would make a fine match, it would keep the dynasty intact.” One minister states.

“I will not marry one of my cousins.” The Empress replies.

“But your Majest-“ the minister continues.

“Do I have to repeat myself? I will not marry any cousin of mine. End of subject. What is the next subject we have to discuss?” The Empress says.

Don Javier looks at the other ministers then back at the Empress. “The next important subject would be our other Overseas Territories.”

“What about them?” Maria Elvira says laying back on her chair.

“After the war in Tamau, the authorities in Guinea, Guyana, Cape Verde, Maripoor, and the Bannanna Islands wish to have more autonomy and equal rights, similar to what Tamau has now after your most recent decree. They want to hold the same status as the Canary Islands do, either a Principality, a Duchy or even a Grand Duchy.” Don Javier says as he slides the messages over to the Empress.

Maria Elvira reads them carefully. “Okay, let’s attend their demands in order to avoid any uprising. Raise them all to the status of Duchies, that way they are all equal to the Canary Islands. Also grant them the right to elect three people to the Imperial State Assembly and the Ministry of the Overseas will be rotated every year between people from each overseas territory.”

The ministers nod in agreement. They go on with other subjects and the Empress finally stands up when the meeting is over, the ministers stand up and bow as she leaves the room. Don Javier watches as the rest of his ministers leave the room before closing the door and sitting down again.

He sighs and lights up a cigarette. “Of every child they could have chosen, they chose her.” He complains to himself before a knock at the door interrupts him. “Come in.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Amaral, walks in. “What are you still doing here?”

“Hello Amaral. Sit down, have a cigarette.” Javier points to the chair by his side and puts a cigarette on the table. “I was just thinking about the Empress.”

Ernesto chuckles. “Tough kid, isn’t she?”

“Maybe too tough. We need a way to pull the military’s influence away from her since of all her ministers are in the military, only the two of us are civilians. We will need some help.” Javier says as he puffs out smoke.

“Help? From who?” Ernesto asks.

“We need to find her a husband. One that can talk to her on a personal level and one that isn’t chosen by the other ministers. Once she is married, we do our best to push our wishes through him.”

“Any candidates in mind?”

“Send messages to the monarchs of Sovern and Athant, they are powerful nations, very culturally different from Hedra, especially in religion. Other beliefs may also help us on getting the Church off her back a little, she has been granting positions and titles to Church officials, religion has it’s place in society but not in government.” Don Javier says and puts out his cigarette. “Now let’s get to work.”

As her ministers left, Empress Maria Elvira made her way to her room accompanied by her ladies-in-waiting. They help her get undressed and into her nightgown and then, after curtseying, leave the Empess alone.

The bedroom of Empress Maria Elvira I is a masterpiece of opulence and sophistication, a reflection of her refined taste and regal stature. The walls are adorned with rich damask wallpaper in deep burgundy, complemented by intricately carved wooden panels featuring scenes from Hedran mythology, meticulously gilded in gold leaf.

The ceiling is a work of art in itself, painted with elaborate frescoes depicting celestial scenes and allegorical figures, bathed in soft hues of blue and gold. Crystal chandeliers hang from above, casting a warm, golden glow that dances across the room, illuminating every corner with a soft, ethereal light.

The centerpiece of the room is the grand four-poster bed, crafted from the finest mahogany and draped with layers of sumptuous velvet in shades of royal purple and gold. The canopy is embellished with delicate embroidery and adorned with cascading tassels, creating an air of regal grandeur.

The bedding is a symphony of luxury, with silk sheets as smooth as satin and a duvet filled with the finest down feathers, inviting the empress to sink into a cocoon of comfort and tranquility. Pillows of various sizes and textures are arranged meticulously, offering both support and decadence.

At the foot of the bed, an intricately woven rug in rich hues of crimson and gold adds warmth and texture to the room, while also providing a soft landing for the empress's feet as she rises each morning.

Near the window, a cozy seating area is arranged with plush armchairs upholstered in velvet, accompanied by a small table where the empress can enjoy her morning tea or indulge in an afternoon of leisurely reading. Draperies of heavy brocade frame the window, allowing just the right amount of sunlight to filter through, casting a warm, inviting glow over the room.

A vanity table stands against one wall, adorned with an array of exquisite perfumes, cosmetics, and brushes, each one carefully arranged in ornate silver containers. A large mirror framed in intricately carved wood reflects the empress's image, surrounded by a collection of sparkling jewels and heirloom pieces passed down through generations of royalty.

In Empress Maria Elvira I's bedroom, there are relics from the Empire of Daguo, Lemuria, and the native civilizations of Central Newfoundland, each with its own story of acquisition through conquest and war, adding layers of complexity to the room's ambiance.

