Hey Everyone, thats 2 games down in the AstyCup Qualifiers, and we still have 4 of the 5 Groups up for grabs! Congrats to Marqueville for clinching Group C! We have a few good match-ups coming our way this Saturday, and dont forget you still have a chance to gather RP Bonus Points!!!

In Group A, San Joaquin Valley currently sit on top with 6 points with Noordenstaat in 2nd place with 4 points. Both play each other this weekend, so Noordenstaat can still pull an upset. Where they stand, Jafala & Yellow Star Republic are eliminated...

In Group B, same situation. Morroseta have the lead with 6 points while Trellin is pulling up 2nd place with 4 points. Both play each other this weekend so dont count Trellin out yet! Nynorsk Ostlijord & Bungussi have been eliminated...

Ive already stated that Marqueville has been crowned winners of Group C. They are the first team to Qualify for the AstyCup Main Event. They will play Andamonia next, who have 2 points. Even a win for Andamonia will only give them 5 points. Kwalawi & Polarus have been eliminated, only gaining 1 point so far.

Group D is the tightest of the whole lot, with New Pangus, Terra des Gaules & Nova Deseret looking to take the top spot. New Pangus is in 1st place with 4 points & a +2 Goal Difference, but Terra de Gaules is not far behind in 2nd with 3 points & a Goal Difference of 0, where as 3rd place Nova Deseret also has 3 points but a Goal Difference of -1. New Pangus & Terra de Gaules play each other next, were a win for New Pangus will assure their success. However, should PNG/TdG tie, it gives Nova Deseret a chance to pull an upset with a win over Red River Free State. If Terra de Gaules beats New Pangus, and NVD beats RRFS, it will go to Goal Differnce between the 2 sides.

Last but not least, Group E. Bankampar currently leads the group with 6 points, where Glisandia is in 2nd & Colchester Landing is in 3rd, both with 3 points each. Bankampar will play last place Cote de Cuivre, who are already eliminated, and should Bankampar lose without scoring a goal, it gives both Glisandia & Colchester Landing a chance to steal the group from under them should either of them win. If that does happen, Glisandia would need to outscore Colchester by 4 Goals, where Colchester would need to outscore Glisandia by 7 goals. If they happen to tie, the group will go to Bankampar....

So yea, thats a quick summary of the 1st AstyCup Qualifiers. Its been great fun hosting it, best of luck to everybody in the final match and hope to see you guys RP a little bit more in the Main Event which starts on Monday, hosted by Zitru!!!

the entire situation has rings of Russia - Crimea - Ukraine about it. there is a highly likely possibility that the AC's relationship with Romberg will be going cold.

The group draw for the 2016 Astyrian Cup has been made! Check who you drew here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=381960&start=25#p29615653

Do note that I used random.org to draw the groups and sorted all the main nations alphabetically into pots 1, 2 and 3. The puppets were sorted into pots 3 and 4. Zitru was automatically draw into Group A, as is custom for the hosts in major international tournaments.

The tournament starts tomorrow. Good luck all! :)

Good question. I'm not sure whether the scorinator I'm using will allow me to change the style modifiers midway through the tournament. If it does, I'll be happy to change it for you depending on who you're playing and how your team would play them. If not then I'll need to think of some other way to get around that.