From the Empire of Daguo, there is a set of intricately carved jade figurines, symbolizing prosperity and longevity. These artifacts were acquired during conquests in the eastern territories, a testament to Hedra's expansionist ambitions and the spoils of war in the Far East of Arcadia.

From Lemuria, there hangs a tapestry depicting scenes from ancient Lemurian epics, its vibrant colors and intricate details capturing the imagination. Among the golden relics from the native civilizations of Central Newfoundland, there is a ceremonial mask adorned with precious gemstones and intricate carvings. This artifact, acquired through conquest and exploration, symbolizes the empire's encounters with indigenous cultures and their rich artistic traditions. While its acquisition may be viewed as controversial, its presence in the empress's bedroom serves as a reminder of the empire's colonial history and the legacy of conquest that defines its borders.

As Empress Maria Elvira I settles into one of the plush armchairs by the window, she feels the soft velvet enveloping her like a warm embrace, offering a moment of respite from the demands of her duties. From this vantage point, she can gaze out at the sprawling gardens below, a lush oasis of tranquility amidst the bustling city beyond the palace walls.

The gentle breeze carries the scent of the recently planted flowers, mingling with the faint aroma of incense wafting from the nearby chapel. The distant sound of the nocturnal birds fills the air, adding to the serenity of the moment as Empress Maria Elvira I savors a rare moment of solitude.

With the weight of the empire's affairs momentarily lifted from her shoulders, she allows herself to relax, closing her eyes and letting the moonlight wash over her.

Maria Elvira sits at her ornate vanity, surrounded by the trinkets and treasures of her chamber. Her fingers delicately trace the intricate patterns of a diamond necklace, a gift from a foreign dignitary, as she ponders the weighty words of her ministers.

"Marriage... alliances... duty... It all feels so overwhelming..." she murmurs to herself.

Before she can delve deeper into her thoughts, the door to her chamber swings open, and Infanta Mariana Victoria, her elder sister, strides into the room with an air of confidence.

"Elvira, there you are! I've been looking for you." Mariana Victoria says.

"Vicky! What brings you here?" the Empress says startled.

"I sensed something was troubling you. Is everything alright?"

Elvira sighs, "It's just... I can't stop thinking about what my ministers said about marriage. They keep insisting I consider alliances, even though I'm only 15 years old. They are right, the weight of the empire's future rests on my shoulders."

Mariana Victoria nods sympathetically, "I understand, Elvira. It's a heavy burden to bear, especially at your age. But you don't have to carry it alone. You have me."

Elvira looks up at her sister, "Don’t you think I'm too young to be thinking about marriage?"

Vicky takes a seat beside her sister, "There's no easy answer to that question, Elvira. Marriage is a complex matter, and there are many factors to consider. But what's most important is that you follow your heart and trust your instincts. And remember, I'll always be here to offer guidance and support."

The Empress smiles gratefully, "Thank you, Vicky. Your wisdom means everything to me."

Vicky smiles, "Of course, Elvira. We're sisters, after all. Together, we can face whatever challenges come our way."

The sisters share a moment of understanding, their bond strengthened by their shared struggles and unwavering support for one another.

"I heard that the others will be sent away so they could serve Hedra in other ways." Elvira says.

"Yes. Maria Barbara will be sent the Duchy of Lisbon, Alberto will go to Asturias, Maria Luisa and João Carlos will go to Toledo where they will study to become a nun and a priest, Luiz Felipe and Maria Eleonora will go to Valencia, and Maria Letizia will stay in Castillia." Mariana Victoria replies.

"And you?" the Empress asks as she slowlys turns her gaze back to the gardens.

"They thought that my presence here would be beneficial to you." Vicky says with a smile.

Elvira smiles and turns back to her elder sister. "They are right. Thank you again, Vicky. I don’t know what I would do without you."

IC: With the signing of the "Treaty of Los Santos", the infamous "Blood Wars" are over.

IC:

Kaiser Otto can be seen staring down at metal globe of the world, specifically depicting every geographical detail of the planet, from the deepest valley, to the highest mountain. Labels of nations and seas are illuminated by a blue light, with the touch of a finger, can reveal information on every nation in the world; their news, data, etc. This instrument was built by the Kaiser's late father, who revolutionized everything from technology to geo-politics. Otto's endless stare is interrupted by the voice of his eldest son, Joseph II.

"Father, you've summoned me." the young, striking Prince stands at attention before his father,

"Joseph my son, now that you're sixteen, you're an adult now."

"I know."

"...Which means that you will have to take up adult responsibilities, which includes the title Kaiser."

"I understand, now that I am of age, you want me to become wed to someone of similar status."

"You're right, but it is rude to interrupt people. While you are of age, you still have much to learn."

"Who will I be marrying?" the young Prince gets to the point,

"An offer for the hand of Empress Maria Elvira I. of Hedra."

"This is a great opportunity for our House, placing an Alduin on the Hedran Empire will make us the strongest family in Rodinia, no - the world."

"Exactly."

"Then, what's stopping us?"

"Politics..."

ATTN:

Hello everyone, Barbarians, savages alike,

I would like to announce the deadline for the next regional map update, and would ask of you a small questionnaire, to give me a better understanding of your nation. These questions can be answered to me via telegram, just to keep the RMB clean and open for the election season. The deadline for your information is the 14th of this month, which means you have a week before the final stages of the map are implemented on the 29th of this month. If you happen to miss the 14th, well then you'll just be at my mercy. Get your lore, history, etc. together, and explain your nation in a brief summary, detailing your climate, geography, culture, etc. Those who've been here know the drill.

Q: What's coming out of this map?

A: Fresher borders, new nations, old nations, etc...

Q: Anything fresh or what?

A: I've been working on the sidelines a geography/climate/river map. I want people to work on their world building, and be inspired. Who knows, maybe we're planning a major role-play series where water wars begin to spring up out of nowhere, and that we're heading to a dark age, but what do I know?

If you have any other questions, please go crazy.

”Your Imperial Majesty,

I am delighted to invite your son, Prince Joseph II of House Alduin, to come to Seville, Hedra, in order to be properly introduced to Her Imperial Majesty, Empress Maria Elvira I. Hopefully this introduction will prove to be fruitful and strengthen the bonds between our two nations and possibly unite the Imperial Houses of Alduin and Isidro-Zambrano in matrimony. This invite, of course, also extends to you, your wife and the Sovern Ambassador in Hedra. We eagerly await your response.

IC: True Love?

A small, short, hairy man of diminuative stature, about 4ft 5in, stands outside the Hedran palace in Seville, trying to throw pebbles at the various windows in hopes of gaining the attention of Empress Maria Elvira I so that he may proclaim his love for her, hoping she will reciprocate since he is a believer in love at first sight. Most pebbles he throws don't even make it over the estate fences and walls and a few others he throws actually hit windows but in fact break them rather than just tap them. He goes window to window proclaiming his love for the empress.

"Hark! Elvira, fair maiden of my heart, with eyes like heavens' stars and lips of cherry hue! Thy presence doth ignite a fervant flame within! Aye, my soul doth yearn for thee, Elvira!

Giddy up, um-poppa-um-poppa, mow, mow! Giddy up, um-poppa-um-poppa, mow, mow! High-ho silver, away!

This night, at the Hungry House Cafe, we shall meet! And I shall shower thee with all the love I bear! Yes, even my last two Cruzeiros shall I spend! To seek the preacher's blessing for our union!

Then shall I sing, with joyful heart, Elvira, Elvira, my heart's aflame for thee! Giddy up, um-poppa-um-poppa, mow, mow! Giddy up, um-poppa-um-poppa, mow, mow! High-ho silver, away!"

AWOO!!! AWOO!!! AWOO!!!

IC: East Niholate Federation #1

After allocating significant funding from the East Niholate Federation Space Program (E.N.F.S.P.), "Project: Eric" is pushed into full-swing; launching the nation's first satellite, nicknamed the "Fat Donkey", into the planet's orbit. After a year of planning, the project would become a success. The satellite's purpose is to monitor the weather, climate, and topography. This new technology is a giant leap for the nation, which will now benefit with better understanding meteorology, and thus improve the nation's agricultural output. There are also other benefits to launching this satellite, as it has the proper modules, and was built with the finest resources available, making the satellite operable for at least fifty years. By then the nation will already be prepared to launch its own orbiting space station, and even possibly a lunar colony. This new faucet of patriotism can be felt throughout the country, as its people are prideful that the government was able to make such a leap, and are beginning to be more involved in how the state functions. In a recent speech given by the President, "We plan on making this a feat not only for our nation, but for the world. We aspire to work closely with other countries, and rather collaborate than fight with violence. Progression can only be achieved if we work together, not against each other."

A very small, blacked out business jet lands in Kiago and off steps a rather casually dressed individual. He wears black sunglasses, a tan men's sweater jacket, a t-shirt, pajama pants, and moccasin slip-on house slippers. He has long blonde hair and a greying beard. Despite his casual appearance he is in fact a representative of the Hyperborean Empire of Vostag, here for a meeting with Kiagoan leadership to discuss a possible purchase.
